So thats what makes PH excel in team cooperation in work place. Ph has benefited the group work in bpo outsourcing. Right, the western is more individualistic. Its better to do group work as this drives people at work and the company to succeed more. Individualistic leads to competition, as team work leads to collaboration!

Moved to the states when I was in 3rd Grade, moved back to the Ph when I was in 6th, moved back to the US again when I was in 9th and I’m currently still here and I can definitely testify that everything said here was accurate. Teachers are a lot more understanding with their students even though American students are blatantly rude to them. They make it easier for many students to learn. In the Ph, teachers implement respect, discipline, responsibility and independency so they are a lot more stricter. I honestly don’t think being strict helps at all though. You’d want your students to learn and being hard on them is just going to make them lose motivation and therefore become negligent of their school. Sure, maybe being a nice and understanding teacher may lead your students to become rude towards you, but Ph also has some of the worst student attitudes (especially in boys) so obviously being strict doesn’t help either. I also find that in the Philippines there is a much closer teacher-student relationship than in the US. It’s easier to bond with your Filipino teachers and make them your friends than in the US. US has more of a professionalism when it comes to a teacher-student relationship. There’s obviously going to be both pros and cons of both sides but if we’re talking about preferences, I prefer the US school system because well, it’s just a much better and more evolved way of teaching. We don’t need to be harder on students. We also don’t need to have hard tests, exams, lessons, etc. We just need to LEARN. It’s honestly depressing to study in the Philippines. It’s very draining and you’d feel like you won’t be able to do anything more than just STUDY, STUDY, STUDY. You’d have little to no time to actually hang out with your friends (hence the amount of students ditching school), no time to get a job, no time for yourself, and no time to rest well. I hear Americans complain a lot about how the education system here is fucked up, but when you see situations like the Philippines, I just can’t help but to laugh how overly exaggerate their “issues” with the US education system. Americans should really check their privilege.

I studied in the US for 2 years (gr 4&5) and went back to the PH due to some problems. My first day of school in the PH was traumatizing because the teachers weren't as welcoming as the teachers in the states which made me so uncomfy. They didn't care about the new students and the way they teach was so different, like when they talk, they speak in front of their white boards and I coudn't hear a single thing they say while in the states they speak facing their students before writing anything on the board.
Thats when I became lazy in studying but there were nice teachers tho but they're just numbered.
Now I'll be migrating to the states in May
and will be able to study there once again:)

Actually yeah, a lot of students here at disrespectful towards their teachers but teachers here are nicee as hell. It is actually scary din to study here in the US, if in the philippines we have an earthquake drill, here we have a “lockdown drill” where we sit in the corner of the room, lights out and not making any sound just incase there’s a shooter running outside the halls. It’s scary but fun at the same time.

I think 1 reason why there are more group projects in the Phils because in the US the number of students will range from 20-30 students (correct me if im wrong) 😂 unlike here in the Philippines, 50-60 students. As a teacher, checking their tests, output and assignments individually is time consuming. That’s why teachers here in the Philippines and the curriculum itself, practice variety of strategies from individual to group activities (mostly) hahaha

The only thing they hated about me is because they find me very ugly because I have tan skin which is sooo stupid... They also think that I was their slave like if I won't follow their orders they would bully me again or worse punch me. I didn't say anything for the longest time because I was very threatened by them, I did say to my parents that I was bullied by calling me names but I didn't mention I was punch or kick or harassed or pushed.

Just wanna add some info about his vlog. Based on what I know and experienced. Mostly kasi sa mga vloggers like this one are from the East Coast. West Coast are behind lmao.
    1) When choosing a school to attend, it's not actually by town (not so sure about this), it's by the district. Kahit ilang high school ang nasa district na yan as long as nakatira ka sa district na yan, then it's your choice. Ex: You live in San Diego District and you want to attend a high school in Poway District, schools in Poway District won't accept you since you live in SD District. In other cases, if you have relatives in Poway, you can live with them and be eligible to attend the school you want in Poway (advantage).
    2) Bell's Time Schedule is different and sometimes, it changes every other trimester (also depends on the season - winter or spring season). Ex: When I moved to Cal, I attended school the third week of October (I literally wasted my 11th grade - 1st Trimester), school opens at 7:30 am., students can access library for the time being or gather at the open area connected to the cafeteria. Classrooms are not yet open until 8:00 am which is the bell time (students have 10 minutes to move to their first period); class starts at 8:10 am. If late prior to the bell time schedule for 15 minutes, a-attend ng attendance office, marked as tardy. The other trimester bell time is 9:00 am. Not unlike in the Philippines na mayroong 1st-4th grading, here in America it's 1st-3rd Trimester. Every trimester means new classes to attend or if you fail a subject, you can retake it again and make it to a passing grade.
    3) School wifi can be accessed through a student's ID number and portal password. It differs from school policy if you can access social media sites; here in our school was limited only. Other social media sites are blocked like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, porn sites and etc. TH-cam is allowed but to some extent, search history is being monitored.
    4) Foods in the cafeteria are for free if and only if you have brothers or sisters in high school. In addition to that, if a student is homeless or having a financial crisis, may waiver na ibibigay.
    5) About Counselors, it's true that they are the ones who will manage your classes for the whole school year but they can alter it. It does not mean na if you want to take the course that you want is always available, sometimes kulang ng teacher or hindi ino-offer ng school yung class na gusto mong itake or the minimum number of student to take is hindi pasado (Sometimes the school offers an online class for the course). Nakadepende din kung is it mandatory or not/requirements ba para makagraduate ka as a Senior. There are 4-5 Counselors a school has and are appointed alphabetically like Counselor A (A-E ang last name) and so on.
--> Students here actually loves groupwork. It depends on what courses a student is taking. Like High School English 1-4, American Lit., Expository Reading & Writing, History, Chemistry and many more. In Math classes, the only time our teacher talks is when he introduces our new topics, do's & dont's, techniques & tips that are irrelevant and are used by tutors. May group quiz din which is actually fun. No blackboards. #YestoWhiteBoard and Projector.
Fun Facts: Sa mga magmi-migrate dito sa US. (California)
    - Starting this school year 2021 ay magiging free na ang lunch here in California.
    - A student can't just go out of a class without the hallway pass.
    - Walang Flag Ceremony pero every first period or second period ay yung "Pledge of Allegiance" ang nirerecite. Minsanan ko lang narinig yun then namemorize ko kaagad the other day. Lahat tatayo then haharap sa US flag kung nasaan man yun nakapwesto sa loob ng room.
    - Principal and Vice Principals are always near the school entrance. Naggreet ng mga students. Pwede mo silang ihug or fist bump or give them a high five.
    - If you want to be an athlete, dapat may 2.0 na passing grade ganun. Nakitry out kasi ako sa Volleyball at naging substitute setter and opposite hitter. Yun nga lang inabot ng Covid yung season ng tournament kaya useless.
    - There are CCTV's installed inside and outside of the school premises.
    - A year level has more or less than 600 students.
    - Only have 5 classes a day.
    - NO 'recess' time. Lunchtime is between the 3rd and 4th periods. (30 minutes only sa school namin)
    - Teachers here do have their own classroom. Except for electives teachers who move from room to room where a teacher has a vacant period. There are no room sections. Room names are based on buildings and numbers. Like Music building room M110 up to room M120.
    - If a student is struggling with a subject, there's a free tutorial. Tutors are straight A's students.
    - A student can't just leave the school during class hours unless you have a school pass. (May security guard po sa gate!)
    - Hindi pwedeng umuwi kapag lunch time. Baka hindi na bumalik ang estudyante at iiskip ang next classes.
    - Seniors lang ang may Prom Night.
    - Madaming chics at afam lol😂
    - May swimming pool din sila mga pre!
Comment down if you need more trivia lol. These are just head-ups!✌
