Went for a G440 fitting today and then promptly ordered some G430s. Their old stuff is just still so good and still on discount at the moment luckily for me!
I'm a Ping loyalist with G430 driver, 3W and 7W in my bag and about to get a 5H and take out my 5 iron. Interestingly I still have my 15 yr old G15 4 wood (17 deg) in the bag and continue to use it despite the adjustable 3W. I thing the reintroduced 4W will be a winner for both Ping and their target audience of mid - high handicappers. Great honest assessment as always !
I’ve just had a fitting for the Ping 440 irons and woods, and so pleased I viewed this video as I’ve ordered the Driver (Max) a 4 wood, 7 wood and I’ve dropped the 6 iron for a 9 wood. I’ve had retro lofts on the irons.
Im debating whether to go with the 4 or the 5 wood. I'll probably go with the 5 since I'm looking for more height and mostly hitting it from the fairway. I'll probably go back and forth before making the final decision. Good stuff, Andy. I'm always thinking about this end of the bag.
I got fitted for a 4 wood recently and for me the PXG absolutely beat sparks off the Ping. I wanted to walk out with Ping but the PXG was better in every way for me. Like hitting a driver off the deck with consistency and distance.
Can you let us know which shaft and flex you used please, it would be a big help as a lot of us probably swing at the same speed as you and not always abke to get fitted, great video. 👍
Amusing that the G440 4w is lofted at 17 degrees but the G425 5w (which I play) is lofted at 17.5 degrees. Would be fun to see if there was any difference in performance between the two. Although one big difference is that the G425 5w is LOUD
Ping are worth the $ investment as they always perform and built quality is the best. I took the cheap root with my hybrids, then plunked down money for two new ones that out perform anything that I've ever had. Are you able to test the Ping 2 hybrid vs 4 or 5 wood? It's 17 degree but adjustable by +/- 1.5.
How about a direct comparison between G440 Max and G430 Max & 10K…? From what I’ve seen, and there are only comparisons by long hitters, there seems to be no gain, in fact one showed significant losses in distance due to G440 higher spin rate, but as the reviewer noted low swing speeds might find those distances reversed as they benefit from the spin.
Andy I hate to disagree with you but your club head speed is near 90 mph, I was under the impression the ping considered any this then club head speed of 75 mph to be a slow swing speed.

Same! I’ve got a G15 Draw 4-wood. My son inherited my G15 irons. Both are in pristine condition. The quality is 2nd to none. 👍
All channels complained about the head covers.

You have an absolute winning bag set up!
What are the lofts on the retro settings?
Ping got a nice line up 2025
Agreed 👍
I’ve ordered one. Been looking for one for years. Never liked a 3 wood much but love my Ping 5,7,9 woods and hybrids. The 4 will be a great addition.
@@Steve-jq4st pretty sure you will be happy
Got a G440 4H because the soles of all the other brands look to be a nightmare to clean. Ping's 2025 design is very clean and looks easy to clean.

Wise words as always.
I believe they also have loft adjustment of +-1.5 degrees. So added versatility for those interested in that.

I’m wondering if they’re going to bring out a mini driver?

I can tell you the noise has been reduced significantly but unsure about the performance difference

Start of video at 0.29 is the drive every average golfer is searching for. Look at those numbers 🙌🏻

Which golf ball are you gaming these days?

His club speed is above average.
