Covid Inquiry: Martin Reynolds used ‘disappearing’ messages with Boris Johnson on WhatsApp

- The Covid Inquiry has heard how the most senior officials in the Government were driven to the "end of their tether" by Boris Johnson's "flip flopping" over whether to introduce a covid lockdown.

Today's main witness was Mr Johnson's Principal Private Secretary Martin Reynolds. He was taken to task for setting messages to delete in a crucial Downing Street whatsapp group just weeks before the inquiry was first announced.

As a British person who lost my father to Boris Johnson’s government the man disgusts me. When I hear him talk I feel physically ill. He should be in prison with the rest of the murderers. GB news paying him to continue to taunt his victims is horrendously offensive and all tories need to go and never been seen again after all they’ve done. No shame at all. I pray that one day Johnson and all his horrid cronies get everything they deserve.

My mother had to die alone, while self serving prigs partied and had a good laugh at the rest of the country in lockdown. The shredding of the WhatsApp evidence was clearly undertaken to hide culpability.

I am not convinced by the explanation for the deletion of WhatsApp messages and would, if the Inquiry, put a negative interpretation on the person's explanation.
This mess was obvious to all the public, what we need know is some manslaughter charges to be brought.

I live in France and we know that the EU saved hundreds of thousands of UK lives by forcing Boris to abandon his "cattle immunity" approach at the start. Immunity is gradually built up in a population but if that population is exposed to a virus too early on before immunity is reached and without vaccination, then the results are catastrophic.
