We use a chest seal as well. Especially with an exit wound. Fancy ones have a one-way valve

It’s called a decompression needle.

My husband had his lung collapsed twice. Then they opened them up, gave them pleurisy so the long was here to the ribs. He hasn’t had problems cents.
