- I've always wanted to do this and now I have! Got the high flow cats from Ebay, and the tips and glasspacks from Summit Racing. It's LOUD!!!!!! You can't go wrong with a Dodge.

SUV Man, Mopar Man, Dodge Boy, no matter the name I'm always excited when you post a video. I just last month got me a 97 1500 ram with a manual. She's a good truck. Mine came with a flowmaster exhaust on it, I just had to weld up the holes. Any news on the acclaims rust?
LOL well I thought that "Dodge Boy" fit the bill since I drive a Dodge Ram now(my username is based on the vehicle I drive). BTW The Acclaim's been gone since may last year. I traded it in for a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SLE which I'm gonna sell.
@@Tbolt1000TForLife Checking through them in the junkyard recently they all make it well over 200k miles, it's really the rust that kills them. If people would just fight it early it wouldn't be a big deal. Mine has a spot on the passenger side bed and passenger side cab, and one on the driver's door. I ground them out and painted them for the time being to stop the rust.
I love the set up but it's just a little to loud for my like do you think a y pipe would quiet it down a little more or maybe a 24in thrush muffler might do it
Can you link me the hi flow cats? And the cherry bomb glasspacks? I'd love to do this to a truck in getting (except I want to install headers)

Do you know how long glass packs last before you have to replace them I heard they start to sound bad at some point but I've heard that some people say when they burn out they sound better and some people keep them on there until they rushed through
after about 50k miles, mine got a tad louder and a bit raspier.

Just look up OBD II High flow cats on ebay. The Cherry Bomb glasspacks you can find on summit racing. Be warned because they will make your truck very loud. I got pulled over for having loud pipes once(got off with just a warning). I've since changed them out with Borla PRO-XS mufflers because I moved into a trailer park and the management doesn't like loud exhaust, and too many complaints could lead to a lease violation. This truck is going to be replaced this spring or summer by an '03 or '04 Chevy Blazer because it's got 251k miles, burns 1 quart of oil for every 2 tanks of gas and is rusting. it also takes up a lot of space in my driveway. A blazer will fit my driveway much better.
What about o2 sensors trying to get my 97 setup
Just mount 'em in the stock locations before and after the new cat on the right exhaust pipe. That's how mine's set up and no check engine light.
6o7 can still a hole just about anywhere before the pipe and weld a nut that fire the o2 weld it on the hole bam just like nrw

It' got 248,000 miles on it so yeah it's worn out. It goes through a half a quart for every tank of gas. Though it still runs like a champ and has never let me down.

I have like a 4 foot glass pack sounds way different than this same engine mines 2002 though
Well yeah, a 4 foot glass pack is going to do a whole lot more muffling than an 8 inch one.
Mine has no cats no resonator its louder actually
