Great sound.Only managed it to fly once on a 757. This flight made me to the aviation enthusiast I am today.I hope I can get another chance before they are all gone now that the non-exciting Airbus A321NEO LR is going to replace that classic
That wasn't too long on the reversers. He was toying with the throttle on the approach and looked like he was coming in a little fast so on landing his speed was probably 10 knots higher than normal, so reverse thrust was on until they get under 60 knots, then you bring it to idle. Usually standard airline procedure. I agree though, none of the reverse action on the cowling could be seen from your seat.
Love the scenic view of the suburbs of D-FW, why I always loved visting this great facility, unfortunately, I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW LOCATION OF THE OBSERVATION DECK, ITS BEEN MOVED TO THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF THE AIRPORT, WE LOVED IT WHEN IT WAS IN THE SOUTHEAST SIDE 😭. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS WITH ME 😊✌️👍
+spanky44mag well that's the airport students prefer to do pattern work at cuz the controller at TKI is kinda mean, but I love em . He gets all pissy with me and I feed on it . I asked him for a wind check one time and he got all bitchy and said " I just gave you a wind check! " as I was heading for ads , I call him princess . After that ,For a solid month I had heavies flying over my house lol but yea didn't mess with my sleep , I love to have planes flying over head . My second apartment was right in the path of runway 33 at ads , I was on the 3rd floor, a stones throw away from landing aircraft . Slept like a baby. I love planes , jet engines all that are music to my ears .
Man...it's been 6yrs since you posted that and i get an..ear-orgasm everytime i see and hear it..nothing like a 757 and a good thrust reverse landing...I hate when pilots land oh so softly with no reverse thrust..Now compare the sound of 757 and the non-sound of the new CS300 which is too quiet..
I have been on several flights throughout my life & I have never experienced a plane throttling up on approach. I suspect the pilot was in a hurry? So he flew the entire flight at a faster speed than normal & came in a little too fast
Nothing spectacular about this video, you want to know what spectacular landing video is, then see "INCREDIBLE!! Boeing 747-400 MEGA SPLASH during thrust reverse - EVA Air Taipei Landing! [AirClips]" video...thats an example of spectacular.
"We like to thank you for choosing US Airways" As if we really have a choice to choose any other different airline nowadays because the airline industry monopolized the market and eliminated any real competition like what we used to have back then in the 1970's to the early 1990's. Sooner or later there will only be one or two major airline carriers that can get away with price fixing cost and shrink the sizes seats and spaces between seats and charge you to use the restroom. I wouldn't be surprised if one day they'll charge you for the air you breath and raise the cost of your ticket even more because they know frequent fliers will have no choice but to reach deep into your pockets to charge you more money as more competition is eliminated.
Loved it. As a pilot I say thanks.

My very favorite airplane!
I enjoyed it Love the 757.
The 757 is an incredible airplane. Too bad you don’t see much of these aircraft anymore.
Some delta 752 still fly to JFK.
LOVED IT!! Thank you!!
We need to like more on this channel
A great landing for the best airliner ever built
That’s badass👍👍👍

Great video
Yep, I heard it. That's powerful. Some captains do that!!
Kitty Burnett it also depends on how much runway they have. Sometimes they can just use normal braking
1:10 Grapevine Mills and 121....man i miss living in Dallas...best city in the US
1:10
Awesome!
good vid!
they dont reverse thrust when landing. duh
Click bait title alert, every reverse thrust is amazing
I flew that trip hundreds of times! AA, retired.
Wow! It's not even in the rain...
Its rare for a 757 to land in DAL. It landed once a while ago.
Looks like a landing on 17L. Good video
i love dfw
You can HEAR it!
well why do u think this video was dedicated to reverse thrust for?
i didnt see the engine of the airplane doing reverse thurst
marc sagana The engine nacelle(outer shell) when split into 2 or more pieces does the opposite and pushes out air that's reverse thrust
Yeah, but that's not visible in this video.

Wow . I fly my small plane over ther all the time from Addison American flyers.
Do you ever fly to mesquite KHQZ?
+spanky44mag yea dude I love that field- over there by Lake Ray Hubbard.
I live almost directly on the approach path for Rwy36 . Watch y'all fly all the time :-)

I listen toATC and the hqz controllers sound really cool. I love hearing the little jets and KingAirs
nice
Nice :)
out of interest the hostess accent would be from what part of a America?
A little misleading on the title of the video...but a quality 757 landing/engine video, nonetheless.
There is nothing incredible or even unusual about this.
You're right, but if he puts that in the title he'll get more views.

Must have been a hot day. There is generally reduced engine performance when it's too warm.
I have to say - what was incredible about that ?
Extended reverse thrust. Usually it's not that long.
The high power of the reverse thrust and how long it was
@@757Superfan These people clearly know nothing about the 757 lol
@@JVGordonII fax
Looks like the captain wanted to use the engine reverse with little to no brake.
Not unusual at all. Brake replacement is a lot more expensive than 10 seconds of reverse thrust fuel burn over time.
Last time I went to Dallas the pilot had let the flaps out late
Hmm, that sounds unusual!
Incredible. Waste of bandwidth. Your other posts much better.
Wait wrong airport lol. Its DFW.

I didn't see anything spectacular nor interesting.
well go away then
I have been on several flights throughout my life & I have never experienced a plane throttling up on approach. I suspect the pilot was in a hurry? So he flew the entire flight at a faster speed than normal & came in a little too fast
Possibly low throttle, the plane could be going down too much and throttle can counter the effects
Like at 400 hundred feet

so why are u here

A lot of miserable and unappreciative viewers here. Nice sound, nice video. Thank you!
Ridiculous, a very normal landing and reverse thrust.
It was not the longest reverse thrust I've ever seen.
I did not hear nor see nothing
Spectacular? Looked like a pretty routine deployment of the reverse thrusters and landing. Nothing "spectacular" noted here.
aand once again american airlines does a horrible landing. :p did 6 flights with them and all of them were awful hard breaking landings.
Fran437 This landing was fine... From an actual pilot stand-point, it was done very well
Nothing incredible. Cannot see the reverse thrust. Engine sounds the same as others.
Atleast American Airlines don't abuse passengers like United LOL
