I bought a brand new Suzuki 450 with a Yoshimura pipe out the door for $6800. I promise you 98% of the people reading this cannot ride this Suzuki any faster or slower than any other bike on this list. Also, if you are not riding Supercross you can simply blister some of these $11,000 bikes. Has a lot more to do with Rider than the bike. I am 59 years old and could not be more happy with the Suzuki. I’m never going to do a triple but I can have just as much fun maybe more for half the price. Think about it before you go and buy a motorcycle you cannot handle or ride to its full potential….. just saying

The new Hondas have an odd color red. Your right the GASGAS looks far better + better engine/clutch/transmission. KTM group brands hard to beat & worth the $.
I think Kawasaki took steps forward in handling/geometry for their MX in 2003 with their KX250. Since then you never heard anyone complain about kawi's overall handling. I had a 94 and 00' before my 03 and the pre 03 had to be forced into turns. This is of course in stock form. All were stock and the 03 turned on rails.@@RIDEreviewRELOAD
What are you talking about? The Suzuki hasn't updated much of anything in the last decade, far behind the parts on other bikes, yet only 1,000 less than a Kawi. Not worth it imo.
What Josh said. Suzuki is way too expensive for a 10 year old design. If they are not going to spend the money to update it. Then it shouldn’t be more than 5k out the door. Same molds and assembly line. They are not putting money into the bike, we should have to pay almost the same as the other brands
That may be the case, but I assume Kawi wanted to make their power more useable. Most power in the class means nothing if you can't control it and Febrve seemed to have zero issues waxing the field in MXGP. 450's these days are almost too fast. I know I'm faster on my 350 than I was on the 450.

Adding weight is not acceptable in this arena. Yamaha woke up, dropped weight, made a huge diff. 5-10 lbs. is a lot. Try to lose 5-10 and see what it costs!
Imagine if Suzuki came out with a factory edition that have a KYB set up off of the rmz250 put on electric start an a ported head they could get n the top 3
Thank you for not taking the pay day for putting brand x on all the bikes, and testing them with their respective oem tires! I totally ignore and thumbs down the testers who sell out and then make the excuse "to keep things fare / consistent, we outfitted them all with brand x"
@motomania128 , yes, and many friends have. They are notoriously less reliable. It is even mentioned in many shootouts. A big one is their use of cheap hardware. They've gotten better over the years, but they're still near the bottom.
I personally think the poor reliability card on the kx’s is overplayed. I hear of stuff and see things on other bikes don’t think reliability is an issue on modern kawasakis.
The husky has less suspicion travel, meaning the rear shock mounts are in a different location so yes the frame is different. Also different sub frames
The price point is always the issue. Not everybody who buys one will ride it to its full capability. 11k is a bit much for a sport that is seasonal, depending on where you live. I ride street bikes as well and average is 11k it's no way to justify paying the same price.
Just get rid of them and build 2 strokes. These sound like hell and they’re not even true racing engines. Part of the art of motocross is handling a 2 stroke. We want to hear them rip.
There is a reason why they never compare power wise old with new kx or KTM..2009 Vs 2024..probably old ones was more powerful and brutal..they mellow them now and they confused us with some talk about who and some crank hp..the 09 kx was 53whp plus ..60hp crank..only 19 crf450 I think hit 60hp crank

They wanted to get this video done before the new Chinese Kove 450mx & 250mx got released it looks like a game changer its lighter, more HP, if u ask me it looks bad ass! Oh yeah & to top it off only costing around $3,800 I can't wait
I wish these bike shootouts were done on a national prep track with ruts and loam. Glen Helen with some water looks like it could be ideal, but with how dry and hard it looks, it reminds me of redbud from the 90’s. Swap moto’s shootout is the worst this year. Those dudes are at cahulia (spelling?) and it’s as flat and dry as a highway.
I love Honda but i bought a husqvarna 450 from 2020 and i dont think that a 450 is all that fun you can literally use third gear all around the track it’s kinda boring at least in my humble opinion
I always loved Suzuki too back in 2016 I got a new rmz450 and man that bike was the best bike in the corners, but I really hope For 2025 we get a fully updated bike with electric start! Thats would be sweet 💪

New KX450F is much slower than last yr. All have said. They will have tough yr in '24 moving bikes.

Suspension stinks stock. It's an unbalanced chassis. Engine is fine. Not a Honda fan overall. Too many tradeoffs vs other brands like KTM & Yamaha.

Suzuki made a rmx450z for a couple years. 2017/2018 or something. Had a headlight, electric and kick start. No one bought them so they went away 🤷🏻♂️

I had an FMF muffler fall off my bike on the track once on my 2016 and they were blaming the kx for that lol

Yeah, didn't they switch to the hybrid subframe this year? The husky always had it, But KTM and gas gas added it for 2023 correct.
If your not a pro rider any 450 has plenty of power and great bikes .
