Because all Men are equal and free, no one can rule another without the consent of the people. Consent is a fundamental principle of a free government, therefore it has significant implications for the form of government to be adopted.
Discover the profound truths of the Constitution in an entirely new way through Hillsdale College’s “Introduction to the Constitution.” Find yourself at the table with Dr. Larry Arnn, as he teaches his students the principles of liberty. Experience the lively discussions that take place as students explore the implications and beauty of our Constitution.

We have all made horrible mistakes of omission with our children. Just realize that love for your child is basic and impossible to deny. Unfortunately, it is probably to late to be an active parent any longer. Hopefully with some guidance and open discussion from afar they can still be brought around but as long as they have basic values their is still hope.

Even Hillsdale gets some things WRONG.
All MEN (the plural of a MAN, does not include women, children, savages, similar) are created equal.
We were not a ship's company. We were not in the military as a 'group of men'.
Hillsdale includes women and others in their definition of MEN.
And that is not the definition our founders meant.

The democracy cult = a lot of humans give consent for the entire population to be forcibly controlled aka governed. Forcible control of the governed with the consent of a third party.
Ex, your neighbor gives consent for another human to come and rob you. The neighbor is too scarred to do such thing himself so he relies on thugs employed by "government" to do it for him. For if he did it he would be a criminal, but if the government sanctioned employee does it then its suddenly moral and justified due to the belief in authority.

    • @ivaketiv
      @ivaketiv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Yes however the Constitution was meant to bind those in government as much as it does the governed, by putting limits on power. Rulers who think they know better than the citizenry regarding what is good for them are prone to abusing their power. This is something to be vigilant of no matter one's politics.

A presumption of contract is fraud.
Unless you give informed consent it is fraud.
Can a landlord PRESUME certain elements in a rental contract or does it have to be in writing?
Even leases have the terms (all of them) listed in that contract and you have time to review the terms before signing.
Landlord cannot presume you gave consent.
Rule of thumb: if it ain't in writing, it don't count.
It is not consent is presumed, it is consent is ASSUMED.

When you sign your voting slip, driver's license, any 'contract' with the government (federal or state), you write without prejudice, all rights reserved.

The term "Consent of the Governed" is an OXYMORON. Here's why:
    **Definition of "Consent"**
    - Consent means a voluntary agreement to or approval of what is done or proposed by another. It implies a free choice made without coercion.
    **Definition of "Governed"**
    - To be governed means to be subject to the authority and control of a governing body or authority, which enforces its rules and decisions through coercive means.
    **The Contradiction**
    1. **Coercion Inherent in Government**:
    - Government inherently operates through coercion. Laws, taxes, and regulations are enforced through the threat of violence or punishment (e.g., fines, imprisonment). This contradicts the notion of consent, which requires voluntary agreement free of coercion.
    2. **Lack of Genuine Choice**:
    - For consent to be valid, individuals must have the genuine option to refuse. In the context of government, individuals cannot opt out of being governed without facing consequences. This lack of a real choice undermines the idea that their compliance is consensual.
    3. **Social Contract Fallacy**:
    - The concept of the social contract suggests that people implicitly consent to be governed by living within a certain territory. However, implicit consent is not the same as explicit, voluntary consent. Many individuals never explicitly agree to the terms imposed by the government, and their continued presence in a territory is not necessarily an endorsement of the government’s authority.
    4. **Consent of the Majority vs. Individual Consent**:
    - Even if a majority consents to a government, it does not mean that every individual within that society consents. True consent must be individual, not collective, and should respect the autonomy of each person. Majority rule can lead to the imposition of the will of the majority on the minority, which again contradicts the principle of voluntary consent.

Telling us what we could do is not telling us HOW to do.
And what to write and who to send it to.
Since income and property taxes require you to consent to be governed, then withdrawing that consent should negate the obligation to pay either.
Power to tax comes from the government who in turn requires your consent to force you to pay taxes. LOL
Just think; withdraw your consent to be governed and you no longer need a DRIVER'S LICENSE. (well you weren't supposed to need it anyway).
Withdrawing consent is not freedom to commit atrocities and such. You still are under common law and natural law. It is just that the government can't legitimately enforce those laws nor punish you.

Excellent video, great production quality, Dr. Larry Arnn was very moving with his soft-spoken demeanor. Unfortunately, he's like an old fool who keeps recounting mythical stories of old, thinking that they apply today. What is said in theory, appears to make sense but there is a DISTINCT contrast when you look at the real-world effects. Yes, it is remarkable that we were one of the first countries to question authority, but the fact that they still thought it'd work is the folly of man, putting our well-being in the hands of others. Thinking that when another human being is granted special rights he won't abuse it. The actual concept of another ruling over another is just flat-out immoral, but the founding fathers never saw it that way. The idea of consent of the governed undermines individuals who wish to live contrary to the supposed ''laws''.
