Judging by the Facebook forums, people are going nuts for these. I guess they are almost all bought by people who like modifying their WPLs (don't we all) or as shelf queens. They look lovely, but I bought an MN82 instead.
If we compare stock versions, MN82 is much better than WPL D62/4.
You should put the locked axle from the 2wd one onto the 4wd one so it has an open front diff and a locked rear.
That might make it work better. 😂

We want low gearing and real tyres!
In this case I think I'd swap rear axles so the four-wheel-drive version can actually get out of its own way, then give the 2WD one away to the first kid I saw!
Its the right side...if its on the left side.
I just replaced the dead stock electronics in my c24 with a direct drive rwd brushless setup to build a drift truck with. It's really fun right now because I've got the rear suspension completely slammed to make the driveshaft short enough to not grenade itself on launch.
I feel like they could have done way better with these. Glad I didn't pull that trigger considering they both need upgrades directly out the box. Thanks for the video Phil!

Not sure here. Wpl are getting better, but even for their price scale, they could be that little bit better. I'm happy enough with the wpl rigs I have, but up the ante a little more is what wpl need.

Is nice that they made the rwd and 4wd models different mark highluxes. 2wd being the mark 3 and 4wd the mark 4 with different lights and wider arches.
The only upside to the 260 motors is they are the same diameter as the 370's just a shorter can.
Open dogs on the 4wd would have been super scale.
I think if you removed the d rear axle for a c series axle that's locked it probably wouldn't be too bad. Also different electronics and slightly bigger tires.
Maybe try out some of the c series v1/2/3/4 tires on it

The Hilux from Japan, where it is made, is also right hand drive. The American Toyota "Tacoma" is the oddball for being left hand drive.
Phil. Little suggestion for the wet feet. Get a cheap selfie stick stick a hook (preferably blunt) on the end, then when a car is in the middle of the puddle you can reach it with the stick.
It's cheap and portable. 😄👍

i think that the main point of these is not to be a crawler for some heavy offroading like the other models, but rather for realism and usage in like a park or something. that wheel is big lol though😅

A loose wheel out of the box is a feature you learn to repair it before drive it lol
Those things are just above toy grade, but the bodies can be used for other projects.

Tom. I am thinking of buying a Lexan body of a 1974 Ford Escort MK1 RS2000 with the 4 big foglights and all the racing kit. 1/10th scale. I want a 3s brushless setup but not super fast. Can you recommend any powerplants, good vehicles for a body as a drift car, etc.?
Gave up on wpl. Not worth upgrading toy grade when you can spend a bit more and get a real RC
Thats about where I'm at, theres plenty of decent used stuff too.
They're great looking scale r/c trucks, but are limited on the surfaces they can run on. There seems to be a quality control issue with the boxing dept.

I am very impressed that worked immediately after you took it out of the water. Chinese are strange, how is possible, to make something that is kind of jung, is nice scale looking, and it work outside of the water after you submerged it. All of these they impressed me a lot. I am so confused but with a positive thinking. To be honest, i am afraid to submerged my rustler 4x4 vxl, but i am not afraid at all, to submerged a wpl rc model. What is going on here. My brain is confused 🤔how they combine all of these ingredients and after all the models work. HOW ?😄 What top secret technologies and materials they use ? Give them my congratulations for all of these, they deserve it for real.

Ha..I'm using the same line of action figures I think. On The C24 i had to make mods to fit them though.
the new ones are all scale, not much go :( Might pick up a 4WD one and fiddle with the diffs.
Keep your money form something else. I have spend 3 or 4 times the money I paid to buy the C24/1 and it still is an average car. With all that money I could have bought an FMS. I also have a B16, completely stock which is more durable and capable.
I think WPL and MN should dona collab model together the new MN models coming out are unreal

the water reminded me of my scx10 2 went through some water about 8 meters across 50cm deep cause my controller took a dump crawled right up the other side

Absolutely abysmal quality control, yikes. Looks like they were kicked down the stairs before being packaged.
well as he said, its a packaging issue, nothing is broken it has just somehow self disassembled, its a new package design from them so they are not used to this one anyway.
Pretty standard for WPL. I've had 3 of their kits and I've had to get in touch with them about missing/broken/non-functional bits every time. Maybe I've been unlucky, but never again for me.
Out of the 30+ WPL trucks I own, I’ve never received one broken. And I have several from before the official store ever existed.

A little annoyed when they updated the packaging. I'm happy because it can save plastic, but the packaging update makes it damage the contents of the item and makes it look even cheaper.

I had an WPL B36 and a C14...both of them died after about 30-40 days from fired ESC. I would never buy from them again
I've never used any of WPL electronics for that reason, WPL's are not an entry level vehicle if you plan on driving them for a long time... It is a maintenance and craft sport my friend..✌️❄️🤙

Anyone got any idea why mine bounces when steering? Doesn’t matter if it’s forward or reverse, it’s severe. I’ve adjusted the steering and camber and just can’t fix it

Well nobody said this trucks are crawlers, why do you guys keep trying to use them as such? It would be interesting to see how fast, one can make them go, but I think they are meant as scale light bashers for kids, with great looking bodys for adults

Well the box says "RTR" so I wouldn't expect to spend an hour putting it together, even at this price level.
