Thanks for doing a great job! My best friend is a paramedic in the UK and has told me some pretty horrific stories. He has also suffered PTSD from some of the jobs he has attended over the years. Everyone thinks that paramedics can switch off and treat a patient as a number or not form a connection with them. Not true, there will always be cases where you get sucked in.

This is inspiring man. I’ve been wanting to become a flight medic for years. I’m 19 and currently have been an EMT for 6 months. I plan on starting medic school once I hit a year as an EMT. Hopefully by the time I’m 24 I’ll reach that goal, maybe even 23. Thanks for the info dude

Which company do you work for? I’m a civilian paramedic and also a military medic, and want to enroll in Pitt’s EM program when I get out and I’d love to work as a flight medic while I’m in.

honestly everywhere we go meeting EMS that called us, they already have the patients stripped or they have shears I can use, just extra weight on my flight suit I don't need or want...same for the pen light
