That’s my Honda in the background lol I was out there fishing for a little while on my kayak it was a little slow out there but did find a few slot reds
You put the yak in at Palms fish camp! I live/work super close to there. Great fishing there and out in the deeper water of the St. Jonhs just on the other side of where that ramp is
That was fun and exciting action! Thanks for the Jacksonville stop, I didn't realize when I was there the good fishing I was missing! Hit up Blue Gabe in Stewart and do a duo TH-cam fish!! Fish to live live to fish my friend!
Enjoy the warm weather brother freezing our butts off in rhody was hoping to see you Sunday at striper day but I would choose the fishing and warmth myself ! Enjoy. Matunucksurfrat
Great video rich , I love fishing from my outback . The only thing that sucks is I feel like the process of getting everything ready to go just takes me too long because I being too much crap . If I can get to the point where I pack my rods, bare essential tackle , the wheels and a drink I'll be so much happier . I pack way too many " what ifs" ..
Tarpon get up in there in the summer....find the hole straight back. Up to 150lbs....caught my personal best creek red on the mud flat you were on in late March a few years back. 34" in about a foot of water with light tackle. Great videos, glad I found your page!!
Thought about striper fishing on the Saco River here in Biddeford, but we've got snow coming so you're the next best thing. Keep the videos coming. Thanks
Brother you need to go To Golden Meadow Louisiana and fish the marsh It's the best red fish fishery I have seen site casting to dozens of nice sized fish per day. Always calm And super fishy water. Thad Robichaux is the man over there. You would absolutely love it
I'm sitting here in CT, currently 11F (feels like -2), and dreaming about fishing 3 months from now. I am no ice fisherman so that's out of question so I'm here feeding my fishing instinct by watching you fish! :D
haha ahhh dang i'm shivering now. Ice fishing is fun, when the bite is on. Last year after fishing Lake George in -20 i kinda didn't have the urge to do it this year lol
Good video Man, you do decent for being in new territory but one thing about Reds in shallow water, give yourself some distance between the mark and you so you don’t let them on your there, if they sense anything they either will hold up and not bite or spook straight away, they’re pretty sensitive fish...
Bro, next time you're in Jax, don't stay in a cheap motel! I gotta spare guest room you can crash in... I also live uphill from the river in downtown Jax... If you ever wanna try for them downtown stripers, let me know!
I'm from savannah and live shrimp on one of those cajun popper floats is usually what worked best for me but even still thats some 5 star luck with that second stud
Good stuff as always. Just came back up from FL. If you get a chance in your travels on the gulf side, check out North Captiva island. Tore up on snook, trouts, and reds. Excellent action and not many people out there.
WHAT YA DOING IN MY TOWN?? getting outa that shitty weather up yonder??? The palms fish camp is a great place.....TROUT REGS GO TO SHIT HERE ON FEB 1ST. Florida doesn't want Trout fisherman to come here. I do GATORS, but that ends Feb 1. I guess. WELCOME TO DIRT WATER AND TOO MUCH CURRENT. toughest place in florida to fish inshore.
@Phillyfishguy Well I can see one reson he likes his hobie..it is pretty light weight which makes it possible for him to toss that thing on and off his vehicle with ease. That is probably worth more to him than a pedal drive that quickly goes in reverse while fighting a fish......I get that!
Thx for the vid. Living through your vids again this winter season while we wait for a little snow this weekend on Long Island. Just picked up a Brooklyn PK13 for my first kayak and I’m so itching to take it out in the back bay when the weather permits. Enjoy your fishing travels.
Awesome content, fish were a little on the smaller side but beautiful fish none the less, I wanna order that dark matter rod but I have a stradic 5000, an idk if the reel is jus gonna be to much for the rod, any suggestions on what’s the best size reel for this rod would be appreciated

Trade that Hobie in on an Old Town Preditor PDL and you can have instant reverse!

In Jacksonville, FL. Where did you launch in this video ? Thanks !
Rich , what fights better , a redfish like that or a striper
High incoming you want to be as far up the creeks as you can. Theyll push up hard until the tide tops out and fall back real quick.
Cool thanks for the tips. I'm addicted to Redfish now its all I can think about when I'm in the right area.
Awesome content, fish were a little on the smaller side but beautiful fish none the less, I wanna order that dark matter rod but I have a stradic 5000, an idk if the reel is jus gonna be to much for the rod, any suggestions on what’s the best size reel for this rod would be appreciated
How long do those pedals last? I’m planing on upgrading to a kayak with fins or propeller. But i think i like the the fins more.
