    Admire the craft and dedication of the workers - thank you. Without you we wouldn't have such high quality clubs.

    Surprising how labour intensive it is; quite refreshing no robots involved. Makes you want to go and buy a set...

      I toured the plant in Phoenix and was amazed at all the quality checkpoints before the clubs are finished!

    Hi mike, what a brilliant incite into how labour intensive the manufacturing and Specking of a ping golf club is. Amazing attention to detail. Almost inspires me to break the bank and go get custom fitted. One of the best videos I've seen. Loved it .cheers Andy woide

    The attention to detail and the labor involved is amazing! Makes me appreciate even more what goes into each club.. now I kinda want to see the iron/head casting process lol

    To think my G400 5-U Irons and Stealth 2.0 54 WS and 58 SS (blue dot) went through this process. Great clubs from a great company!! (Think I might go for a matching G700 4 iron!!) Interesting video... Thanks.

    I love how they laser align the grips. If I was ever going to use a ribbed grip it would be installed by PING.

    Great video Mike. Interesting to see how they match up the Swingweights using those flexible weight plugs. Smart If I didn’t get a set of custom built Mizuno JPX Forged irons last year, Ping i200’s would definitely be my go too iron.

    Little more hands-on than I expected. Didn't think Ping irons were that adjustable with loft and lie. Thought they were cast to that spec although that would be expensive to do.

    Hi , now i remember why i came on , i have just bought the new ping from American Golf East Ardsley WAKEFIED store , had a fitting by the guy in the shop . tried different shafts settings but was disappointed with my distance on simulater , is this so we buy if so should distance not be longer ?? i ask as my previous club went 230 in there but on course i hit drives of 285 plus , Now this NEW PING LATEST only went 212 at best can someone explain please. paul

    Great video Michael, very interesting to see how much manual labour still goes into a golf club.
    One question though... seeing how they bang the custom lie (and loft? ) into the club with a hammer, I wonder how these hold up in play then. I would expect if you hit a number of ugly fat and heavy shots, the loft and lie could well change, no?

    • @MichaelNewtonGolf
      @MichaelNewtonGolf  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      very little if anything, if they move 1 degree over a 2 year period hitting lots of balls then you've been unlucky! I would always recommend to check lies every 2 years anyway

    Where are the actual heads made ? Forged ?

    • @midlifebiker7424
      @midlifebiker7424 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most Ping heads are cast and made in Phoenix, US.
      Not sure where the forged heads are made..

    Ping are class, but you would expect their staff to wear proper ppe clothing. Coming to work in footy tops is just so wrong

    • @sharkhark

      Chris Waller I saw a ping tour years ago in the original Arizona location and they allowed their staff to dress casually as they like to improve their comfort at work. It looks like the UK is no different.
      I see no issue with them being allowed in tough working conditions to be comfy vs wearing a uniform. Nobody but their fellow workers see them
