    Hannah Arendt, the German-American historian and philosopher, has a quote about the tactics of today’s politicians,
    "The constant lying is not aimed at making the people believe a lie but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore. A people who can no longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong."
    "And such a people, deprived of the power to think and judge, is, without knowing and willing it, completely subjected to the rule of lies. With such a people, you can do whatever you want"

    Fascists, in principle, deeply believe in the importance of social hierarchy, which they see as natural and requiring preservation with force if necessary. In principle, communism and socialism are motivated to dissolve hierarchies based on class, status, etc. In reality, new hierarchies were created within 'actual existing socialism' but this is a very important distinction between the ideologies.

    Inter war era Eastern Europe had an assortment of different ethnicities and budding, political movements, in the wake of the collapse of empire. In these budding, political movements, many in roles of leader ship were your, most educated and and brightest intellectuals, often many of these individuals were Jews. I'm sorry, but there's some oversimplification here. If you read Stephen Kotkin, he says that there were repeated efforts by the Soviet Union to form an anti-fascist alliance with Western Europe (UK, France), but they were repeatedly rebuffed. This forced to the USSR seek out a nonaggression pact with Nazi Germany. And it had three-ponged purpose: (1) send the Nazi war machine West; (2) technology transfers from Germany to the USSR in exchange for raw materials; and (3) establishment of spheres of influence/territorial partitions.

  • @IvanLeonard-b7y
    @IvanLeonard-b7y หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The supposed Non-Aggression pact between Germany and Russia was actually a secret alliance. Not many people know that because it's not contained in any history books written before the mid-1990s. The reason being, in the mid-1990s Russia allowed historians more access to their archives and this was the most interesting fact that came from that access. Protip: Old history books are often missing important information.

    3:22 national socialism was not meant to be confusing. It was what it said 😂 socialism only for the nation/german people. A socialist state for german people and the jews were the biggest threat. It is confusing for modern people, because we think that nationilism is right wing, but in fact it is socialism in its core. The reason why national socialist went to war with marxism is because marxism was international and a form of globalism. National socialist also have a heritage from german volks socialism while fascism originated from marxism. Fascism did not believe in international but also not in rascism. 30% of italian goverment was jew up to 1938-1940, only after Mussolini was forced by Hitler to implement anti jews laws, italy turned racist. And even then only a few jews were taken. 3 different ideologies, in competition with each other, all socialist but a little different. Those were the times of socialist ideologies clashing after rising in 1900s. Saying fascism or nationalism is right wing is only modern marxism propaganda. Marxism won the socialism wars and so the victor decides history 'truth'

Right wing parties here in Europe aren't as shameless in making such claims since they know people aren't as ignorant about their own history. The Nazis were anti- union and were privatizing in a way that was never seen in any other European country. No, it absolutely was. At the time in Weimar Germany, socialism was very popular among a large swath of normal germans (and communism to a lesser degree). It is telling that a big part if what attracted people to the nsdap was staunch and often street-violent opposition to communists. Quickly the ideological socialists who were part of the workings of the party leadership were very quickly kicked out, imprisoned, exiled, or killed when they began to gain significant power and were totally sidelined or removed once they were in power. Capitalists and large capitalist companies endorsed the nsdap and not because of socialism, but because they knew they were the best chance for preserving capitalism and being friendly to them as business and good for their interests.

    Political ideologies are all the same in their final result: The masses being controlled by a minority. The difference is the time during which a particular ruling minority is in power.
    With democracies, there are elections every 4 years in which the masses believe they are choosing who governs them. With dictatorships, the timeframe is based on how well the party in power keeps the military "happy" and the masses fearful. The various "isms" have all their pros and cons on paper, one certianly can't say that ALL of socialism is bad or all of capitalism is bad or all of communism is bad. What we can do is look at the actual results in the places where these ideologies have been implemented and see happens and draw the conclusions there, always being mindful of the "no true scotsman" fallacy.

      We reached a day where a jew can't show Hitler nor swastikas because it's inappropriate. Even though the contents of the video have categorical criticism. You can't whitewash history at the end of the day, the access to information nowadays is practically free and you don't need historians to record it. If you can't be shown the true face of human nature how are we supposed to tame it. The images of the Holocaust, WW1, WW2, japanese invasion of China, devastation of Japan, Korea, Vietnam war, Iraq war, Bosnia, Kosovo etc. and the current war in Yemen, Sudan, Ukraine and Gaza. We have images of all of this but we have difficulty accessing these images because they are censored. If you even try to shed some light into these kinds of holes you end up like Mr. Assange. You do have a totalitarian cult but by omission.

    Sadly, anti-semitism existed in the Soviet Union as well, whereby massive political purges or "pograms" would take place against ethnic minorities including the Jewish community.

      You’re right. The Soviets and Nazis demand to destroy community and religion in favor of political division and national party favor is insane.
      I’m glad you agree that the nazis and socialists had the same end goal as our two parties have today
