They follow stingrays because as the go across the bottom the rays scare up shrimp crabs baitfish ect...and then they catch an easy meal ive seen the same thing with bass following a carp or turtle pretty cool

Wow this was a cool lesson on fishing bait on a bailess vanstall.looks like its a bit difficult to get the line in the pickup when a fish is swimming away with the bait...
When the fish is a shark swimming away full steam ahead it can be difficult. Even with a bail sometimes it can still be popped back open if the line is flying off the spool. A Conventional reel i would say would be better to fix this if i was using the setup primarily for bait fishing for sharks.

Not to mention running into sharks like the Bull they ran into. The water in Texas is so murky that you have no idea what is all around you including Sting Rays and sharks!

yesterday went on the boat, got a nice 19 incher red, wish it was 20. but then we weren't getting any bites, we hovered over a sandy spot. and the trout bite was crazy, every..single..cast was a trout, it was a shrimp popper with some not very popular clear shrimp lures that we got at ace hardware.
Wow sounds like an epic day!! I haven’t caught one trout down here this year.

What do you do to quickly dispatch the fish you plan to keep?
Ehh kinda hard to explain but usually a little knock on the head and then I’ll make a small cut in the soft tissue behind the gills and they bleed out really quickly.

It is sooo very hard to find any kind of reasonable access in Metro Miami that you're probably better off traveling elsewhere.
