majority of buyers are not young top A/B class riders. most are Vet riders. This is an appropriate platform for the real market. you can always power up.

As a has been "A" rider and now a much older, slightly fatter VET rider... I approve this message.

@@BrianArdizoni23 Vet rider here as well & i concur 100% though this all new Kawi 450 bein heaviest in class is disappointing 😞. Yamaha has all best Kawi attributes w/better power. KTM as well. -NW Ohio

I’m not even in a class or my class has yet to be determined I guess but I bought the bike and though it’s stiff for my 135 pound body everything else has been pretty impressive, I’ve only rode Honda and Suzuki 450’s that weren’t mine so little to go off but so far the bike has been a dream. After I get the suspension tuned for my weight, I’ll definitely be getting a full exhaust to open her up and let her bark!

This is by far the best review of the 2024 kx450.
There is not an even comparison with some other magazines.
Its like they talk about another motorcycle. Thank Racer x and kris keefer 🙏🙏👍👍

I really like the direction in which Kawasaki went- a step towards ordinary users, not just racers. I’m super amped for this bike and you guys made me wanna ride it even tho I’m 100% sure that it would be too strong for me. Cool that you brought Eddie as he had interesting approach on how bike is made and what might be different when it comes to maintenance. As always, top quality content. Thank you Kris and RacerX.

Thanks for the feedback Kris! I appreciate the work you do for the industry! This may be my last bike as the old body doesn't have too many more track days in it. =/

I’m faster on my 23 KTM 350 SX-F than I was on my 22 KX450 and some of that is due to the KTM being 17 pounds lighter

Nice review fellas! Just bought the 24 450X last night for approx 40% off MSRP. Sounds like I made a good choice, I’m basically a weekend warrior so the low end power issue is no problem. Can’t wait to ride it!!

It's wild how the new bike feel is very similar amongst media but so conflicting about what is different on the new bike. Some say fork is the exact same and others saying the only thing the same is the spring rate. Ping only one to mention all the changes resulting in fork friction reduced by 80%, thus coatings were now absent. Here the 24 now $10,199 but all other word is $10,499 before destination charges confirmed on Kawi site.

@@jonathondavis170 Ended up buying the KX450SR and testing it at Motobross Okechobee, FL. From the first lap, I felt completely comfortable on the bike. She is VERY predictable, you can steer her with the throttle on corners and VERY planted. Within two lap, I was already clearing the triple and every section, given it was my first time in that track. It gave me a sense of confidence that the KTM did not. Also, each moto was 15 mins. Since 9am till 3pm, I executed a total of 6 motos and not a single time did I experience arm up, the chasis is phenomenal! Overall, very happy with the purchase. Thank you for your feedback. :)

  • @dogger2186

What I need it is a BIKE that is not build for MIDGETS and can fit someone over 6'4"without uber mods/$$$ to open the up the cockpit. A wider frame so you can actually grip with your knees. Last bigger frame bike was the 2004 CRF450 was great! Even with drop pegs/mounts, X-Trig Clamps and taller bars still feel like I am going to fall over the bars jumping when leaning hard forward!
