Audi supplied a plastic wheel bolt (alignment tool) with my A6 competition. Switching my winters to my summer tires, the plastic wheel bolt sheered off inside the wheel hub. Sphincter episode! Fortunately I was able to wedge a Phillips screwdriver into the plastic and back it out. I went on Amazon 1 hour later and ordered an aluminum wheel bolt to replace it.🇨🇦

I heard it’s a common thing to roll the fenders on 360 and up style Ferrari’s because stock no matter what the wheel/tire will hit the backside of the fender when making a turn going up hill. I was just throwing this out there, I’ve never seen it but i can’t imagine rolling the fenders on a $100-300k vehicle🤷🏻♂️
I have always wondered why the wheels on our cars are set so far in. With that said, I couldn’t ever feel comfortable with spacers on a Ferrari, but who cares. To each their own. Looks good. Enjoy.

Actually haven't raised it since the gathering! It was way more lower with the previous owner. He raised it back up a bit before selling. This is just right for me.

Now that you’ve changed the alignment geometry, you needs a 4-wheel alignment, and expect to start buying wheel hubs/bearings since they are designed to run a certain way. Spacers cause problems on many components. And known to snap lug bolts as well
Will definitely keep an eye on all that. I did quite a bit of reading before buying these, and seems like really high quality hub-centric spacers with studs/nuts designed for it should have minimal impact. That being said, I was planning on sending the car for alignment pretty soon anyway. :) Much appreciated sir.
Ven Shenoy it’s a known fact you’ll burn up the hubs & bearings faster , yes it looks good but engineers at the factory do things for reasons , not for looks. Doesn’t matter how good the spacers are , you are putting more stress on the lug bolts, hubs , bearings, bushings, etc etc
Please double check if it needs suspension and/or wheel realignment if the spacer is bigger than 5mm. IMO, your F430 sounded better, the Novitec makes it sound less italian...and more american, especially at low rpm.
First upgrade I did on the Maserati, huge difference. Fully recommend wheel spacers, I just need to lower it some but have such a big front over hang that concerns me

Funny, I wasn't paying much attention to 430's until you picked up your 458 and said you thought the 430 was better looking. I'm really starting to agree... Jeremy Clarkson influenced my opinion so much in 2010 that I ignored the 430 since then. Now, I'm looking at a lot of videos on the 430!
That does look really good with the spacers....do you think it will still work on F430 lowered to Euro spec ?The top of my tires are very close to even with the fender lip or just slightly up insde.

The problem with this type of modification is it messes with the E-diff on the car as its not programmed for these mods. As a result, the e-diff is engaged full time, which can lead to premature solenoid failure. You can lower the car without any detrimental effects as the car is designed for lowering.
Choosing between a Gallardo and a F430 right now is pretty hard... Like, I love the F430 but man. The Gallardo just got a place on my heart... I grew up with that car so, let's see what can I do🇮🇹
Spacers is fine for the back. But front will require more power to turn.... I know since I did on my car as well.... Not sure how Ferrari steering would last long enough...
So, when you put the new spacer on, does it screw Into the rotor or will it come off every time you take the tire off ? Or do you use the long set screws every time from now on ?
Haha! Didn't use it to break the lug nuts or crank them on hard. Just to speed up the process of taking them on and off. I even mentioned to Daniel (off camera I think) that someone on TH-cam would give me shit for using an impact hahaha! ;)
Totally agree with how the impact was used. Basically the same as using a drill or an air ratchet to spin the lugs on and off. Ignore the internet trolls.

I have been seriously considering this since I got the 430. I wonder if it affects alignment? I would be interested to hear about future tire wear on that car. I love the way it looks with the spacers.
Theoretically it should not affect alignment much at all since none of the suspension arms have been touched. However, pushing the tires outwards increases scrub radius slightly, and also increases the motion ratio of the lower control arms (ratio of distances between lower control arm inner pivot to damper lower pivot, and LCA inner pivot to tire contact patch). Since that motion ratio is slightly increased it should change ride height slightly, which can change alignment angles slightly. But the difference is probably so minuscule with a 30mm change in track width that it would be undetectable on an alignment rack.
@@john_belk haha comes from years of studying and working on double-wishbone Honda suspensions, with things like why a 1-inch change in spring perch height changes the ride height by 1.5 inches, or why extending the lower ball joint down 1 inch changes the ride height by ~3/4 inches, and so on. A decade ago I was a moderator on the Suspension forum at Honda-Tech.com. I learned a lot there.

Can someone confirm the thread size? I ordered 14x1.5 and 12x1.5 just to be sure I had the right one. They were super cheap so I figured why not get both. Probably install this weekend

Spacers are god's way of telling the owner the wheels are too narrow and have the wrong offset. Adding rotating unsprung mass has no performance benefit whatsoever.
Total punch in the face exhaust? What? The cabin drone is outrageous. And these Ferraris are more fun to drive than a Corvette? I think there are hundreds of thousands Corvette owners that would disagree with you. Obviously you love Ferraris. But don’t project that love onto they being better than Corvettes. Hmm I'm not personally aware of anyone I know doing that. You can fit some pretty large tires on these.
