This isn’t really any different to driving a normal car by a bunch of mailboxes. (Or am I just being dumb?)
I'm really into the idea of air taxis. My biggest worry (fear), however, has always been that despite the extraordinary safety claims of the taxis themselves, the navigation would be an insane problem. They would be crashing into each other as people just flew where ever they wanted to go. GPS? It might help if everyone used them but people that know where they're going, most likely wouldn't use a GPS and just take any "route" they felt like taking. Air Traffic Contol for air taxis? I highly doubt it.
Would it be so hard for companies to create a system to detect another taxi flying near you and can adjust the speed and distance to not crash in to each other?? If air taxi can be possible one day creating a solution for navigation would be the least bit of problem
I'm also worried about the noise it would create, imagine living near an Airport exept planes always take off and land and you can never get away from it. It would drive me mad.

All of witch might not have the bling of the Air taxi but are just so much better for the environment and our cities socially. Trams and Trains make FAR less noise at high speeds especially when electric, due to the smaller rolling resistance and electric busses are also quiet and effective. Where I live we have inductive charging pads at bus stops so range isn't an issue either. So while individual air taxi transport might be a nice and shiny "futuristic" idea, I don't know if it is really something that should be focused on when it comes to transportation technology.

@@minecraftstation6422 a moving bike is already self balancing, and it is exceptionally good, the only advantage I see from this is as a learning tool for new bikers, but there are already bicycles for that, so I don't actually see any advantage other than not having to put your foot down at the stop light. And most daily maneuvers on a bike involve intentionally shifting the balance of the bike, and if it got triggered at that time, it is much more counterproductive and dangerous than it is helping, and Honda knows that.

If it's gonna be implemented to perfection, heavy street traffic would be so minimized and transportation would be much faster even if let's say the max speed it could go would be 40kph because of unobstructed paths. Just think about a single problem like losing power 200ft above ground in perfect conditions. The folding machine is a really cool and convenient idea, but (lol) I've worked in retail: I think that my folding technique is still pretty good and is more adaptable, depending on how I need the clothes to be folded. Like; I put clothes in different places, drawers or on shelves, and the spaces vary. So, having a machine that, presumably only folds to that one style, makes it kind of only good for specific spaces imo 🤷♂️ I'd still make the investment though. I think it's also gonna be good for people who, like me, sell there thrifted clothes on places like depop, or just have a lot of it.
I’ve tried the Kat VR, and it very much feels like a prototype. There is a lot of potential in the concept but the execution could be so much better. Even at the lowest friction you can get by adjusting the shoes, it still feels like you’re pushing against sand in order to move around in-game

I disagree - that foldimate would be awesome - if you have children and get through a lot of clothes (we do 4 washing machine cycles per week) this would save so much time. Sure you can fold clothes whilst watching the tele or something, but fuck me it's dull as dishwater (though in my case it's the maid that does it) but regardless I think it's awesome! I'd have loved that in my bachelor days! The solar panels on my roof tilt with the sunshine, but I live in the Med so I get a LOT of sunshine. I think it could help optimise those that live in less sunny places.

@@pollumG the problem is, the phobia from it falling itself will make it indeed fall when you start accelerating, and I can see that it can actually get rid of many accidents with normal bikes that lead to the rider bring really injured or sometime dead
@@minecraftstation6422 a moving bike is already self balancing, and it is exceptionally good, the only advantage I see from this is as a learning tool for new bikers, but there are already bicycles for that, so I don't actually see any advantage other than not having to put your foot down at the stop light.
And most daily maneuvers on a bike involve intentionally shifting the balance of the bike, and if it got triggered at that time, it is much more counterproductive and dangerous than it is helping, and Honda knows that.

The folding machine is a really cool and convenient idea, but (lol) I've worked in retail: I think that my folding technique is still pretty good and is more adaptable, depending on how I need the clothes to be folded. Like; I put clothes in different places, drawers or on shelves, and the spaces vary. So, having a machine that, presumably only folds to that one style, makes it kind of only good for specific spaces imo 🤷♂️ I'd still make the investment though. I think it's also gonna be good for people who, like me, sell there thrifted clothes on places like depop, or just have a lot of it.

I’ve tried the Kat VR, and it very much feels like a prototype. There is a lot of potential in the concept but the execution could be so much better. Even at the lowest friction you can get by adjusting the shoes, it still feels like you’re pushing against sand in order to move around in-game

I disagree - that foldimate would be awesome - if you have children and get through a lot of clothes (we do 4 washing machine cycles per week) this would save so much time. Sure you can fold clothes whilst watching the tele or something, but fuck me it's dull as dishwater (though in my case it's the maid that does it) but regardless I think it's awesome! I'd have loved that in my bachelor days!
The solar panels on my roof tilt with the sunshine, but I live in the Med so I get a LOT of sunshine. I think it could help optimise those that live in less sunny places.
