I'm jealous of your upgrade. Very nice!! I am trying to change to a 2 speed gearbox on my C24. I purchased a 30A ESC, lighting kit and 6ch remote control to convert to a 2 speed gearbox. A problem occurred. The wires from the ESC to the motor and the motor and ESC overheat within 20 seconds. I looked for several videos on 2-speed gearbox upgrades. But I didn't get a solution so I reverted to the stock motor and gearbox. Is there a solution for overheating?
Hello, it's normal for the esc and motor to be warm after a while but it should't be too hot to the touch. Maybe double check your wiring and make sure you are using batteries that the esc can handle (im assuming 2s batteries only). If this doesn't solve it then maybe try using a different esc. Hope this helps.
@@NotSoScale Thank you for your kind reply. I use 2s 1500mA battery. I already used the plastic square 40A esc and it got hot so I returned it and found your video. I then ordered and installed an ESC similar to yours, and it also got hot. LOL The 2-speed gearbox I bought is not a genuine WPL product, but a third part made of metal. I suspect it may be because my 2-speed motor is not WPL.
@@NotSoScale Oh, thank you. I only have one 2S 1500mA battery. I'm going to disconnect the motor from the gearbox and run just the motor. I expect that it will be revealed whether it is a gearbox problem or a motor problem. I'll keep trying. thank you.
@@NotSoScale Oh, sir, I just found out the cause through testing. As long as the motor is running, there is no significant heat generation. The cause was the gearbox. Perhaps this gearbox is not sophisticated enough to overload the motor. I wasted my money. LOL
Love the orange! Some nice choice improvements 🤙
Nice upgrades, I like the C24-1! Good job 👍
Blast to watch, I have an orange c24 and can't wait to show it off, it's mad Max theme, also working on a war rig
I like the way you WPL 👍

Works the gearbox great after 2 years?
Still working, no issues but I didn't really run it that much.

Very nice upgrade for sure. Love your content! You definitely deserve more subs! Keep doing a great work man! Subscribed!
Thank you so much!
