The best ang teaching method sa Pinas, kahit madaming challenges. It all make us Pinoy so resilient to everything na dumating sa atin. It all make us masipag and maparaan sa lahat ng bagay. Not to mention - pagiging serious about education.

I was born in davao. I went to school there. I move when I was 10 though. I moved to canada. So talagang nakita ko yung difference nang escuelahan. Kaso elementary schools lang. Grabeng disciplinary talaga ang mga filipino schools

Another difference is the opening of every school day. Here in the Philippines, we have a formal flag raising ceremony with the Philippine National Anthem and the Patriotic Oath. In the US, students start with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Not all school sa US free ang food sa cafeteria... The parents pay a monthly credit... actually my grandson's other classmates get free lunch if they belong to the low income bracket.. but yes it's less stressful as my grandson says coz he used to be in the star section here in the Philippines...
FYI:
The High School is Free in America but you will not learn anything and when you go to College it will cost you a fortune compared to Colleges in the Philippines.

HI! Sorry po but I don't completely agree with this. Not all American public schools are entirely free. In my city, we still pay for our bus transportation and food. Let' not assume that students who go to American HS don't learn anything... we sooo do **again my experience, and in case my case I definitely did. The courses that EVERY STATE offer vary in difficulty ex. some may offer regular, honors, and AP (classes which are college-level classes which if u pass ur credits can be transferred in your choice of college). I admit and am clearly a witness of how college tuition here in the U.S can be a pain and can cost a fortune **you definitely got this on point** but this has nothing to do with the HS public education system in the U.S. I just also wanna add that the whole H.S experience has definitely provided me SO MUCH knowledge, and life learnings that I am applying now that I am in college. Also, the support system was great! I had the best counselor which has helped me so much with my college transition! High Schools in the U.S vary in so many aspects because each state has its own base of education laws and initiatives. Wag po nating lahatin yung the high school is free but u will not learn anything in America. Salamat po sa pagbasa! :) I don't have any bad intention in sharing my thoughts po. Hope I shared some valuable stuff that we can somehow agree upon. ^^

magiging senior na ako bukas sa american high school at pag mag aaral kayo sa america wag mahiya sa 1st day of school dahil maraming tao ay hahanap ng kaibigan kaya kahit di ka marunong mag english pilitin mo para mag ka tropa ka at tsaka puro sila groupings dito mas lalo na sa chemistry or history. para di bumagsak haha

@@Ste4247 school is free but for the services, school supplies and foods will depend in your parents salary. If they are earning more than $10k a month of course they will pay for the services, food and school supplies..but not much.

Hope you can make videos as well about adulting in there, like is it true that as you grow up in America you are required to get a credit card to start building your credit score? na miss ko ang pinas hay ...tagal ko na dito sa states ...25 years bulakbuk ako sa pinas dati elementary high school , pag dating ko dito sa states grabi ang high school den college ....idid my college days ..i did my computer networking technician but hindi ko ginamit nag nursing nanaman ako i did 15 years in the nursing job and also im proud USCG ... STUDY HARD ading michaella ..after high school mag nursing ka ading or pasuk ka sa , usnavy, usairforce , uscg, wag sa army or marines ...keep it up ading michaella

Only private schools, most if not all, have uniforms.
Usually in high school, freshmen starts with algebra/geometry, sophomores geometry/trigonometry, juniors trig/pre-calculus, then seniors calculus. Depende how advance you are from your peers. This vlog reminds of when I moved from the PI and going through middle school and high school. And you're totally right, teachers here are more lenient kumpara sa pinas. Here, teachers aren't allowed to physically correct a student coz they could be reported for abuse and lose their job. Kaya walang modo yung ibang student dito, ang tatapang at walang discipline.

and Im half Korean and Half Filipino but i was born in United States. I study in the Philippines for a 1 year and 4 months because of my lola and i was shy because i dont know how to communicate and then the teacher said i need to inroduce myself into my classmate. Im so nervous that time and im done to inroduce myself to my calssmate and my teacher said enjoy and try to speak tagalog or try to learn tagalog and one time im in Canteen and everybody say hi/hello. I wish is go to the Philippines again and i have one word that i know is Kamusta.

Her experience is very different because she is in ESL. Basically there is a level of difficulty and ESL is at the bottom. So the level is usually ESL, Regular, and Advanced Placement (AP) Classes. You need to meet certain criteria to get out of ESL to get into a regular class. The difference between Regular and AP is vastly different is terms of materials you learn, and there is an AP exam at the end of the year that can get you college level credits if you pass by a certain number. AP classes are basically college courses that you can take advantage of while in HS. She wasn't put into a regular class like a normal student, because she transferred here from another country. She's not acclimated to the rigorous academic work of learning independently where you pick your courses that you think will best get you into a good school.
HS students are independent, and they can get whatever they put in to their education. You can clown around like how she describes certain students, or you can buckle up and reach your full potential. You can get into good Universities when you put in the hard work. There are also extracurricular activities in school you can take to strengthen your resume when it comes to college admission.
There are no free food in the US. Getting free lunch in school means your parent's income level meets the requirement for you to get subsidized meal.
To get a better view of how other students experience HS look up college acceptance videos and the amount of commitment most American students put into their education. There is a reason why international students come here to study.
