metal swarf is a real pain to remove, esp. from carpet... and the hot sparks hitting the interior or lacquered CF parts, vinyl, fabric or the glass stored in the car? (yikes) ... unless they are going to thoroughly detail this car afterward, then a simple bit of plastic would have saved so much work later... one thing to do it this way to your own car, but to a client's car...? what is he going to think when he sees this YT video...?
@@oh5148 going to cost a lot more time vacuuming all that dust out and the scratches that causes, barely takes 10 mins to put a drop cloth in with a bit of masking to stop the worst of it.
100%, the whole time I was like "okay for sure they'll put down plastic before doing this next step" then was surprised to see zero interior protection
Fantastic work! With those Ryobi tools, I highly recommend investing in the bigger batteries for them. They obviously last longer, but I've found the give a little more grunt too
Having replaced a few roofs for friends (and previously studied my arse through at least 70 videos on the topic), i can say that this is a great tut. Nice, to the point, clean and informative. Great job on it.
I want to do this to my FC Is there a benefit to riveting the roof to the rest of the car? Or is that overkill? Seems to me like it would be worthwhile if everything clears properly with the rivets in place.
I have a question. I have a Audi S4 (UR-S4) i no one makes any carbon bodypanels for these cars. Can you make panels for this car model or can I skinn my roof with carbon to stop the rust (sandblast first ofc) ?
UrS6 owner here and was just about to ask the same question. I've been contemplating 3d scanning the bumpers, fenders, and rockers to create a 90/C4 GTO inspired kit for the C4 chassis, but I also have a 3 year old and limited time.
Kevlar degrades badly in direct sunlight even more so than Epoxy resin. You can protect it to a degree with a clear coat liqueur but I think the Kevlar with tan quickly...
Any chance you could do a video carbon wrapping/ bonding overlaying (not really sure what to call it) a fiberglass product like a hood. Mainly for ascetic nothing structural.
When I first started this video I thought it was edited for everything to be monochrome except the dude standing their, but no that is just a side effect of literally everything in the background being black/grey/dark colored.
I whould love to see more turbofans being made!
All in favor, say I.
Think the I's have it.
Yes to the turbo fan video. Redundant or not I love watching. Keep it up Bandito's.
Yes to the lug mount turbo fans video!
One thing I don't understand is why didn't you put any covering on the interior?
Was also wondering why there was no plastic covering the interior?

To save time

Definitely need a video on the turbofans!

I'd like to see a turbo fans vid 👍
awesome video very informative, would like to see the turbo fans being made too please :)
Fantastic work!

If you want the power of the bigger battery but lighter weight they do a 2.5ah 18v so it's slightly bigger charge but more power
or just swap to a 40 volt system
I always loved the S13s, and the new roof looks fantastic. Always amazing work on here.
Nice work. I've learned a lot from watching you guys produce carbon fiber
Lug mount turbo fan video please.
Love these videos of carbon parts.

Hell yes to turbo fans!!! 🤘🏼
All the safety squints engaged.
Yes for turbo fan vid!
Yes! I would watch turbo build.
I love the opening scene. It almost looks like black and white with color pop
The orange crab stuff is their central nervous system and brain.
I want to do this to my FC

ill watch whatever you put up!!
How structural is the roof? Like could someone say for example make a lexan or plexiglass roof? i feel like that could look sick
just curious if riveting the roof after letting it sit would be a good idea? since all the spot welds are gone?
Great video but I was cringing watching you cover those mint type x seats with grinding dust and sparks
I think a silver fiber roof would look pretty sweet with some kind of lowrider style paint job
BANDITOS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lug mounted turbofans would be sweet
Too bad it's a slick top tho sunroofs look so much better
Do you guys do any custom work/commissions?
Yes to the fan 😮
Brother, make the video we are all here for the Carbon Kevlar porn :D
Amazing!!! More turbo fan please :D
Have you guys tried Ospho at all for rust converting? Seems to work pretty well for me, on minor surface stuff, prime right over it
Suprised you guys didn’t disappear again😅
Give it a few months. 😢
Squaaaadddd!!!!!
no hairs were involved in the making of this video.
@@bitzer8722 Deathstroke would agree 👍
Could you guys make one of these for an audi rs5? I'd like to get rid of my sun roof...
How is the seam created that divides the A-pillar from roof. I want to make my own carbon roof using this seam style for the 240sx coupe.
I have a question.

@@urs6onfuturas975 same here. 3yr old son 😄
i was just thinking of this like 3 days ago and viola theres a video :)
Have you made a coupe one yet? Need one to replace my sunroof
Realistically, how much would this cost to be done on an e36 coupe.
Will you be making one for coupes?
MMRS raided the break room for all those creamers 😂😂😂
Love you guys ❤️
I’m waiting for yall to make one for the s13 coupe so I can buy it and rip mine off
are you ever going to race the datsun
Blue crab mustard from Merrrland!... yeah I don't eat that either lol
I need to do this
Great video and great product.
Want to see ALL the things!
Can we get a carbon roof for a s13 coupe ?!?
Yes please!
Clampoholics Anonymous
Why do you choose car carbon-kevlar instead of just carbon?
Where is this roof purchased from?
Industrygarage.com
Please make the s13 coupe carbon fiber roof
Just make the turbo fan video. It's content. I just need my fix, man.
do the turbo fan vid
YES!
WHAT UP BOYSSSSS
I DONT WANT PEACE, I WANT VIDEOS, ALWAYS
10:18 looks like you need a Carbon/Kevlar handle for your sledge……(ahem) jus sayin. 😊
Привет из России 🤝👍. Я когда срезаю крышу после высверливания, использую торсион. Заточенный под углом кусок рессоры
What happened to the fe32
What is the total weight savings?

There’s 6 coats of UV stable clear coat on this roof, so it should hold up fine.
I want to see turbo fins
Nice.
What's the song that starts at 13:55?
So now that paint, dash and carpet are filled with stone and steel which will rust. Nice
Turbo fans fam
Parts of the vid made me think it was shot in black and white. The car playing tricks on the camera
More
man this is tempting to have done but i wonder what my body guy would charge me =/
❤

what a ridiculous assumption that we don't wanna see more turbofan builds
Turbo fans please....
Skipped the important part
