For some reason I have been avoiding Benchmade for years, the other day I bought a Griptilian 556BK-S30V. Dear God, how good the knife is. Perfect for EDC in all segments
The first time I held a griptilian, I knew I needed to get one.
The action really surprised me and you're right, the blade shape, although not fancy looking, is very capable of all sorts of tasks
Congratulations!!!!!!!!
Thanks brother and thank you for your support. You were one of the first channels I connected with. I'm glad to see you are still rocking ⭐⭐⭐🎸🎸🎸🎸
@@rustyminer hey man my pleasure indeed!!!
I've had a few of these over the years. Matter of fact my current EDC is this model with an uncoated blade. I've never broken one or worn any of them out. They're super durable and tough.
Thanks Tiny. Video out tomorrow on a couple more I picked up. If I were to go back to my 20's and buy one knife for life. It would be the Griptilian.
@@rustyminer it would definitely be one of my top choices. Benchmade has always made a good knife.
I just bought one two months ago. The Ace Hardware had them for 99.99. I thought that was a steal so I got one. My first Benchmade. It is the best feeling knife in hand that I own. I’ve got quite a few. Anyway I like the color of yours better. Mines Black with satin blade.
$100 brand new is a very good bargain. These are bringing $125 plus, used on eBay and fetching it too.
The ergos are a main design point
Thank you for sharing your thoughts
Congrats on one year. And congrats on the new Bechmade, that is a solid performer.
Thank you TD. And no doubt, the Griptilian is a very capable knife
I was wondering what was missing 😕 Then you busted out the comics for the cut test. 😆
I'd buy the Ganzo over the Benchmade all day long. They're approximately priced & a great value for the price!. Tops, Esee, Ka-Bar are all.knives absolutely worth their prices. I'm eventually going to buy the Gibson axe 🪓 from Esee.
Yeah, this video got winded. I did get a cut test though. Ganzo is an excellent brand
Damn time flies when you’re having fun. Congrats Buddy!!! 🥳
Thanks my friend, and it sure does fly
Congrats on the anniversary! The Grip is a classic.
Thank you and yes, I believe the Griptilian is a good one
Happy anniversary man! Awesome way to celebrate.
Thanks my brother. Very pleased with this one.
I just got the mini Griptilian. Looking forward to getting the full size like you have. Great review. Congrats on the anniversary!
Thank you Jon. Enjoy your mini grip . I'd say the Mini grip is on my list
Congrats on one year brother! Great classic knife too!
Thanks my friend. The griptilian is a good one
Happy Anny! You pretty much covered ‘most everything about the ‘Grippy’ plus a couple of other knives. That free sharpening and lifetime warranty is the real kicker. Should be a great gift for a Baby Shower for true knife lovers. It would also be a great gift for me too. Then I would never have to buy a sharpening stone or learn how to sharpen a knife! ;)
Thanks Tai,
I'm very happy with my Benchmade and don't feel like I paid too much.
You're right, a good warranty is worth something.
This knife offers so much. Easy to carry, strong and lightweight, capable.
Congratulations Rusty! This is one of my favorite channels. You'reprobably#1. I'm going to watch all your videos to support your channel regardless of what you discuss. I'm watching all.of Jake's videos at CCE, and most of LTKs videos because you never know what silly sh*t he's gonna say.
Other than those 3 channels, I only watch if it's in my feed & subject matter that interests me.
Thanks Savant, I'm honored to be a channel you watch
So I've been watching you almost from the start...good to know. Happy Anniversary Rusty !
I was about to say that was a bump in the budget but $82 !!!! That's an instant BUY NOW !!! Congrats on that knife. I haven't bought any Benchmades recently lost 3 in a fire some years back ☹️. I've been staying with the more economical blades while rebuilding my collection. But I have been eyeing a version of this one recently. Good content as usual & you got me slicing foam peanuts 😝. I like em to cut very thin slices !
You're a long time viewer for sure and a regular as well. I appreciate that.
And you are right, I was looking for the Griptilian and couldn't find any, really, then I saw the OD green with black DLC blade.
I bought it that night and I usually sit on a decision for a bit.
@@rustyminer me too, Rusty. Usually takes at least a few days to click the buy. I've missed out on some by delaying.
@@tombrown4683 well, we only live once, but we still have to eat 🤣👊👌
Meaning, we should balance our knife buying with responsibility.
Hard to pay attention to what your saying when you're gasping for air
Sounds like you better get your hearing checked 😜
