Yeah Im going to the Melbourne Dec 1 concert. Cant wait to see (Hanabi-eh) (the E is pronounced "eh") again. They have just had their sold out tour of Europe and just about finished a successful tour of the US. They head to Mexico next then Japan and NZ opening for Limp Biscuit then Good Things. HANABIE are freaking awesome live. The Nemophila/Hanabie concert I saw was one of the best Ive seen. They will get a lot of new fans here. Hanabie have a new drummer called Chika. When I saw Hanabie play in Nagoya Japan she was awesome. Anyway enjoy Hanabie at Good Things. They'll blow everyone away. Harajukucore for life.🤘😂🤘

Is it really pronounced with and eh? I thought it was with an eh but when I saw them live the other day it sounded like Yukina was saying it with and e.

hanabie are so insanely good, especially their live shows. very impressive, how they handle their current world tour. great reaction.
I want to recommend two japanese female bands, you shouldn´t miss:
gacharic spin A-LALA (official live video) good music and fantastic live shows too
east of eden - evolve new band /project, kinda supergroup. first single came out in august). the song has the potential to become song of the year.

I’ll make a suggestion for a reaction: South Korean Electronicore group Synsnake. I’d suggest their song Manneristic as a first listen.

This song features their former drummer Sae, who left earlier this year. They have a new drummer, Chika, who is just as good, and had only played J-pop prior to joining Hanabie! You can see Chika in their two most recent videos "Tousou (Run away)" and "Be the Gal: Summer Ver."

Fellow Aussie here. You mentioned LOVEBITES, but you've never reacted to them (as far as I can tell). You really should. In terms of collective musical talent, they are probably in the top 3 metal bands on the planet. Not that metal musicians need to be elite to play good music of course. Hanabie (who I absolutely love) for example are awesome at what they do, but they are a level or two below LOVEBITES in terms of musicianship.
Anyway, here's a suggested recent live performance from LOVEBITES playing one of their thrashier songs should you choose to check them out.
    th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LOVEBITES
Fun fact: This video shows the first time their new bassist plays with them on stage, and as you'll see, she's pretty happy about it.

Japanese bands you might wanna check out:
    Here's your "assignment":
Destrose (Formed in 2005 as Destroya...changed their name to Destrose in 2007 and started the all-female metal bands boom in Japan! Disbanded in 2015. You'll see "Destrose" a lot in this list!)
Aldious (The veterans of the bunch, formed in 2008. Can play anything from pop-rock to full-on thrash metal!)
Fate Gear (Formed in 2015 by Destrose founding member Mina)
Lovebites (Formed by ex-Destrose members Rosana Miho & drummer Haruna in 2016)
Nemophila (Super group formed by ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Mary's Blood/Destrose guitarist Saki, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Soramimi drummer Tamu and ex-Holderlings bassist Haraguchi-san)
Hagane (Formed in 2019 featuring two of the youngest gunslingers around, Sakura & Mayto)
Bridear (Another veteran group, formed in 2011. Already toured Europe 6 times! BTW, like Iron Maiden, they have a monster mascot named The Bride! Check out their song "Bloody Bride - Live"!)
Hanabie (I'm not gonna say anything about this group other than DROP WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING AND GO CHECK THEM OUT RIGHT NOW, especially the song "We Love Sweets"!)
D_Drive (Instrumental hard rock/heavy metal. Everyone in this band is a virtuoso.)
Asterism (Read "D_Drive". Their guitarist, Hal-ca, is only 21 yo! The band have been together since she was 12-13!)
Ark Royal (Young heavy metal/thrash metal band formed 4 years ago. Picking up fans by the minute!)
Unlucky Morpheus (Another veteran group. Should've been headlining European festivals a long time ago! Best female vocalist in Japan, Fuki.)
Galneryus (Power metal freaks! Think Dragonforce but better.)
Mardelas (Band formed by former Destrose vocalist Marina Hebiishi - monster pipes!)
Band-Maid (Best rock band in the world right now IMO!)
Octaviagrace (Featuring another ex-Destrose guitarist named Hanako...as good as Yngwie but prettier!)
    Trident (young all-female power trio; Japan's "hold-my-beer" to Canada's Rush/Triumph!)
Gone but not forgotten (no longer active):
    X-Japan (THE Japanese metal band!)
Mary's Blood (formed in 2009, a year after Destrose initial split by former members.)
Telecide (This band had a lot of potential. Drummer Natsumi is now in Bridear. Just released a live video of her drum solo in tribute to legendary drummer Cozy Powell.)
Doll$Boxx (A collaboration between members of the pop-rock band Gacharic Spin [check them out also!] and Lightbringer/Unlucky Morpheus vocalist Fuki.)
Disqualia (formed by ex-Destrose members after their second and final split)
    Lightbringer
    The Uncrowned
    Sabbat
    Cyntia
    Galhammer (All-female thrash/death/black metal band.)
The Classics (all of these bands were formed in the 80's and are still around kicking ass!):
Show-ya (all-female heavy metal band formed in 1981.)
Loudness (Most popular metal band out of Japan.)
    Ningen Isu (Think Black Sabbath-meets-Opeth.)
    Anthem
    44 Magnum
Sex Machineguns (Decided to go with "Machineguns" because they are heavier than the Sex Pistols...their words!)
    Other popular bands:
Hell Freezes Over (80's thrash metal...band formed in 2013)
United (another bad-ass thrash metal band)
    Galmet (all-female thrash metal band)
    Broken By The Scream
    Passcode
    Saiseiga

I don't think they were a Maximum the Hormone cover band. The way i heard Hanabie tell the story was that there were older kids at their school who introduced them to Maximum the Hormone. Even going back to highschool they had their own songs. I could be wrong but i think that story is a myth. I've seen videos of them in highschool but never any Maximum the Hormone covers.

They did start off playing MTH covers in high school. Yukina said they joined the music club at school because it already had a MTH cover band but when it came for them to play they decided to play their favorite MTH band covers as well as originals. Theres a good interview on YT from 2021 that has all this stuff in it.

    • @Sergof
      @Sergof 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

They've said again and again in interviews and livestreams that they started out covering MTH.
The earliest videos of them in high school are from 2017, 2 years after the band was formed. At that time they only had a handfull of original songs. The first song Matsuri ever wrote was Crash Over (later became Bukkowasu) in 2016.
      Here is a video of them covering MTH's "F" in 2018: th-cam.com/video/dIji_Sp2weM/w-d-xo.html

Nice reaction to the girls! I have one suggestion, though: please get back about 5 or 10 seconds after the pause cause it ruins the flow of the song if you continue straight to the pause point, especially when you want to show your partner the changes of the song. Thank you.
