Toyota just needs to add a rear locker option to the sr5 lineup. That would be a great happy medium for reliability of the tacoma, but not all the bells and whistles of the electronics in the off road/pro. :-)
I have the predator package but came with the gray wheels but did have the Goodyear wranglers. Everything I have . Bought at Fred Anderson in Asheville
Very nice trucks. My first Tacoma was 2nd gen Sport. Now I have a 3rd gen TRD Pro. Word for the wise. If you planning on keeping your Tacoma 5+ years. DO NOT get the paint protection package unless you plan on changing it every 2-3 years. It yellows over time and will be very difficult to remove. It is a good option for off/gravel roads. However, it's not a good choice if you do mostly highway driving. The DIY removal is a real headache at year 5.
Nice video Jeff as usual but I do like the TRD off-road or the off-road premium I will be looking later on this year hopefully take care and stay healthy .
Im not sure if the global shortage of semiconductors has any factor on it, but Toyota is rolling out the premium package Tacomas out slower than a snails pace. Ordered one last year and still havent heard a peep on the production status.
I have a question, is a XP type of option available for the SR5 4runners??? I live in Virginia near the border of NC and when I get a vehicle in the upcoming years it’s definitely gonna be from your dealership!!!
@@shanesundet4208 average ownership of tacoma is 9 years and the f150 iS 8.5 years. Unless you plan on keeping it until you bury it these midsize trucks are still overpriced.
@@patrickjames2578 Good points. alot depends on the individual buying the vehicle and your needs and wants. Something I consider is cost of a 2012 F150 supercrew xlt new was about 34k. now they are about 14k. That would be about a 9 year old F150. For comparison, take a 10 year old 2011 Tacoma SR5 DC that cost 30k new now goes for about 18k. it costs the F150 owner 20k to own the vehicle for 9 years, and costs the Tacoma owner 12k for 10 years. If you need or want an F150, the extra money per year is worth it. If you need or want a Tacoma, you are getting what you want and paying less for same ownership time, regardless of whether you keep it forever. Price upfront makes no difference. I would pay 500k for a Chevy if I could drive it for 10 years and sell if for 490k. Its not the dollars paid upfront but the actual dollars spent over the time you own it. Also consider number and total costs of repairs for the F150 vs Tacoma over the ownership of the vehicles..That said, Ford is building some nice looking trucks these days!
I like the XP predator package
Getting close to 17500 miles on my taco. I still look at back everytime I walk away from it lol.
Nock on wood.
I have 80,000 miles on mine and I still love it.

I got a cement sr5 last summer. LED interior bulbs were the first upgrade. I got them on line for under $50. They popped right in
Great video Jeff! I would have to add a sunroof for sure. I would travel to get the XP package also! Stay warm! Mark in Iowa.
Hi Mark! It is nice here this week. It will be in the 60s and sunny for the next three days. Hope you stay warm
Hi bro. I like all Toyota Tacoma

How much more for Push Button start?
I love the Tacoma and I would get the TRD Off road if I could! I was also wondering if the Toyota Sienna LE has Remote start?
XP only adds TRD rims, slightly bigger more aggressive looking tires, the pro step guards, and XP badge instead of SR5, right? Did I miss anything?
I thought the technology package made the rear bumper body color ?

Great review Jeff. Be well.

Can you try and get a Tacoma long bed limited

They’re all over the place in Charleston. Not sure about inventory, but they for sure have them.
Jeff, do you know if Tacoma will still have cement color in 2022?
No because I tried. I’m getting the Lunar Rock with XP package.
What’s the difference between the double cab and the access cab?
2 doors
add bout 5 grand onto the sr5 out here in the san Francisco bay area unfortunately for they price I can get ram 1500 with v8 quad cab !
Can we order a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro Double Cab?
Yes you definitely can
@@Toyotajeff Do you guys have allocation?
@@erickisel8668 You have to special order one and then it takes a couple to a few months to come in
@@Toyotajeff I understand, thank you. Does Fred Anderson charge more than MSRP for the truck?
Cricket Cricket Cricket lol
The goats thing killed me
