@@tankpoe2471 Yeah I did get footage for a video on it, but encountered a game breaking bug near the end of the game, so canned it. But I may revisit it in the near future
Troy Baker really gives everything when he’s playing a character because Higgs is honestly one of my favorite characters in this game and that’s partly due to the amazing performance that Troy gave all through out plus his character design is fucking badass
Higgs is such a cool and interesting villain. I love the crazy lore in this game. Kojima never fails to create weird and fascinating characters.

@@visitante-pc5zc It's only boring if you expect action, it's basically a puzzle game where the environment itself is the puzzle.
Higgs is actually a really compelling villain in the world of Death Stranding. I love how every character is written in it.
As I get older I realize just how terribly cruel the punishment Fragile experienced really is. I can't imagine the psychological dissonance Fragile would experience due to her body being transformed into such a state. I think it's actually one of the most effective stories of body horror around and that Cronenburg would be very impressed.
In the trailer for the second game it looks like she’s been cured somehow.
Could you explain it i saw the scene where she has to walk through rain but does the rain do that to her?

I thought that Higg’s DOOM powers came from the Amelie doll. It’s the connection he has to her beach.

@@GamingHarryYT much love, Harry. Still, one of the great details that didn’t occur to me was the fact that his mask was made from Chiralium, which exasperated his psychological DOOMs symptoms.
There's some text about his life in a shelter, he eventually kills his dad and feels the bt coming, sensed it. It shows he got dooms there, also said that it was fading away after, but he knew how to get it back... to kill people. It shows he did have some measure of doom abilities before meeting amelie, right. She just expanded his powers basically.

Everything about Higgs was buckwild in an already insane story. I love it!
There's actually a bit of Japanese folklore in Higg's methods as well: In Shinto there is the Onmyoji, a person who was able to control the spirits of people by various means. One of best ways was by the use of gold. And in order to control those spirits they often had to do some pretty heinous stuff

in all honesty, Higgs is likely the most mysterious character still... while everybody else got their backstory chapter, he didn't; only a few dialogues from amelie and fragile at best. Have high hopes for him to get his true spotlight in DS 2, especially cuz he's fucking troy baker. Some people say he's "a cliche" villain and/or "underdeveloped", but, after the ending, it becomes pretty clear to me that this was just some sort of prologue arc to his character, to give him actual motivation to get his revenge against amelie (who straight up used and discarded him like a peon just to get to sam) and possibly sam/bridges too

if we get another death stranding i do hope dooms abit more developed with our own ability to see BT's depending on our birthdate as i'd love to try to see BT's without a BB if my birthdate allows it and we also get another interresting story to play through as a delivery guy still as i love that aspect of gameplay as i am tired of just go through this kill people and find said item or destroy said item or kill/capture enemy to get intel from them and i do love we're forced not to kill anyone but it could be frustating but it's a breathe of fresh air
Oh that would be dope according to the game my birthdate/sign says i have a higher chance of DOOMS
for me it told me something alike to those who is bron under cancer pisces cetus delphinus and gigas has a higher level of dooms maybe my doom level wouldn't be as high as yours and i do hope also the next death stranding has 4 to 6 player CO-OP
and if you have a high level of dooms enough to see them you can use a bola gun to mark them for me so i can shoot them down while others carry cargo

@@Sharticus94 i bet it would be fun and i am sure to carry a few anti-BT rifles with me and my own blood bags to end the BTs as the higher leveled dooms marks the BTs for the rest of us who carry the cargo and weaponry against them
it would be a very effecti team to carry out orders and i am sure with that team setup we wouldn't need a BB
Seriously one of the most out of the world stories I have ever seen and one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played. You'd think just at first glance delivering packages is boring but... There's something about it that sucks you in and makes you keep saying "just 1 more delivery.

Devided my Missions in, big Truck loads and zip lining. Building a fun infrastructure Like that was big fun.

A year late, but love your Death Stranding videos. Don't think I've had a game impact me more - even though most of its impact was actually in the broader life questions it forces the player to ask. Perfect video.

Honestly, this is my favorite game I've ever played, and I'll never forget it.
Absolutely love this video and game. Im currently 50hrs in on my second playthrough in chapter 9 been enjoying it alot more with the online part and Ziplineing over snowy mountains and flying on highways it's an amazing experience
I built a bunch of zip lines on PC. Haven't played the game in a while, but far as I know, it's still being used

Higgs is like that one whiney kid on the minecraft server that got free admin powers and bans people randomly for fun.
as you said that Amelie had given him power I don't think she is much conflicted, what does she want?
she is just using Higgs to do what she wanted. She doesn't want her hands to get dirty, she even takes her powers back when he loses. to her, Higgs is just a piece of whatever game she was playing. Higgs's troubled nature makes him an easy target for Amelie probably. About fragile, I think she still got the bad end, pretty face but the old body. I think it tells the story of how some people can advantage of your insecurities ( i think Higgs wanted something of names like a hero or something like that) and make you do their bad deeds portraying you as an evil villain on their behalf. that's all I seem to understand...
I hope we get a Death Stranding sequel that explores more about DOOMs. Maybe give us the opportunity to play as a person with a high level of DOOMs. Or one that can attain such a level over the duration of the game

about " extinction" I was like " bro look around you this place looks like an apocalyptic nightmare that's already faced 3 extinctions. And you want to f*** it up even more. "???
The rule about extinctions is that there is always new life that forms afterwards. The earth has faced many extinctions yes but higgs logic was flawed
And fragile was innocent and had nothing to do with his problems. She even helped him. Truly something mentally " wrong" there 🧐😟

This character is extremely under developed, one dimensional and halfbaked.
His primary function was to look intimidating and be a quote on quote a " cool villain "
I have a feeling they are saving a lot of stuff from him for the sequel considering he’s gonna be the main villain again

I had no clue there was a cutscene for the bomb delivery. I just threw it in the tar cause I wanted to fail the mission and see what would happen. lol

You refer to the story of Amilies capture as it was described in the game, but to my understanding that was a hoax, there was never an Amily in the real world, but you don't comment on that after describing the events of Higgs group meeting Amelie and killing everyone but her.... I am confused.

So in fact Higgs might have a very low dooms level but Amalie let him use her powers. The information is a big conflicting as in your other video you mention that the EE is not Amalie but it seems that Amalie has the ability to control BTs like The EE would, her not wanting to end the world and loaning her power to someone with far less compassion and sees themselves as a god is a good point
Amalie and Bridget ARE the EE. They are both part of it... it isn't a seperate entity.

I dislike Amelie because she was screwed which is sad but then she decided to use literally everyone so she won’t have to carry her burden alone or at all. Sam as a loving family member, people as ones looking for a hope, Higgs, a young slightly traumatized man (at that time) who wanted to survive and perhaps thrive. A selfish lady, heck her president body was using babies so what could a person expect. So when I finished the game for the first time, I grew to dislike her a lot. Tbh, I shot her in the end, but she didn’t die... darn 🤣
One thing that Im curious about, why does Sams wife in that pic look like Fragile?

Is this directors cut content?
It's a mission in the ruined factory. I don't think the mission is exclusive to the DC, as it contains some fairly important backstory. Could be wrong though. You need to go to the Distribution Centre West of Capital Knot and accept a specific order to trigger the mission.
and about faking the black tar and things i think he just wanted to get accepted to this new club like maybe.

If Higgs' BB wasn't real, then what was his Odradek responding to? Sam's dek was directly linked to Lou so I don't think Higgs' was linked directly to his person, and a fake BB wouldn't be able to respond because it's a doll.
I’m not sure. To be honest, that’s the one thing in this game I couldn’t really fully understand. Higgs’ BB and how it worked, scrambled my brain slightly.

I'm always put off by Kojima stuff. It always starts with a really cool and badass idea but it's ruined halfway by stupid stuff.
Death stranding = So hum, yeah, some interference with the literal realm of the dead causes an apocalypse. Also, whale bosses, psychic babies and you're a high-tech packmule.
Haha saying that, it was exactly that kind of bats**t craziness that carried me through it. It hooked me in.
One thing the game doesn't explain is the underlining backstory as to why higgs is so fixated on likes lol. Tbh I think Sam just got wrapped up further with all of his mushroom likes lol. But seriously this game did a huge shot at social media and real life applications due to the social economic ecosystem forced by the time fall... Undermining the porters (hard workers) like always
