    Jack , after you finish the Washington book you need to read the Theodore Roosevelt books by Edmund Morris. There is also a cliff notes podcast on him called History On Fire, by Daniele Bolelli. It is definitely worth a listen .The guy lost an eye while boxing in the White House . He was well aware of masculinity and even added that industrialism was taking away from men and the human race . He was a fan of Nietzsche. I could literally throw out hundreds of things that the man accomplished including finishing his speech after being shot . Hope those things spark your interest. Thanks for the great podcast! Looking forward to your next book .

    I often thought if I had a strong father. I wouldn't have been so behind in my development as a man. I turned 30 when I finally started to get it. I'm 33. I'm the product of an absence father and a mentally and emotionally unstable mother, and social ostricization. These things turned me rather misanthropic for many years. Even in the Army I was a loner. Today I still am, but I try hard not to be. Because I was conditioned to be so, mom tried to turn me into Norman Bates. Dad was ambivalent and came and went for years. It's a no wonder I was so unmanly for years because no one wanted me to be. These videos help and my habit of seeking out knowledge.

    That was awesome! I feel fortunate to have had this brought to me. I just completed a book all about Testosterone & how to keep it healthy. I'm a huge advocate for the strong male. Feminism got her evil claws into me and reeked havoc on my life, but the bitch didn't get the better of me. As I regroup and move forward, it has become my passion/mission to stand up for masculinity and provide a woman's perspective in the realm of dating and relationships while reminding women how important that men are in our world and lives.

    Very true. The situation is way more complex. I didn’t recognize this I had a lot friends who didn’t have dads. And the ones who did were more reserved. The ones who didn’t liked exposing us to bs. And my dad always told me learn the good and the bad but just keep the good

      Yeah, but I feel like the dadless things is kinda an overused argument. Many don't have one but it's not like 60% is fatherless. 😅

    Loved that you are putting out more content like this Jack.
    Just wanted to comment on the order/disorder thing - I think right now the modern world has been suffering from, and is perhaps now recovering from, a pathology of order rather than disorder. I think we are pathologically ordered, and a little disorder is exactly what the doctor ordered.
    Too far in either direction and we go astray, of course.

    I understand that America going into chaos would open Americans eyes to the importance of strong men and order. But no matter how strong you make yourself as a man you don't want everything to deteriorate into chaos. A lot of good men would be lost. Humanity returning back to its natural state is ugly. It is definitely not like in the movies. But if you yearn for a world were your strength and skills would come handy, then I suggest you move to a third world country. You have no idea. Go quench your thirst for a year there and then you'll appreciate the safety of first world America. It'll be like breathing fresh air once again. But I also understand that it is better to be prepared and not have an opportunity than to be unprepared and get an opportunity.

    • @JackDonovan
      @JackDonovan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Ikpemhinoghena I know I’d prefer to continue to have a first world experience. I don’t have any illusions about what the collapse of America would look like. Unfortunately a lot of people seem to be pushing the country into collapse and poverty using a bad flu as an excuse.

    This is just my observation but I found this talk to be very Middle America. For one thing, most moms from my experience aren't the "soothing" or you're okay as you are type". But then again, that could be due to various factors. Wealthy mothers of the New York elite are pressuring their toddlers to get into elite private schools. And there is also the Tiger Mom stereotype. My own mother slapped me if I got below a C.
    I recently read a book about the Lavender Scare and this talk reminded how Mid-Western politicians thought that diplomats were too effeminate because they were not guns blazing and blunt. Politics, domestic or international, is not about being the straight forward hero. It's about being beautiful, alluring butterfly that poisons. Sure, it is feminine. But that is because politics has an element of seduction to it. It's about mind games, not brutal strength. Violence and strength are only to be hinted at but never reveal.
    I could say other things, but I'll keep my mouth shut.

    • @LockMacFly
      @LockMacFly 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you are right, the fatherless excuse is too overrated. But it surely is a serious problem.
      The poisonous butterfly thing you said is right. I wouldn't smack the entire butterfly though, because it surely contains some of the antidote to many serious illnesses.
      But it's being exploited to form a drug in which nobody can interpret reality anymore.

    • @doctorfox1592
      @doctorfox1592 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@LockMacFly Yes, fatherless is a problem, but I think that it's related to other factors. But the whole mother is a big softie that all gives hugs and make you feel better is a big miscalculation of female nature. For one thing, it still doesn't account for Upper East mothers and Asian mothers like Amy Chua who want pure academic perfection from their children. Or black or Latina mothers who beat the living daylights out of you if you step out of line.

    • @partlycurrent
      @partlycurrent 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why is being beautiful a feminine thing? Are you joking? When was the last time you saw a succesful man that's ugly?
      Being beautiful isn't manly or feminine.

    • @JackDonovan

      Asher Ray All politicians are con men. The Democratic party is the party of women and the nanny state. Full stop. The difference has never been more obvious. Want to be told to stay in your room and live in “protected” fear like a child while you are nourished by little handouts and allowances? Vote Democrat. That’s not what men want. Elliot is a man. Makes perfect sense to me.

    Cool channel but why are you using satanic symbolism in your videos, its completely uncalled for and offensive to religious men and it’s not why we are here brother.

    • @JackDonovan
      @JackDonovan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There is no specifically Satanic symbolism in my videos, though I guess there is a certain kind of Christian fundamentalist extremist who thinks any symbol from a non Christian culture is Satanic. And if that’s the case you should probably only watch some very specialized Christian network that caters to that…so you don’t get offended. In many ways the cancel culture we are having to deal with now is just a dramatic reaction to this kind of censorship behavior where you need to have everything sanitized for your protection.
