i dont have a kayak but been planing on buying one and ive got 2 ideas eather a stringer into the water or like a peice of pipe with a bunch of holes dangled off the boat
Do you recommend getting the optional rudder for paddling long distances in water that might be a bit choppy or in windy conditions? Is the rudder foot controlled (for steering) or is it fixed in one position once it's deployed? Thanks for any info.
looks very unsteady to stand in, needs outrigger pontoons to keep it steady. plus it is kinda expensive for so little. Although it is 14 ft. so i guess that does make a difference. Do you have a wider model to where we would be able to customize it better?
me and my dad are looking in to getting two sit on top kayaks for flats and small waves. we fish for top 6 hours and our budget i s 700 for each. id like something pretty stable wat would u reccomend
$1,200 is around the normal pricing on a good kayak built around fishing. The bigger names companies have awesome warranties on them also which covers it stern to bow.
these jacksons are sweet... went offshore with a dude who had the cuda 14 ... super stable rig... real good for sight casting the flats as well...
•Length: 14.3 ft
•Width: 29.75 wide
•Weight: 74 lbs
•Capacity: 400 lbs
•22 inch wide flat standing platform
Great review Capt., I hope you do a similar one on the Jackson Kayak Big Tuna!

No it doesn’t. It’s very stable I’ve been throwing a cast net from it for over a decade. I hope you’ve lost weight since your comment
How wide is the kayak in inches? I like the stability of it.
What is the kayak behind you very low profile shiny green hull laying flat on back corner of the pool? Thanks
It would be excellent for that region.
The kayak is a nice kayak, The only problem I have is about the seat; It seems pretty loose-- I'd like to see a track for the seat, and a lock for it.
big tuna or cuda? im getting one or the other, and if you had to pick one what would you get?
I have not been in the model you are referring to.
