    fYI...I didn’t have a flat iron and I wanted to seal them so they wouldn’t dry out. So I heated up a knife over the stove and just placed it at end the package a couple of times and it sealed perfectly. A little ghetto but it worked.

    This was SUPER helpful!! Ty!!! Lol I might sound like a total dingbat lol but I jst got some (my guy actually won them lol, a total accident😂💪) so I’m sitting down (11pm on thanksgiving night, like I don’t have a zillion things to clean up lol🙄) but anyway, I was hoping to get a tutorial on actually “applying” the though. I know it sounds silly and I’m sure it’s so simple, ugh I’m jst not good at this stuff. I’m really havin a hard time placing them correctly and getting the top to not look (choppy is the only word I can think of🙄)....am really hoping maybe u would do a video of u actually applying them. Ty so much!! I enjoyed ur video, u seem super sweet. Thanks for taking the time for us!!!

    I was planning to buy the French tips and after watching this video I know that I should work up to them. My nails aren't very long so going at them from both ends would be difficult for a beginner. My nails are ridged. Would it be best to buff them down to a flat surface before applying the polish?
    I want these to be perfect from the beginning. Also, I wash my hands a lot bc my mother was a nurse and turned me into a handwashing major. Will washing in cold water be of benefit? Thank you.
    P.S. Your sweater is perfect for your eyes.

    • @carlyeslinger
      @carlyeslinger  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      First, thank you for the compliment.😁 Second, don't worry about ridges or nail length for trying out the french tips. My sis in law went very bold from the beginning and did a light beige solid her first time. I walked her through it on a facetime and am available to do that for any of my customers.😊 Our french is the easiest I've ever done - did you know they are also buy one get one free? I have a short video on how to apply, and I know there are tons of other great application videos out there too. You can do just a small bit of white tip for french or overlap it more, even though your whites aren't as long. Its your choice.
      As for the ridges, I would not buff your nails. This does do some damage. I'd double the color street strips. Then they should not be visible.
      Washing hands frequently is *essential* now. My nails are usually no worse for it, but my hands do get dry. Use your favorite lotion and keep cuticles from getting too raggedy. Moisturizing the skin just below the cuticle will actually help the nail grow out stronger and healthier. (I also use collagen peptides and hair skin and nail gummies for supplements.) I use gloves whenever I think of it for doing dishes. Otherwise I am washing my hands probably 20-30 times/day (at home all day) - I use not scalding hot but warm water. Hope all that helps!🙂

    I buy a lot of nail strips,I may have a year's worth by now, if not opened, would the strips last unopened for a year or more? Would it be better to put them in the freezer, for that long period of time? Or does it not matter? Please share your thoughts about it.Thanks,you are very helpful with your tips.

    • @carlyeslinger
      @carlyeslinger  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll share my thoughts. The company, I believe, states that nails strips unopened are good for a year. I, however, and would think many others could tell you that I've had sets since I started 2 1/2 years ago, and they're still fine. I've also opened sets and then resealed them (right after using) and had those last for over another year without quality issues. Just remember, it's nail polish. Any extreme temps are not good for it, nor exposure to air. Hope that helps!😊 Enjoy all your nail strips!

    Ok I bought these from a party my daughter had. They came off my nail tips ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.

    • @carlyeslinger
      @carlyeslinger  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Okay let's fix that. Did you give them some time to cure before getting wet or doing anything too rough? Although they are 95% dry nail polish, they do need to cure the rest of the 5% way. I do best applying mine right before bed (I mean after you've flossed, washed your face, showered, everything) A nice clear coat or using our clear strips - Clear as Day - over top really helps keep your mani looking good longer. The whole reason they are sold through people in a direct marketing platform is so that we can personally help customers have the best user experience possible. If I can be of any further help let me know!🙂

    • @carlyeslinger
      @carlyeslinger  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No need for that! Color Street nail strips are 95% dry which means they will cure the rest of the way in their own. Just try not to do anything too rough on your nails for an hour or so; no washing dishes, showering, or gardening right away. The best time to apply them is RIGHT before crawling into bed for the night.😊

      Color Street is 100% real nail polish that is 95% dry. The little bit of remaining dry time happens when you put them on. Top layer is dry, so no smudging, smearing. • @carlyeslinger
      @carlyeslinger  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could try a sideways application of the nail strips instead of the lengthwise. Then they will be very wide. However, if your nails are on the long side this may not work; they'd have to be pretty short nails. Hope that helps!☺
