- The first 8 minutes of this video are unedited to show how easy the Kaoko Cruise Control is to install on the Honda Silverwing. The Kaoko Cruise Control is in fact very easy to install and use.
The rest of the video is the first run with the cruise control in place. You see plenty of cruise control installation videos, but few seem to want to show them in use. So I did.
Well done. I use the "Breakaway Throttle Lock" It works very well.

I saw the the Breakaway unit at Free Ride Powersports in Ann Arbor a while back. They wanted almost $500, but that included installation. They wouldn't give me a price on the throttle lock alone.
I may have mentioned that it would be an extremely cold day in hell before I let the mechanic trainees touch my bike. They still wouldn't give me a price for the lock alone.
At any rate, the Kaoko should help on the way to STO this year. The cramp buster just wasn't doing the job well enough, and I was tired of losing rubber bands.
Just ordered me one of these, gotta do it I can't ride more than an hour and my hand bothers me a lot. This will help me a lot

Yes, Sir, it will help a lot. It's amazing how much longer you can ride with one of these. Of course, you still have to be hyper vigilant when it's engaged, but that's really only S.O.P..
Good demo. Where did you buy it. Thanks.
I got it from Twisted Throttle. If remember, it was on back order for two months before it came in.
With what's going on today, who knows how long you would have to wait to receive one.
nice I'm gonna give it a try on my s wing to..thx for the review
I think you will like the cruise control if you do a lot of highway and interstate riding. Thanks for watching.
are they any video on how to re place the headlight bulb
Has Honda discontinued the Silverwing? I was looking at it when I was thinking about my Burgman 400. Nice review. Seems easy enough, as long as the end weight comes out easy like yours did.

Yeah Honda has discontinued the Silverwing, at least here in the U.S.. Now their top scooter is the Forza. I was hoping they would redesign the bike, but I guess that's not going to happen.
Yeah, installation is super easy. With the Kaoko, the insert doesn't need to be removed. Only the end weight is replaced.
I was worried about the thread lock that I put on years ago, but that problem never arose.
Thanks for watching.
I think you will enjoy it on trips.

I certainly hope so.
Good stuff often wondered about them :)
So far it's better than the old rubber band trick of holding the throttle open.
Thanks for watching.
nice u should make a video on how to change the handlebar grips
+Ramiro Valdez
I may do that. Those grips are getting old.
+The Lenawee Trekker I jst got a 03 sliverwing 600 with 43 thousand miles for 2 grand
+Ramiro Valdez
Cool, that's a great deal. Did she need any work?
+The Lenawee Trekker nope but it did have a custom shield on it with air vent on other then that she's drives smooth
+The Lenawee Trekker do u have a fb ?
are thier any websites that I can use Incase I get into trouble I been looking for the manual but can't fine any

Sorry about the delay in answering, but it's been utter madness with the heat.
The Silverwing 600 site has a lot of folks that pitch in to help one another, and so does the Yahoo Group Silverwing Owners. I'm not a big fan of forums these days because more and more folks seem to want to argue stupid points or take their bike to dealerships to replace valve stem caps.
The best bet is to get a factory shop manual and do the work on the bike yourself. EBay usually has used shop manuals listed for pennys on the dollar.
If you want to buy a new Silverwing shop manual, go to Helm Incorporated's web site:
www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r=
The manuals from Helm ARE officially licensed by Honda, and no one elses greasy finger prints are covering key information.
Hope that helps.
