- This is part 5 of a 100% walkthrough of Banjo Kazooie (XBLA version). This part includes Freezeezy Peak. This is one of my all-time favorite games and I just recently decided to purchase the Xbox Live Arcade version of it. This walkthrough is going to be a relatively quick 11 part series.
This channel features instructional & highly edited video game guides, walkthroughs, speedruns and other uniquely transformative videos. My own personal gameplay, extensive editing & creative input are clearly added into each video, ensuring that all videos adhere to TH-cam's partner program guidelines. My walkthoughs take tremendous amounts of work & editing so that all videos are straight to the point & can be used as professional video game guides. All gameplay is my own & is recorded and edited solely by me. Permission to upload each game was provided by the game publisher.

I personally prefer these types of gameplay videos over all those with voice-over -commentary- bullshitting around. They're long(er, more) tedious, and most of the people who make those are just making - often wannabe funny and/or overreacting - comments over things happening in the game and rarely _explain what actually happened._

Wow man! This game.. Literally my childhood right here. I'm 24 now, and grew up on this and Zelda.. Many days I couldn't wait to get home and switch this on to try and find that one puzzle piece or the rest of them notes!.. Thanks for the nostalgia man.
I feel the same way about this game and a lot of other N64 games. I'm 30 years and I pretty much grew up with the SNES/N64 era. I still enjoy most N64 games whenever I go back and play them.
....me too, I played Banjo, 1080 Snowboard, Golden Eye mostly. Then on PS 2, I Played Metal Gear Solid 1, (first game ever.) Those were the days, long, long ago they were.

10:55 In the Winter Area of Click Clock World, which looks very much alike Freezeezy Peak, Mumbo's in Vacation, unable to transform the Duo as it's too cold, but in Freezeezy Peak he finds that No Problem.
I am replaying this game (About 6 hours in) and it's more fun than I remember it! Def looking forward to the clock world and haunted house levels!

The best childhood game ever! Had it on Nintendo 64 since 4-5 y/o, never finished it tho!
I JUST beat this game last week. I had it when I was a kid but I never could beat it back then. Got an N64 with the UltraHDMI mod last year and got Banjo Kazooie. Started my game maybe a month ago and finally beat it for the first time in my life and I’m 28 now.
I love this game. I just start playing it now

I remember the Prima guide for Banjo-Kazooie, because it was a bit different to how they typically made guides.
Firstly, they typed it up in a cartoony font, much like the game's text, and not in a more traditional typing font. Then they had all these nice colouring pencil-esque illustrations for all the levels and parts of the lair, in order to point out everything on it, and they took a more poetic tone and hands-off approach to the guide.
It's written more narratively, like an actual story rather than most nonfiction, but still throws in a lot of helpful hints. For instance, the Click Clock Wood puzzle, where you have to activate the switch and warp back to it, has a caption that says something like "Sorry Banjo, it looks like it'll be a while before you have enough Jiggies to open up Click Clock Wood". It's things like that.
Most of the guide isn't traditional paragraphs- it's more like a theme park map in that it's illustrations of an area, with a lot of captions and lines pointing to the relevant parts. I don't know how attractive I'm making it sound, but it's nice in that it points out what to do without directly telling you what to do most of the time, and you read it and feel like they really captured the spirit of the game. It's more informal than a lot of their guides usually were. (edited for clarity)

This should be the world where you learn the turbo talon trot so that you can beat the polar bear in the race. Kazooie should've had the ability to do the beak bomb attack when she first learnt how to fly.
Yeah although there aren't any Airial target for Kazooie to hit in Treasure Trove Cove though and the only target in Gobi's Valley to hit is the target statue with Kazooie on it about Rubee and Toots Pyramid.

I hated almost every task which forced me to use the beak bomb attack.

Yeah, aiming with Airial Ace Attack is annoying the trick is to aim on the same level as your target and time your shot so you can hit your target, (I lost a lot of health or fell off the Final Battle Area against Grunty for mis-timing it, however you can use the airial attack just as you fly higher)

I was today years old that I knew Banjo was a Brown Bear while the Papa was a Polar Bear, which is why Banjo was so much smaller than the Papa Bear

Lol, well she is helping you to go through the quiz easier if you do find and talk to her, she has 10 locations and each location she tells you 3 secrets about Grunty each one will stay the same or change depends in when you start a new save file).
I like to imagine that had Nintendo bought Rare, there'd be a 3DS port of this game and Tooie.

0:17 I found the difference in this igloo of Boggy, In the right side of the wall there was a portrait of Boggy's children, Groggy, Soggy and Moggy in the N64 version. But in the Xbox live arcade version, The portrait shows Boggy and two clones of Moggy.

when i play this game, i only use the talon trot move to climb up steep slopes; i don't use it to move faster since the constant grunting sound gets annoying eventually
after giving up on gruntilda's boss fight (my "high score" is when the jinjonator statue rises out of the roof and trying to activate it), i decided to pretend gruntilda has been defeated and is now trapped underground so this means i will skip her boss fight and instead start banjo-tooie

I swore, you missed a Jiggy!
There is 1 jiggy that you can't get until you get the running shoe ability in Gobi's Valley. I come back here after Gobi's Valley to finish it.
He's just going to grab the speed-shoes before he tries it. Racing Boggy without them just doesn't work.
Yeah that's the Gruntilda Switch Jiggy from Freezey Peak, he can't get it easily without the Turbo Trainers from Gobi's Valley first.

I used to speed run a lot of games. In fact, I have a single segment speed run of this game on my channel from a few years ago on the N64 version. That run was a lot faster than this walkthrough, which was done just for fun.

Bears and other animals with fur have heat regulation, and while bears normally hibernate during the winter, it's not unheard of for bears to walk around during this time. Banjo's anatomy protects him from the cold. Kazooie is in Banjo's backpack, so she's close enough to get heat from his body warmth.
Or, you know, it's a video game. Logic is a selective beast in them.
Well Banjo and Kazooie can get protected from the snow because if their Fur and Feathers, but not Icey Water they need the Walrus Banjo transform that has a thick layer of blubber or Fat that keeps Walrus Banjo Warm.

I know this might sound weird for a child (I'm 13 years old) but when I was younger I would play the N64, GameCube and Gameboy Advance after school, people usually expect children to play Xbox One, PS4, Wii U ect, then a few years later we got a PS2 then when I was 8 I got an Xbox 360, I feel like I'm the only child who played the older consoles when I was really young.

@@AnthonyMtheGamerArtist 'Guide The Twinkles' and 'Be a Star' are the same I think (unless the 'Be a Star' one is linked to the Sled that you have to ride to hit Boggy's stomach for him to cough up a jiggy).
@@kajschott7698 You mean the rematch race with Boggy with the Turbo Trainers?, yeah it is difficult however you do move faster when you jump up the slopes (Like PackAttack did with the Walrus) or jump when you ontop of the presents and land on the edge of the ledge near the Sir Slush is standing on top the separate present (with 4 music notes surrounding him) near Wozza's cave.

Paul Shrubb the game is on Xbox 360 but it is also backwards compatible with Xbox one. If you're son has an Xbox one, just go to the xbox store and search up Banjo Kazooie. If he has a 360, then search the same thing on the xbox store.

How is this a 100% of Freezeey Peak if you didn't complete the second race for the jiggy?
You can't get 100% here right away so I came back in a later part of the walkthrough. The walkthrough does show how to get 100% in the game if you watch all of the parts.
you find it disturbing that the presents are gonna die as soon as they've been opened at least enemies in this game die looking like their made of sticky lego-esce parts and not blood, guts, and body parts all over
