I love this journal Lisa, the size, the colours, the trims, everything!! Can’t wait to see you fill it up!! I love the fact that you’ve used up loads of bits of stash, those bits that float around the craft room forever 😊. Enjoy creating in it, & I’ll enjoy watching you 😁😁
I really like how big this journal is and we love Disney movies. Love the images in the book as well. The mickey beads on the spine is so cute. Can't wait to see you work in this journal. Great video as always!
Oh save the page with Mickey and the mailbox to go in your house hunting adventure journal! And the other page you can fussy cut the characters off the table of contents page to use.
The last journal I made was on 25th April. I made my first fabric journal and used my sewing machine for the first time since 2009. The journal has three signatures. (It is a5 size) No idea what I will use it for yet. Yesterday I got a new sheet set and there was cardboard in the sheets and I thought it would make a great, huge journal. I think I will try five or six signatures in it! I'm very excited!! (I haven't measured it but it's probably around 30cms tall as well) Love your journal. It's very cute!
I am loving this jornal so much! I am getting into junk journaling and am searching for tutorials on how to make one, still confused on the stitching but I can’t wait to give this a try!
Hi Lisa! I have been a subscriber for about a month now, so glad I found you! What an adorable book, looking forward to what memories you add to this. I just made two new journals one for every day family events and keeping and another for the garden. I have our October trip to Disney that I have to put together, I know -- get on it! Before you know the next one will be coming up this year! I have the things ready to go but keep pausing because I am not sure on the journal size and now you have me really thinking. I was going to originally do the Little Golden Book, I have the 50 anniversary one but again like you showed the size is small but so cute and I have so much stuff I do not want to cut down and I love to tuck things. I have changed one thing I do about my homemade journals and that is the stitching, I had watched a video quite some time ago about the hidden spine, I think that is what it's called. I use the method as to attach the signatures to a piece that is cut as you do to fit the spine and sew the signatures to it separately from the book. Now I take that and attach into the spine by gluing it down and securing it with tape, I have seen a lot of ways to secure but you do as you like. The reason I do this is the pages all lay flat as you work, when you open the book no need to clip down anything, it's just a dream to work in and I love the finished product no matter how bulky it becomes it's still allows you to do a page turn. I do however do the straight through the entire spine with the cord on some fun journals for a quick pop together. Take care so lovely to watch this as I enjoyed my morning coffee. Best to you.
I love your joyful voice! I've seen your journal with me's in this journal but I didn't know you had a how to make one! I love how you do it without perfection! Just my style! Do you ever sew in your journals?
Thanks so much. I always think my voice sounds so dull 😂 Glad you like it. I used to sew on my pages all the time when I scrapbooked but rarely do since journaling. But I love how it looks so much xx
This is lovely thank you for sharing. I just got a Big Little Golden Book and I was looking for inspiration on how to construct a journal because it is soooo big. I'll be following along with the progress on your book for more inspiration. .

Disneyland Magic Key holders and DVC members :)
