This week i had a bit of a disaster! hopefully it will be a cheap fix and I can get it back on the road! I have a playlist of all the golf episodes here: • Mk5 Golf Videos Have Fun, Super Ron!
I've read online some have notches but I've done loads of these and never actually seen one in real life, and this definitely didn't. Thanks for watching 😁
Interesting video 👍 I just got myself 1.9 TDI mk5 as a project from a friend.. she run it to 190k miles with full service history and passed it on to me cheap to keep it going Lol 😂
A question for you, I was intrigued seeing that you were replacing your sump on this car because I own one. Does the oil pump in your Golf have a balance shaft inside?? I hear that VAG tdis do have hex balance shafts in them and they wear down because they're made from softer metal than the receiver in the oil pump. I ask because there aren't many, if any, instructions or TH-cam videos on the specific job. Thanks for the videos.
@SuperRon did you know those orange dipsticks are prone to cracking and falling into sump? There's a layer revision (yellow) and aren't very expensive!
Hi , the flywheel is notched to install those 2 difficult bolts at the sump straight in 🙏👍

Awesome video as always ron love it when you put a video on keep up the good work mate 👍
Thanks for watching 😁
Great video as usual. Who would have thought such an innocent looking ledge on the track would be enough to crack the sump.
Certainly not me 🤣 but that is the problem with cast ali, not alot of flex. Thanks for watching 😁

Why didn't you buy a brand new sump?
