    "Hungary is one of the most difficult countries to enter illegally"
    What's the problem with that?! An illegal immigrant has no permission to stay in the county. Any immigrant, who is allowed can come and go as he/she pleases. For goodness sake, yes, Hungary's government is authoritian and cocky, but not a team of dictators. There is a difference between being unjust and being tough on a crisis.

      The Laughing Man well then they should give back the 22 billion euros they received in the last years from the EU. And from now on no one should trust a Hungarian's word since it took them a decade to forget what they pledged to do when they joined the EU.

      "Hungary will be Hungarian in 100 years"
      Really? Most of our nationalist who are so fond of their cultural heritage don't have a clue about that exact heritage, and are rather uneducated. I do love my country, i find our history and craftsmenship fascinatind and i oppose illegal immigration but what is happening in my country right now is ridiculous. 20% of the population is illiterate and these people get all their information from the solely government operated radion stations. How is this in any way normal? I agree that the west went too far with "liberalism" which can't even be called liberal, more like *you can't speak freely if it offends anyone in any way* and doing so they destroyed what they wanted to achieve but here, in Hungary corruption is rampant and people are deliberately misinformed and lied to.

      Well if you want rigged elections with the current government paying people to vote for them, people's votes massively disappearing and manipluating old people who don't know whats happening in the world then fine.
      Our current government is not a good one, they lie about a lot of stuff such as the "BIG" "Soros Plan" (that doesnt exist btw), and they are riding on the immigrant wagon for a long time now, even if the immigration has stopped by now mostly and immigrants are a rare sight at the border now. I'm not saying that the fence wasn't useful but cmon man it's like telling us "But I helped you with your maths test last year so you must do what I say ".
      I'm really scared that we will get kicked out of the EU because of the government not doing what it should be.

    This video makes little sense, on one hand that says that Orban is a threat to liberal democracy, yet on the other he was elected leader by a fair all-inclusive democratic vote. That is without doubt a cornerstone of liberal democracies.
    The problem is Orban is resisting certain globalist and European institutions. The ruling European kakistocracy do not like this at all. Things really started to heat up around migration, Orban's views about nationality and self-determination are shared by the majority of citizens in the EU.
    Why not put the issue of migration to national referenda throughout affected countries? It's simple the ruling kakistocracy know they will be told to go to hell.

    Have the BBC any idea of the history of Hungary? They show considerable disregard even contempt for the history of countries like Hungary and Poland. Hungary was almost destroyed in 1526 at the Battle of Mohács by muslim Turks who were allied to France. The Hungarians have a saying when anything goes wrong in their lives, something like “Worse happened at Mohacs” or “Not as bad as Mohacs”
    . When the victorious Turkish army marched into Budapest, the French ambassador was there to congratulate them on their victory.
    The Poles count one of their greatest achievements was saving Europe from yet another Turkish invasion at Vienna in 1683 despite opposition from France.
    Almost incredibly, in the 1870s when black slavery had been abolished the Muslim Turks were selling Hungarian and other East European women as slaves throughout their Empire. Not many and they were very expensive for that reason, but that's not the point.
    Both countries have been ill used by French and German states throughout their history. Whatever multiculturalists may think for France and Germany virtually order them to admit foreigners particularly muslims is hard for them to swallow.

      I don't really see that as an argument for even more immigration, but whatever. Immigration today breaks apart societies and causes tensions between the local population and migrant population, especially with muslims. It is a real problem everywhere and we've just had enough of it. Immigration does nothing but damage to our societies. Refugees... fine, they need help. But more than that? No. Multi-culturalism and Europe do not mix

    Hungary has the right to self-determination and setting its own immigration policy, but if it clamps down on freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and an independent judiciary, its state shouldn't have the right to access Western subsidies and funds, western free markets, and customs free barriers, without accepting any responsibility. Right now Hungarians are being taught to credit Oban with their economy, so the west is complicit, by rewarding Oban's power grabs.

    • @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063
      @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I mean liberal democratic principles like freedoms. And responsibility in solving crises, both defence and humanitarian.

    • @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063
      @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TIH YDP, No, it's not rubbish, freedom is the issue. Just because you want to reduce every issue down to " saving the white race" from "brown people" as you claim in the other thread, doesn't mean all Hungarians should be deprived of free speech, a free press, access to NGOs, independent education, and an independent judiciary.

    • @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063
      @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If people oppose immigration, that is perfectly reasonable to do so in a free society, what is not reasonable, is for the government to control the press, and shut down opposition voices, and control the judiciary, and use fear of minorities. Europe has gone this way before, and it ended in disaster. Liberal democracy is a product of the enlightenment, which has given the west our advancements, both social and scientific.

    • @jooloo5150
      @jooloo5150 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bjørn Henrik-Pettersen The biggest threat to free speech, a free press and independent education etc., is multiculturalism, particularly Islam, and the liberal left as demonstrated so clearly in Britain, Sweden and the rest of Europe, and as in Canada. There is no free speech in Britain anymore. There is indoctrination in our schools which is enforced by inspectorate. There is enforced alteration in our language and the dopey, dangerous notion of 'hate' speech. The insidious evil of identity politics is encouraged by multiculturalism, the need to identify by 'communities' rather than by nation states.

    • @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063
      @bjrnhenrik-pettersen9063 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joo Loo, Governments stifling public criticism, controlling the press, and controlling the judiciary isn't a remedy for a lack of free speech in western Europe. Criminalising the idea of Poles being collaborators in the Holocaust is absurd, what next? We all should have adopted America's full free speech, we don't have a right not to be offended, Britain is actually a lot better than a lot of Europe in this regard. We should also adopt America's cultural melting-pot over multiculturalism.

    Just a friendly reminder, dear Compatriots, when we talk about these "immigrants that arrive from abroad": you seem to have forgotten that we also just arrived in the Carpatian region at some point and we were indeed newcomers as well. Let alone, that what today seems to be traditional Hungarian, has indeed NOTHING to do with the Magyars: Let's have a look, shall we?
    What would Arpad say he saw:
    - we are not nomad anymore, but settled in cities, villages
    - we changed religion and took up a non traditional, un-magyar-like one, from other cultures
    - we use Latin alphabet and ARAB (danger, danger, danger!) numbers, OMG
    - we eat paprika, krumpli, cabbage, corn, tomato, McDonald's
    - we use words like smucig, mutter, muszáj, sezlony...
    So just think about how many things we picked up througout the centuries by being an open society. Now, this seems to be closing in, which is the worst any surviving society can do. But, no problem, let's commit national suicide, we are good at it.

  • @CheCosaTesoro

    This story is very distorted. The EU was formed for Europeans to serve economic and freedom of movement. While questions of judicial democracy are relevant, the question of immigration has been addressed democratically in Hungary. Every country gas its own right to decide on immigration as this item was never part of the original concept of the union.

    The EU policy regarding refugees and immigration as well as Schengen are also suicidal in the long term. You cannot allow tens of millions of people into Europe who are basically against Western civilization, such as those coming from many Islamic societies and Africa. These folk are economic migrants more than anything else. They largely do not value traditional Western values or civ. and therefore Eastern Europe recognizes this threat for what it is, as opposed to many in the West, who pretend every culture is the same and or equal. This is demonstrably false and dangerous.
    The examples of the above are clear. Sweden, Britain, Italy, France, Benelux and of course Germany, all have large problems because of these issues.
    I have not heard specific examples how democracy does not exist in Hungary. Are the elections unfair? What open society values have been rejected by Orban?
    This all seems like a lot of assertions and accusations and little to no substance. I would like specifics and evidence.

    I find it very interesting that they acknowledge that the people of Hungary have voted for this time and time again yet they pretty much ignore this fact throughout pushing more to try and trip people up rather than actually do anything investigative. The manner in which they questioned was far more predatory than inquisitive. I also think it is very telling that they refuse to acknowledge any other form of democracy other than liberal, left-leaning democracy. There is no acknowledgement that an actually democratic country, unlike the communist/totalitarian countries that go by the same definition, can be anything other than liberal or left-leaning; you can't try and remain in the centre and try and be impartial and you especially can't lean towards conserving what has worked in the past because that is very often labelled as being far right.
