It’s been my dream car since I was 12, so I’ve worked in construction with my dad on the weekends and almost every day of ever summer break, as well as being an honors student, and now I finally got one at the age of 18, it’s a v6 but I’m still proud to own it.
I'm about a week out from getting my first challenger (a V6 as well) at 18 and from honor student to honor student we deserve it. (I graduated yesterday and even though this was commented a year ago we both still deserve it)
If you want to be able to have some good "passing" power opt for the 6.4L. Has usable power and with some blizaaks it handles fantastically in the winter
I swear to god.....as soon as Alex said ''u wanting to own, a Dodge Challenger'' and then the beat dropped with the sickest skid of all time, I got goosebumps instantly.
As a Challenger Scatpack owner, I'd like to pass on a little info to the modding community. 1. The 6.4 platform (Scat or SRT) is highly optimized from the factory. Your basic air flow mods will not gain you much in HP. 2. The 6.4 hates boost. you'll need to fully build the bottom end to handle anything over 6psi. (safley) This means you'll be spending Hellcat money to beat a Hellcat. 3. The best NA gains you'll see are with a cam, headers and a tune. Unfortunately, to add a cam you'll need to pull the motor. Once again, your looking at close to Hellcat money. with all that being said, I love my Scat. It's super reliable great highway cruiser and it looks so menacing on the street, especially in Plumb Crazy Purple.
@@xlex.the.menxce most reliable shops will pull the motor. Hemi is not built like an LS where you can just slide the cam in. On the Hemi cars you need to completely open up the motor and pull the heads off.

I am not a dodge guy at all, but I have to agree with Alex. I love dodge for sticking to their guns and keeping the car exactly what it’s supposed to be. They do a fantastic job at being a muscle car
2020 Challenger R/T owner and ever since my test drive (April last year) I’ve been smiling ever since. When you park and get out and walk away, if you don’t look back, you’re driving the wrong car!
@@CG-zj2zh I've got the V6 so it gets good mileage and it still scoots pretty good too! I can avg around 27 hwy with normal driving and 22-23-ish around town or from hard driving. It's got the highway-geared rear end ratio so it rarely breaks traction flooring it from a full stop but the revs are super low at highway speeds which helps the gas mileage.
I own a 2018 Dodge Challenger and I can tell you personally that this car is amazing. Mine may only be a GT so just the V6 but being that it is one of the few trim levels that gives you AWD it is still amazing. Winter is ridiculous the fact you can do controlled drifts in the snow when you want to but also be able to handle bad weather conditions on the way to work makes it a great car. I recently installed a cold air intake and a new axle back exhaust(to lose those 25lb mufflers) and now it sounds as loud and mean as the V8 trims. the GT also comes with the Dodge Blacktop 19" rims which are beautiful. I promise if you get one you will smile every time you walk to your car.
I've stopped mid-sentence on more than one occasion to gawk at a passing Hellcat and revel in that heavenly exhaust note. This car will always hold a special place in my heart and it's the car I'd snag quick as blinking if I was ever given the opportunity.
I drive a 6.4 392 scatpack with a shaker and have never had more fun driving a car! These scatpacks can beat Hellcats in 0-60 a lot of the time. You can feel all that weight when you are driving this car and it just feels amazing. This is what true American muscle is supposed to feel like!

I bought mine brand new back in August of last year. 2018 Challenger and I still love driving it to this day. Plus it looks really sexy in Plum Crazy ;)
I bought a 2016 Challenger SXT+ and lemme tell you... the V6 with 305hp and all the sexy styling of the car puts endless smiles on your face. Do your research, but you won’t regret buying this car!
Badass car in all ways. They are fun to drive and sound awesome. Corvette and Camaro don’t sound this good unless they have a performance exhaust on them or the exhaust has been modified. They usually don’t sound this good stock. Back in the day, vettes and Camaros were muscle cars as well. Now they have watered them down to Sports Cars and are missing the nostalgia of years ago. Dodge has done a remarkable job with the Challenger in bringing back the true fever for owning a muscle car
@@StoicOutlaw17 I guess that yes it is sadly just I who does that. To be fair though, in the part of the Tax Hell hole COVD-19 capital of Europe (also know as Sweden), in the area where I live you pretty much never see chargers or challengers. Mostly because "some what affordable premium American cars" are marked up way above their class in the BMW and Mercedes price range. (I'm not talking the lowest base of the base model Germans ether, but rather pretty decently optioned out mid level compared to a V6 Charger or Challenger).
Im 25 and fell in love with these things with the 3rd gen, it was my dream car and finally got one when I was 23 and still have it now it's just a little 5.7 hemi but got I love driving her every day and still get a smile when I look at it
Got an 2010 SRT8 for $20k flat last year with clean title and 65k miles and even had tasteful upgrades like cai, borla mufflers, pirreli p zero tires on aftermarket 20” wheels Diablo ecu tune, lowering springs, powerstop brake kit, tints, etc. Just paid it off and got my title, time for a hellcat😈
My Challenger is a V6 and I floor it at every green light.. I paddle shift down and floor it around corners 😆.. so much fun. 305hp is not enough to get in too much trouble.. Love going on road trips because of the big trunk.. I can fit people in the back seat. I drove 6 hours to Atlanta for the weekend. Cost $120 in gas because I use regular Gas 🤣 not to mention I only get 16 MPG with my V6 the way I drive... For me this 2019 Challenger GT Plus is incredible.. my only regret is not getting the AWD GT... I was looking at the AWD GT but Dodge didn't offer it at the time with 245/45 tires.. the AWD GT came with the smaller tires 😂.. thus I went RWD GT and opted for the bigger tires. Next year 2021 I'll be upgrading... I'm stuck between the AWD Challenger GT or the R/T Shaker 😆.
Working valet a customer handed me the red key to his hellcat when he had both on him. Although I was standing speechless with excitement I know he knew by my eyes watery with joy I was saying "thank you for this opportunity."
He should have touched on the ZF 8-speed they put on the 2015+. Has been one of the best geared and engineered transmissions on the market since it came out and still is today.
My widebody hellcat is my favorite of all the cars I have owned to date. Definitely much better when bagged, static low in my area is pretty rough. My bagged scat pack was also a very awesome car.
I live in Western Pennsylvania and that means, high gas tax, snow, hills, traffic, and just enough back roads to have fun on. I decided to go with the SXT AWD Model. So far it’s been everything I wanted. I have zero issues in the winter and my mpg stays between 25 and 28 on avg. I went with the SXT over the GT because I didn’t need the extra bells and whistles. One day I hope to go and get something with a bit more power than the SXT. But there is something special about being able to play around in all types of weather that makes it fun.
I have owned a challenger since 2013....currently own a 2016 hellcat.....all fat boat jokes aside...this car even makes my gm/Ford friends smile and get all giddy when I mash the pedal at 40 and send it up to 140+ in short order.

this man actually talking about runescape and cars... sub'd lmfao
Tbh I’ve been on a 2 month journey tryna purchase the perfect Challenger RT within my price range. I haven’t been having luck & I’ve felt really discouraged recently which made me look at other cars but seeing this video reassured me to not give up. Thanks Alex 🤙🏾
Don't settle. If it's your dream car, work hard and stay focused until you own it. You can do it! The global car community is pulling for you!
Maelstrom8 I appreciate the words fam 🤙🏾🤙🏾
@@SwagSoHandsome did you get it?
In the same position right now, I know what I want but not what to pay, when to or how to get it.
Anyone still looking to buy an rt in manual? Black on black. 2016 rt plus
I bought mine brand new back in August of last year. 2018 Challenger and I still love driving it to this day.
Plus it looks really sexy in Plum Crazy ;)
I love my 2013 Challenger RT. No it’s not the fastest car on the road but it’s fast enough for me 😁
I bought a 2016 Challenger SXT+ and lemme tell you... the V6 with 305hp and all the sexy styling of the car puts endless smiles on your face. Do your research, but you won’t regret buying this car!
Congrats on 500k I just subbed at 499k so glad so be here.
❤️
Love this car drove 5 of them about to get my own for the first time can't wait to have it
I'm back! And requesting "So you want a Honda Accord V6"
6mt
Trust me. You want one. I have a 17 coupe 6mt.
No, we don’t want one
This!
Fudge that
Badass car in all ways.
Is it just me who regularly mixes up the Charger and Challenger?
Yes
@@StoicOutlaw17 I guess that yes it is sadly just I who does that.
To be fair though, in the part of the Tax Hell hole COVD-19 capital of Europe (also know as Sweden), in the area where I live you pretty much never see chargers or challengers. Mostly because "some what affordable premium American cars" are marked up way above their class in the BMW and Mercedes price range. (I'm not talking the lowest base of the base model Germans ether, but rather pretty decently optioned out mid level compared to a V6 Charger or Challenger).
Nah bro i do it to, the front end is what tells it to me tho
Im 25 and fell in love with these things with the 3rd gen, it was my dream car and finally got one when I was 23 and still have it now it's just a little 5.7 hemi but got I love driving her every day and still get a smile when I look at it
just bought one today and I love it. What do you think about ceramic coating?
U got the srt? How's the car holding up
Got an 2010 SRT8 for $20k flat last year with clean title and 65k miles and even had tasteful upgrades like cai, borla mufflers, pirreli p zero tires on aftermarket 20” wheels Diablo ecu tune, lowering springs, powerstop brake kit, tints, etc. Just paid it off and got my title, time for a hellcat😈
I’m unsure when but I just peeped the 500k. Congrats ‼️‼️
Finally I get my episode!!!
I honestly wished more companies could do the same thing Dodge does with bringing out the Hellcat and the Demon.
Need more rivalries.
Such a great video! Thanks for making it, it made me smile as much as driving a Challenger does. You've summed up this car perfectly
"We are not here to talk about the history of these cars" after 7 min of history of a 10 min video
I was literally playing Runescape when those tires were lookin' to hack me
I have owned a challenger since 2013....currently own a 2016 hellcat.....all fat boat jokes aside...this car even makes my gm/Ford friends smile and get all giddy when I mash the pedal at 40 and send it up to 140+ in short order.
I'm only 13 but when I'm an adult I want one of these as my car. I love them so much
U gotta work n save ur money time passes by so fast
WANNA REALLY GOOD LOOKING CAR WITH A SHIT TON OF HORSES BUT FEEL LIKE YOU WANNA DIE EVERYTIME YOUR TURN? LOOK NO FURTHER. THE CHALLENGER IS HERE FOR YOU!!!! WITH MORE HORSES PER BEER THAN ALL THE OTHER COMPETITORS, CHALLENGER IS HERE TO SEE YOU WIN OR POSSIBLE DIE! BUY! BUY! BUY!!!!!!
So I'm sitting in my bed looking at RT classics for sale and watching you talk about challengers seems like deja vu....
Did you all use this stock footage before?
Don’t listen 2 “ACE” RT are hella fun
I have an R/T classic the 5.7 is a bad bitch. You wont regret it.
Most retro to its roots looking modern-day muscle car out there.
Found a manual hellcat with lifetime Powertrain and I’m really thinking about it 👀
Damn I’d get just because the lifetime power train warranty
I currently have a v6 Charger but the goal is a Challenger Scat Pack. Hands down one of if not, the best lookin vehicle on the road today in my opinion.
I have a 2013 challenger rt first owner love that car fast fun and safe
How’s the transmission on it? I’ve been researching them and have heard that pre-2015 challengers have dodgy (he he) transmission that are outdated.
@@axelramirez7337 it's okay I have charger rt it's the same 5 speed but as long as you don't beat on it you'll be fine
@@MrBloodguns who doesn't beat on these cars 😂
