Washer Calibration Mode Fix Whirlpool Amana Roper Inglis Easy Fix Shift Actuator | Josh Cobb

In this video, I'll show you how to fix a Whirlpool, Amana, Inglis, or Roper HE Washer that needs a new shift actuator, and how to calibrate it successfully. Sometimes when trying to complete calibration, it won't complete and shuts down before finishing. I show in this video how to check error codes and see what the issue is. In this video, the error is a bad shift actuator. During a wash cycle, the shift actuator allows the cycle to move past the sensing and filling stage. Or sometimes, it's from rinse to the final spin stage, just depends on which mode the shifter is stuck on. The shift actuator is also the sensor that tells the mother board how fast the tub is spinning, so if that past of the actuator is broken you won't get past the wash portion of the cycles. When the rinse spin happens, it will error out because it won't be able to tell if the drum is spinning....even tho it is shifting between agitate and spin just fine. Just something to watch out for. Be sure to watch until the end, I included shots of the service manual for all the steps on diagnostics mode and what the fault codes mean!

I am having this but with a brand new actuator original, kinda frustrated atm ngl
Did you remove the transmission to clean it?

No two screws will remove the actuator and you can attempt to clean it if it looks dirty.
