DC Blue Advanced E.T. garage motor not working

Garage motor suddenly just stopped working, showing nothing on the display board. It seemed like a power issue from a distance, but it took quite some time to figure out, given that we got supplied a faulty transformer. the transformer must have resistance on both primary and secondary circuits.
