Ah Yukina, one of the cutest creature in the japanese metal scene, who will kill you by her vocal, both harsh and cute. I call them, a female version of Maximum The Hormones, because both have 4 members and love to play with different music genre... in one song lol. And then the rap and harsh vocal mix is also a trademark of Daisuke (singer of MtH). But if I want to be completely honest, I love Yukina's voice as much as Matsuri's (the blue haired guitarist). she has a perfect voice for this kind of music, which has just the right amount of power and emotion to play on the sensitive chord if she have to.

Just found your channel because of Hanabie. I scanned your past reactions, and it is clear you are ready for Lovebites. "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html After you process that, it is strongly suggested you see a live clip. "Holy War" th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html Honestly, with Nightwish's future uncertain, Lovebites may inherit the crown of best metal band in the world.

The song is about the battle with sweet things and the problems they obviously cause. It's all about excuses to eat sugar and the temptation advertisers etc. create with their crap. The line Yukina growls at the end basically says "in the end it's up to me alone". That's why she crushes the cake instead of eating it. She's a smart girl. ;)

Hi Allan, do you have the lyrics? A translation? Can you tell me where I can find them? I don't speak japanese, but that doesn't matter ... I'm wondering for example if this song could be interpreted as an attack on the kawaii culture, too, or on the fact that girls/young women are pressed into that cutesy cutie role, although they are awesome musicians like Hanabie's members; the video could support such an interpretation, I assume. What's your opinion on that issue?

@@fightrashovar4578 No, the girls from Hanabie are not critical of Kawaii culture, it's clear that they like it and feel comfortable with it.
Hanabie's songs are musically complex, layered and juxtaposed with many disparate musical elements.
As for the lyrics, they are very direct and have no hidden meanings. For example, of the songs that have MVs, two are about relationships (Envy and Reiwa matching Sedai), this one about liking sweets, and one about things girls do for fun (L.C.G).

    • @fightrashovar4578

@@takeshibrb7495 Thank you, Takeshi, for helping me. It seems that there's no way to hedge around: I've got to learn japanese! I had that idea of kind of a hidden message in the song exactly because of the complexity of Hanabie's music; they are obviously quite smart. I believe them girls being capable very much of developing their own stance and conveying it to the audience. I've great respect for that band indeed! So I came to that (then in my view) possible interpretation. Not to forget the name of the album which possibly pushed me into that direction, too.

@@allanmoger1838 Hi Allen, I see! So the idea that arose in my head seems to be a blatant over-interpretation. LOL. Thanx a lot for providing the text! There are still some questions left open, e.g. "Ebara, not Kobara", but don't mind, it's not crucial for the comprehension, I guess.
