Dan, you can install a brass ring in the base hinge of the outside mirrors to fix the problem. Install the ring on top of the base/bottom pin. Take the mirror of and you will understand what I mean. Good luck on you sell, hope it will be a fair deal.

The settings on your 9500ci could use some tweaking, but I guess since you're selling the car it doesn't really matter so just FYI for the next car. Texas uses K band, so you should turn that on despite that making the 9500ci noisy because it lacks the BSM false rejection that modern radar detectors have. SWS (traffic alerts, the tech never took off) is useless so no point to have it on, and POP isn't used for traffic enforcement so it's best to turn that off as it greatly increases false alerts. X-band should be off if it isn't already since virtually no state besides OH uses it anymore. www.rdforum.org/rdfgs/v1/read/
I had to disable the K band as it drove me nuts. All the cars now have K band radar for cruise control and lane monitoring and crap like that. It was going off nonstop. I found almost always they used Ka or Laser only.

No, only the thermostat, accessory belt, and valve cover gaskets. None of the other issues are mechanical, they are cosmetic so I don't see a reason to fix them.

Well, I still have a lot of friends with 430's that want to work on them... So I don't think the F430 content will dry up entirely.

No, they are specific to the car model. I bought mine on Ricambi but if you don't have a Ferrari or Maserati I'm not sure where you'd get them.

BAD: plastic parts becomes sticky, tail lights(position is too high, inside volts snapped), fuel consumption. gear shift is slow,

Most side mirrors wiggle cause there made to pull in to help protect them in tight spots mine does it on my Hyundai so that's nothing to worry about
Well they are designed to move but the wiggle is because the inside rubber mount is loose. It's a very common problem in the 430.
