Can we get a Cletus grass update?!?
I forgot about that
You're not going to get anything until the Resort is done. 5 to 10 years that grass will look really good
Cleetus!
He just did on the electric bike
Been forever
First thought: Those are some nice outdoor chairs and solid.
I know. They look to be in good shape. Hopefully they don't toss them
Demo Tip - tear down things onto the slab/floor. It's 100 times easier to clean up because it's a hard flat surface. Once the debris gets outside this footprint, it's much harder to clean up.
I swear every time Mikey gets involved in a project like this, an OSHA handbook bursts into flames.😂
😂😂😂
Suggestion: Somewhere on this property you have to have a legit hardwood dance floor for some Texas two-steppin’. It’s required. See Paragraph 15, subsection 9 of the Texas Resort Handbook.
😂 that's a great idea!!!
And rollerskating 😛
I thought that was Article 2 paragraph 16 subsection 12?

"Mikey like a hurricane" sounds like a great shirt idea. A silhouette of Mikey with a sledgehammer and shingles flying. Lol
Hurricane Mikey. Yesss
In his g string , yes......
The chairs that were thrown at the beginning of the video, if they are painted, can be reused as outdoor chairs. Since they cannot be done as quickly as the wooden ones. You can reuse them... They only need a coat of washable paint. 😅
exaclty my thought. they seem like good chairs. you can evenblast them and powder coat.
The amount of decent stuff they throw away in these renovation videos is baffling.

Can we get a limited time “Off the Ranch” shirt. Miss that name 🥲
I agree! I bet if Matt asked us before the name change, we would’ve voted “off the ranch”

The cave videos STAYS! Maybe one day, you can build a small roof/house over it, so it doesn't get flooded, put in a spiral staircase with whisky tasting or something and just name it "the mancave" ;)
Also, I think you should make the moon eclipse event a yearly thing.. of course, there will not be anymore putting out the sun, but you can have a camping festival with music and all. You can build a permanent stage, bbq pits etc. Can be big n' fun.
18:20 It would be cool if that pasture in the background was seeded with bluebonnets. Just think of the springtime diorama that would present when people got their wedding pictures taken from the new overlook.
Hey Matt!! I’m a civil engineering student at Murray State University in Ky, and just finished a course over sustainability and design within new construction. We mostly discussed different LEED certifications that you can achieve through different construction processes. I know in previous episodes you’ve talked about utilizing main structures like the restaurant and building from that, and you’ve built “sustainable” structures in the past. Have you considered looking into a green building certification like LEED or Green Globes for some of your structures on the resort? It would be cool to see something like that incorporated to the design process, and plus it aids with financial stability later on!
The clock is on the way, Matt! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it 🫡
My old boss used to say, "Don't stand there thinking about it, just hurry up and get it done"

I love the cave videos!! Reminds me of my 1st blind date with my hubby. We went to sequoia calif. for the weekend. He took me to a cave on the side of a mountain. I was so scared but so glad I did it! We’ve been married for 37yrs!
I'd be glad to have that patio furniture.
One man's ceiling is another man's floor
I thought it was a waste as well, new coat of paint and the majority of those chairs and lounge chairs would be perfectly fine for another ten years
"perfectly fine" Unless you wanna rent it out and some 300lbs person falls through, gets injured and is going to sue you
I've noticed a lot of things being dumped when they could have been easily repurposed or recycled. I suppose it's cheaper to buy new and write it off against tax than reuse. That's typically Murican. Sad.
Put those table and chairs out by the with a free sign. Gone before you know it!
Hey Matt don’t you own a fancy-schmancy dump trailer that would make it quicker to haul the debris off!
Matt: "Mikey's like a hurricane!"
My brain: " Here in Duckburg."

“Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes!”
Unless that metal furniture has rusted to hell, a quick clean-up with a brass brush attachment on an electric handheld drill should bring it back to near new, especially if given a quick lick of paint. Even if you don't want it, a local charity might be interested.

A lot of those old style metal chairs with the good design people are looking for those for patio furniture because all you Gotta do is remove the old paint primer and paint any color you want either buy or make cushions for you go to Walmart / Amazon and any place they sell many cushions for those type of chairs And just throw them away you couldn’t buy those no more…😳😳😳😳
I Love Mikey. He is like a grown up 5 year old. Endless energy and chaos. 🤣
I loved seeing him flailing his arms in the background trying not to fall over!

You can build a cheap huge firepit out of cinder block on the outside, fire brick on the inside. Stucco the outside to cover the brick. Maybe it’s just the PA Dutch/Amish country in me, but this is how we hold community BBQ events. There’s a series of top/bottom grates over the pit that sit on 45 degree angle iron, meat goes between the grates, then whole sections are turned over the coals. You can do a lot of meat even on a small one.
Someone would love to have hat patio furniture
And they still can love it and make it their own. But!!! That could be a little difficult.
Matt, I love seeing the progress you're making on the resort property. I DO want to see more cave videos for sure. I much prefer caves over barn destruction.
I like the furniture you just threw out in the yard!

Matt, your videos have been a highlight of my week for the past few years. I don't know what it is about them, but it is just comforting to watch. So, thank you!
Don't replace the grill. Since you are going to have multiple entertainment sites, invest in a mobile cooking station that you can move based on the event. Smoker...grill...pizza oven...deep fryer...whatever fits with the menu you want to provide.
Of all the stuff, that grill is useless. A solid gas grill makes more sense for big events.
@@KameraShy When I said 'don't replace the grill', what I mean was get rid of it altogether.
My suggestion is to build a mobile kitchen. It could include a gas grill, smoker, pizza oven, deep fryer, or whatever makes sense based on the menu the ranch wants to offer guests. Should also include a refrigerator and generator.
When the next event happens you pull the trailer up to the main kitchen, load it with whatever supplies are needed and then park it at the event site. By the river...no problem. At the range...no problem. At one of the pavilions...Mikey can make it happen. Even poolside for Independence Day festivities. Incredible flexibility.
And then, when the number of events grows you just build another one to service multiple sites.

All that metal outdoor furniture you're destroying is still good, and is expensive. If it's rusty, have a local powder coater refinish it.

Yes!!! They can be cleaned and repainted! I don't have respect for you if you don't bother to reuse what you already have! Bad karma
This whole episode could have used and adult to say, that metal furniture is reusable, those cedar post and rails aren't bad, cedar doesn't really rot. Those cedar shake shingles can just be pressure washed and they are expensive as hell.... etc.

Hey Matt, you love trailers so just get a big Grill/Smoker on a trailer? Then you can use it anywhere you want? You are welcome.
The Texas trailers place he loves probably even makes them and he could have a fleet of them added on one by one as event volume increases with a potential side hussle of catering and or events rentals with said trailers. At Dominion Power we rented them for worksite parties for new construction buildings and corporate events/retreats all the time.
Old grill might make a great job box to keep tools in remote areas you can't secure. Added bonus, it's urban camo!
I've worked construction before. Demo was always my favorite part. It's a great way to exercise and relieve some stress.
Pro tip when pulling something that you think might snap and break when pulling with a truck… if you worried about breaking back window and you have a tool box open it. And it will generally cover 80% of it. Better than nothing.
Tannerite would have possibly made this demolition day a little cooler. LOL
