@@conorstewart2214 The physics is the same: F = -kx (Hooke's law). The rubber/plastic compresses on impact, and experiences a restoring force in the opposite direction. This has the effect of slowing down the phone's deceleration on impact, theoretically resulting in less damage. Phone cases are only a few millimeters thick, so there's not much material to absorb the impact like a full fledged spring would.
How about if your phone had a heat sensor or some way to detect when it's in your hand, and if it comes out of your hand, the sensor activates a collapsible shield that closes when it's not in your hand, kind of like the M&M's melt in your mouth and not your hand effect. The phone is already programmed to detect your fingers touching the screen. Maybe you could make use of some of those features?
20:23 The phone sounds so sad when he drops it. I have been _so deoressed_ for weeks. It's been kind of a nightmare. Thanks for giving me the best laugh I have had in a while. I really needed it. The fact that William does not notice that was Arin Hanson from Game Grumps who made the belt pole suggestion, who he has worked with twice, is my favorite part of this video.
Glad to see you back, William! Awesome video to return with, and your comedic timing in this one feels PERFECT. The cartoonish balloon deflation and subsequent failure to deploy with the parachute afterwards killed me. Can't wait to see more from you again Will!
I thought someone would suggest using a phone case that has the edges around the screen, extend farther than the screen so that when it lies screen side down on a flat surface, the screen can’t touch the surface.

14:40 to be fair if it only has to fly for 1 second to stabilize and land it doesn'T have to be nearly as efficient as camera drones and can use insanely high pwoered, high rpm rotors and produce an insnaely high downwash speed to get more lift per area than regular drones
So, in summary: in an effort to build a device to save his phone, William built these things: - A rocket to slam your phone into everything in the room, including you. - A rocket that suplexes your phone - A very bad yo-yo - Gluing springs to your phone - Gluing balls to your phone (and then selling the balls at a loss) - A car that catapults a phone into the ceiling - A landmine that you hold next to your head - A phone with propellers to assault your fingers - The world's worst battery electric vehicle - A pneumatic machine that hits you in the groin very hard - A pneumatic machine that frightens your wife - A pneumatic dress that hits you in the groin very hard - A machine to waste helium gas at an astounding rate - The same machine, upgraded to fill a single balloon instead of no balloons - An egg drop that didn't work - The same egg drop, but it works this time! 50% is a pass. - Oops, never mind, it failed again. 33% is not a pass. - A jeans pocket. So remember: If you enjoyed the time you wasted, you didn't waste it at all.

This video was a masterpiece. The yoyo smashing into the plate 50 times made me die laughing!
Airbag phone was already hilarious enough, but then “Can you help me pick out a dress” had me in STITCHES
Had one of the worst weeks, this has not only made me happy but inspired me to try and do that for others. Thank you Williammmmm
@Talon Brown
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time... the air pressure dress deployment system was one of the funniest things I've ever watched!!!
20:23 The phone sounds so sad when he drops it.
I have been _so deoressed_ for weeks. It's been kind of a nightmare. Thanks for giving me the best laugh I have had in a while. I really needed it. I was in stitches when the sticks were going up and down on the bed. Thanks, man. I really needed a good laugh.
Both of those experiments had me rolling with laughter 🤣🤣🤣
Lol that one sound sums up the entire video
I currently have a cold and I nearly died from cough-laughing so hard during the whole “phone catcher that is actually a dress” segment. This is S tier content for sure!
👆👆Congratulations you have been selected among my shortlisted winners 🎁🤩🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🤩
It's 2am and my family had to come check up on me because I was choking from laughter. That snapping sound!
The fact that William does not notice that was Arin Hanson from Game Grumps who made the belt pole suggestion, who he has worked with twice, is my favorite part of this video.
No wonder i was laughing so hard. Im sure arin didnt anticipate the belt being better at slapping nuts than catching phones.
my favorite part is how that was a joke
My favorite part is the fact that it was the entire basis of the joke.
My favorite part is how u missed the blatant satire
"I am an engineer that used to work at NASA" the pic is hilarious lmaoooooo
The smash-cut from William's invention failing in the backdround to "Alright boys, which dress do we want" killed me 16:26
Super fun video!
👆👆Congratulations you have been selected among my shortlisted winners 🎁🤩🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🤩
Glad to see you back, William! Awesome video to return with, and your comedic timing in this one feels PERFECT.
The cartoonish balloon deflation and subsequent failure to deploy with the parachute afterwards killed me.
Can't wait to see more from you again Will!
William has the most entertaining and subtle advertisements in his videos. I don't even care to skip them 💯
I couldn't even tell it was sponsored! Its so awesome to see how much he cares about protecting his phone ❤
I thought someone would suggest using a phone case that has the edges around the screen, extend farther than the screen so that when it lies screen side down on a flat surface, the screen can’t touch the surface.
I'm halfway through the video and I'm laughing so hard. From the g spot, to the bottom of the lake, to William spitting on the airbags 💀💀

This vid was a freaking blast 😂
I watched this at 2 am… you gotta make more vids idc what you do. I loved this Sir Willsalot! Follow up on the top 3 ideas that worked, you pick them. Thanks 😂😂🤷♂️
One of the funniest videos I've seen from his channel for sure.
I was fully prepared for this to turn into a "My house burned down" video watching you launch that rocket into your insulation
Can't happen twice
also surprised that the airbag stuff didn’t lead to a hospital trip.
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
“Very intense skid marks on the floor, just like my old family dog 3:26” left me dying 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
This is legitimately the funniest video I've ever seen on youtube, and I cant tell if it was intentional or just happened to work out that way.
he is good at this
Same mate I was howling when he threw the phone in the park and it didn’t deploy 😂
Angry armadillo wonders if TH-cam entertainer intended on making an entertaining video
@@arceyominyin shart jar
Dude was just doing his daily vlog and all this shit happened
The cameraman snort at 22:40 just killed me.
We didn’t stop laughing for 25 minutes straight. My cousin had to take a Tylenol because he was getting a headache from laughing so hard 😂 and my sides hurt.
Wish I could have such a simple sense of humor
14:40
to be fair if it only has to fly for 1 second to stabilize and land it doesn'T have to be nearly as efficient as camera drones and can use insanely high pwoered, high rpm rotors and produce an insnaely high downwash speed to get more lift per area than regular drones
The fact that the rocket phone actually came back to him on the first try is amazing.
20:35 William Osman + Helium = Michael Reeves
FRED
Helium Osman
So, in summary: in an effort to build a device to save his phone, William built these things:
- A rocket to slam your phone into everything in the room, including you.
- A rocket that suplexes your phone
- A very bad yo-yo
- Gluing springs to your phone
- Gluing balls to your phone (and then selling the balls at a loss)
- A car that catapults a phone into the ceiling
- A landmine that you hold next to your head
- A phone with propellers to assault your fingers
- The world's worst battery electric vehicle
- A pneumatic machine that hits you in the groin very hard
- A pneumatic machine that frightens your wife
- A pneumatic dress that hits you in the groin very hard
- A machine to waste helium gas at an astounding rate
- The same machine, upgraded to fill a single balloon instead of no balloons
- An egg drop that didn't work
- The same egg drop, but it works this time! 50% is a pass.
- Oops, never mind, it failed again. 33% is not a pass.
- A jeans pocket.
So remember: If you enjoyed the time you wasted, you didn't waste it at all.
this comment made me laugh so hard through the whole video
This comment is comedy gold XD
Lmao. this comment needs more likes
50% is a pass? I'm used to >70% is passing
And everything in 25 minutes
How is this dude such a comedy genius. I don't know how he makes up some of these jokes.
I get PTSD everytime i smell that airbag smell. This man is going to have that smell in his house forever. Also, thank you for continuing to make content through your anxiety and the bullying William.
My thoughts and prayers go out to caretaker! She must be so terrified all the time with rockets going off in her house.
Wow, that is the first time in a while i have been able to just laugh about something while sitting all on my own, this video was absolutely hilarious will, thanks for that.
I was about to say the same thing! This was awesome
.. but i don't get the "sitting all on my own" thing 🤔
pls pls pls pls pls pls pls
i need the path of the shock sensorthanksdoc🙏🙏🙏 i need it for a project

the google pixel 7 pro's magic eraser function worked about as well as the airbag
I missed your solo content so much. You are a fantastic entertainer, thanks for bringing us so much joy, man.
I appreciate how long these skits took to film. You're a trooper!
