    A little more editing would be a better product. Most do not care for long stretches of walking to gates or scenery outside of the plane. Most want to see what features there are how they work, food and drinks and helpfulness of the crew. Shorter would be better. You have a nice speaking voice so don’t be afraid to talk more!

    Thanks for the video. And awesome airfares! I would pay for the upgrade to premium seats (much better seats) if a full flight. However on an eight hour flight from Miami to Berlin I seriously doubt the plane will be half full this time of year. There's a good chance to move to a completely empty set of seats and lay down for the entire flight, I've done it many time. Just make sure to talk with flight attendants what you want to do they like to be in control.

    I have been reading about Norse, it is really interesting. They took over the Norwegian airplanes over for better lease/owner rates. They have 15 planes but on a slow strategy launched in 2022 with 10 planes, leasing out the other 5 planes so they did not lose money on them. In 2024 they now have 12 of the planes with 3 remaining on lease to other customers. Next year they will have all 15 planes. They served nearly a million customers in 2023 compared to 120,000 customers in 2022. Their premium product has 44 inches between seats, and the seatback goes back 12 inches. On Delta Premium Select in comparison there is 32 inches and the seatback goes back 6 inches. So this is better than the mainline carriers. Plan to use it for my family to go to Europe in 2025.

    Another excellent video, Dom. The musical score was on point, and those early morning arrival shots into Gatwick were fantastic! £125 for an economy fare from London to Boston is insanely good. Though I do worry about the cabin being fairly sparsely populated (will Norse be able to sustain fares at those sorts of loads, or will they go the same way as the old Norwegian long haul??) ... The Premium Economy definitely looks like a reasonable deal for a transatlantic flight. Please update us on progress with the restraining order for the individual who was playing footsie with you on the flight. I mean, sometimes that can be nice, but there are times when it's just plain irritating!!

      In fact Norse has now suspended this route until end March 2024. One must wonder if it will restart. I say that because, for summer 2024, Norse is quoting *one-way Y class fares* of $1,400 + on most if not all days. Now when airlines do this they want to discourage customers from making a booking ... enough said.

    An observation and a thought. Remember when the budget airlines used to have the hand me down aircraft and the flag carriers the new. That’s almost reversed these days. Why is Norse Atlantic going to make it when as you say there’s a lot of airlines who have failed in the long haul budget sector? Others have gone the shiny new equipment route and failed. How do Norse not only make it but survive whatever economic meltdown is out there in the future?

    • @WorldWide_Dom
      @WorldWide_Dom  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe it’s a lot of do with simplicity and cost savings. They used a single aircraft type that has a decent track record.

    • @truebrit3578
      @truebrit3578 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fair comment although to be fair others have done the same and failed. For me its in the growth period having the luck to avoid an external crisis that either reduces travel significantly or pushes say fuel prices up. Another is growth. To succeed long term it a long haul budget airline needs a pretty big network. Getting through the early period (when a lot of investor money is being burned) to a middle period (where the real risk lies) to the promised land of scale is generally where people fail. Ramping up too quickly generally ends in disaster. Then there is the fact thar mainline airlines are now getting into this market - think Scoot owned by Singapore airlines. That allows airlines like Scoot to use the parent’s infrastructure (say a gate at an airport, or catering, or fuel contracts) which pure independents do not have access to.
