    www.revzilla.co...
    Wrist fatigue is so 1999. It is the 21st Century now, we need cruise control! That is where the Kaoko Throttle Lock comes into play. Each throttle lock is comprised of a simple, easy-to-use, mechanism that attaches to your handlebars and allows you to maintain speed without constant exertion to the throttle itself. *Note: Cruise control is NOT auto-pilot, so don’t go all Ron Burgundy and forget to steer safely!

    I’ve been using one for a couple of years and 10’s of thousands of miles and I’ve found it’s more throttle resistance than throttle lock. I can adjust it to that “sweet spot” and it adds just enough tension to be able to rest my hand on the throttle like I can on the left grip. This greatly reduces fatigue from holding the throttle for hours on end and with just slight pressure I can adjust for up and down grades. It does lock well also, but the above method works best for me.

    Go Cruise Motorcycle Throttle Control... $20. Simple, effective, cheap, and universal. I have had one on my DR650 for the past 4 years. No complaints.

    I put a Kaoko on my 2020 CB500X with BarkBuster hand guards. On the first day of a 5000 mile trip to the west coast I could not get it to lock consistently. With the constant tightening and untightening whenever you have to speed up or slow down (like going through small towns), eventually the screw that holds it all together unscrewed itself and fell off somewhere on the road. I ended up with a very expensive paper weight. Replaced it with a simple clamp lock which worked fine the rest of the trip. I don't recommend this product.

    The one for my Honda CBR500R came with a nasty sticky cheap black paint. I had to wipe it off before being able to get it to work. Took over an hour to install having to clean up that mess first. For the price couldn't they powder coat it or something?

    I just bought it for the FZ 07. Needed it for the hard engine breaking. Cant let your hand off the throttle when your hand gets tied. So this will help much for those who ride a long time on your bikes.

      ECU flash can help with hard engine braking (that is an emission control problem to reduce unburned fuel as decelerate - but it messes up smooth corner entry)

    I bought one for my 2001 R1150GS BMW. Installation was a breeze. But my kit did not come with the plastic thrust washer which is CRITICAL for the BMW. It's not working like in the video. So I'm a bit disappointed with this product. For the price I would think a .02 cent plastic washer should have been included...

    i have an Suzuki SV650 2019 yosimure edition with standart OEM handlebar. But i got the mirros: "Rizoma Lunar Bar End Mirror" witch comes with a specific bar-end.
    How can i mount my Kaoko AND my mirros?
    The mount/clam dosnt fit the Kaoko's round-bar-end "nut"
    What to do?
    The Kaoko is for my motorcycle model.

    • @RazorSPoint
      @RazorSPoint 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but it is still a niche product. That means they propably produce it, when somebody orders it and they don't make so much prefabricated pieces. If this get's more mainstream, it would get cheaper. But I knew this kind of thing already 5 years ago. And still it's not cheaper ;)

    Hi. Does this automatically reset every time you close your throttle or if you find the sweet spot can you just leave it alone and it will hold the throttle but still be easy to close throttle but when opening the throttle it will have the same resistance?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't reset it totally, so you can generally find the sweet spot to set the throttle at any position you want. The more you close the throttle, though, the more likely the screw is to loosen a little bit. So every so often, you may need to do a quick twist of the throttle lock to increase the pressure a bit. -DrewZilla

    Hi, I just bought a Honda vfr800f 2018, is there a 2017-2018 throttle lock for this bike, or just order the old kaoko? Thanks

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This should be the correct option, though keep in mind that Honda only offered the VFR here up to the 2015 model year. I don't think it has been changed, though. -DrewZilla

    Are you even a real biker if your mod is only a 1 on the Beard Scale Difficulty ®meter? I suppose somebody thought that was pretty clever? Probably the same guy that thought that "gnarled" was a good word to describe a toothed wheel? Is it made out of rough old tree bark or something? C'mon guys. WOW!!! Maybe consider 20% of the market and lose the degree of beard difficulty. That was seriously off-putting for those of us females who do our own maintenance. I’m a regular RevZilla customer, but for this particular product I think I’ll give someone else my business. Sorry Zilla, shave the beard and maybe be a little less misogynistic.

      Women grow beards too. Not only that, men get pregnant now as well. In fact, my grandfather is a 14 year old Chinese girl and his beard is incredible. You should try to be less ageist, misandrist, genderphobic, transphobic and hirsute phobic. Science is truly amazing.
