discovering Hanabie is basically "the bonus" after discovering the trifecta: Lovebites, Nemophila and Band-Maid (yeah, all-female J-metal bands)..and from there...down the rabbit hole of other all-female J-metal bands.
Hanabie never misses. Not a single song from them is less than awesome.
Exactly: never heard a single weak track from them.

They have "strange" songs from a westerner point of view.
They even got me into Vocaloid from their covers of Deco27 and Ado. I love their cover of Animal by Deco27. That is a pretty good interpretation of Hatsune Miku.

Some info: Band name is Hanabie. Pronounced with 4 syllables (hah nah bee eh)
Band members: Yukina - Lyrics, growls and cleans.
Matsuri - Guitar/vocal and composer
Hettsu - Bass and vocals (and does fashions for the band.)
Sae - Drums and can also sing but hasn't yet although Matsuri said she wants to get her too. She joined in a few years ago. Before her there was a couple male drummers on their earlier stuff.
Here's another track called Reiwa Dating Apps Generation. They're railing against the emptiness of people just hooking up in the dating app culture.

Hanabie = Harajukucore = 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This is from my favorite album of 2021 (Girl’s Reform Manifest) and it is one of the more average songs on the album! The juxtaposition of Yukina (growls) and Matsuri (cleans) on “Want to TIE-UP” from their album is amazing but no MV although the audio is on TH-cam - for MVs you need L.C.G. (Lollipop Candy Girl) or Reiwa Dating Apps Generation. Their latest single NEET Game is also cool and back it time we have Envy and Time Out videos. They did an anime tie up - LOVE Ranbu as well - no MV again but brutally good. Enjoy Hanabie, they make me smile every day!
I saw them live in Shinjuku last month and they were amazing, singer Yukina was crowd surfing the whole place was rocking...You have so many Japanese bands to enjoy bands like -Trident; Nemophila; Jiluka; Little Lilith; Saiseiga and Unlucky Morpheus...and Alt Idol groups like Mad Jamie; OMNI666; Shingeki; LiliHoli and WagamamaRakia......I keep finding new groups every week, it is fantastic
Lucky. I'd love to see Hanabie I doubt they will ever make it to the US. I'll have to check out some of those. I love Greed Five Eggs I don't know if they are still around but they were part of that scene.
I like alt Idols. I haven't heard those but I love Babymetal and I like Broken by the Scream. Babymetal denies that they are alt Idols but they most definitely are.
Right now I'm too addicted to Vocaloid but when I get bored of Vocaloid I'll check those out.
This song might only be two and half minutes long, but it's got at least five minutes worth of music, and 4 different genres packed into it. Matsuri (Gt./Vo. - blue hair) is one of my favorite songwriters. And Yukina can rip the top of my head off and scream directly into my brain any time she wants. 🤯
Please, enjoy some more Hanabie. They are releasing a new single on January 9th, so now is a great time to get into their back catalog.
No one is ever prepared for Yukina's voice to punch them in the face for the first time.

Hanabie are great. Their first album is full of great tracks. Nemophila and Lovebites are the other amazing all lady Japanese metal bands. BandMaid are another popular group but in the hard rock genre. Nemophila Hanabie and Lovebites are my top 3 current bands.

I am deeply impressed by these all-female Japanese Metal bands like Lovebites, Nemophila and Hanabie. The sun is rising in the east. These heavy and growled sounds are like a punch in your gut. Excellence in every beat. You instantly get infected, if you are not deaf or dead yet. And their drummers turn into _beasts_ on their drum risers. I hope for more to come.

You enthusiastically mentioned her fashion style. This comes from the Tokyo district of Harajuku. Hanabie also call their style of music Harajukucore. If you want to see a little more of this, you should check out the video for L.C.G, this is arguably the song and video that best showcases Harajuku. And by the way, L.C.G is a creative masterpiece and has a very nice vocal part from guitarist Matsuri. 🤘❤🔥

I don’t know if this answers your question, but their style is considered, “Harajuku Core.” If you look into Harajuku fashions and general styles, and then mix it with metal & rap… that’s Harajuku Core.

I’ve said it in other posts: Nobody rocks like the Japanese and the all female bands are on top. There are plenty of other bands you need to check out too: Nemophila, Bridear, Gacharic Spin, Lovebites, Lonsome Blue, Hagane, Band Maid, The Devil’s Killing Merry Go Round, Broken By The Scream and many more. yeah, you finally made a reaction video from a genre other than kpop. I'm really impressed. By the way, after you reacted to this awesome mv of Hanabie, I want to give you a suggestion to react to this band. The band is called Voice of Baceprot, they are a trio of muslim women wearing hijab who play rock-heavy metal music. Currently on their TH-cam account they have released 4 MV's, including: "school revolution", "God allow me please to play music", "Not public property", and "PMS (Perempuan merdeka seutuhnya)" in English completely independent women. As additional information, the band has toured Europe twice and performed at Wacken open air (a grand event, the biggest metal music concert in the world).

This is what you get when Babymetal and Maximum the Hormone have a love child. They actually started in high school, playing MTH covers. Clearly one of THE new metal bands to watch. Most of their songs are quite pointed, concerning social issues like dating app abuse, drugs, human trafficking, cheating etc. “We Love Sweets” is about having an unhealthy relationship to sugar.
