    I bought one and installed it just over a week ago. I didn’t have any trouble with the instructions. Installed it in about 15 minutes. Nice quality of materials in the system and the one I have works exactly as advertised. Just adding a little friction so you don’t need to grip so hard to hold the throttle makes things much better. Out on the open road you can tighten it up and cruise all day with only an occasional throttle adjustment needed. My MT09 has enough torque it holds a study speed until it gets into serious hilly terrain. I guess a bike with less power would require more adjustments once it got out of level terrain.
    Knowing what it costs these days to cast and machine steel parts, then put a decent finish on it the price is fairly reasonable. I would definitely buy it again.

    140 bucks for such a simple piece though. That’s wild. I was expecting 20-40 bucks

    The accelerator of my 100 cc bike was jammed, then it used to get stuck like this, at that time I did not know this ninja technique would be known as cruise control 😁😅

    Thanks for admitting candidly to your mistakes,the fact is the instructions are poorly wrttien. It should clearly specify to unlock (clock wise rotation and adjust so that friction ring is closed to grip. Make sure you hold weight while turning the screw to insure position rrmins until it is tightened, other wise the K never works. your explanation helped me fix mine. Thanks

    This bike has aftermarket Rizoma handlebars with ends threaded with M16 thread to take stock Yamaha bar ends. Kaoko make a version for Rizoma barends specifically. Also, cant move controls like that on stock bar, there are pins holding them in place. Someone obviously filed them off before fitting new handlebars.

    • @FocusedGarage

    Since its a bit awkward to set up once cruising down the highway could not one add tension while stopped and then roll the throttle like usual to say 70 mph and because there is tension on it, it will stay at 70?

    • @FocusedGarage
      @FocusedGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When needing to make an emergency maneuver all I need to do is pull in the clutch or roll the throttle forwards. Short of installing an electronic cruise control, there is no way around this.

      It only puts enough pressure to hold the throttle in place. You can twist the throttle to off position when you want to.

    Its cool intil you gotta slam on the brakes, cus you ain't gotta be quick enough to dis engage the lock, by the time you done doing all that twisting its gonna be to late, that why I got the brake away cruise control throttle lock cus it automatically unlock when you hit that brake lever, safety is real ride safe not stupid, deuces✌,

    • @FocusedGarage
      @FocusedGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you slam on the brakes by instinct you should be grabbing the clutch too which would cut power to the rear wheel. Also I wouldn't engage this thing at any significant amount of throttle. I understood the risk and used it in ways where I felt in control.

    Looks good & simple to put on. I'm intrigued, what was it like to use & run with? Was it as good as you expected/hoped? Chilli, UK (with a vested interest)

    • @FocusedGarage
      @FocusedGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is pretty simple to use. I did find it easier to activate using two hands, which kind of can make it cumbersome. However it does serve its purpose very well.

    • @FocusedGarage
      @FocusedGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to offend. It is a throttle lock. Different from a cruise control but serves a similar purpose. The video covers the differences. This is not as safe as a cruise control, correct.

    • @seanoleary1979
      @seanoleary1979 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It locks NOTHING. It adds a bit of resistance to the throttle holding it open wich is easy to overcome. You need to lay down with your mommy and have some warm milk.
