These tones are incredible!
holy cow! now I'm afraid to demo this ;)
I can't wait!!! :D
Hay bass the world how do I get my videos uplaoded on your page
All I can say is oof, that whole setup is beatiful.
Easily my favorite pedal of the last couple years.
Thanks, bro! :D
I don't know any other guy who loves synth more than Nathan does.
It's become a sickness really. :)
Matt Bellamy of Muse also loves synth quite a lot.
Chris Wolstenholme used synth pedal in every Muse song
maybe Nick Reinhart?
Vangelis
Sounds like an army of robots are farting in my ears.
But I like it.
Sure seems like it's generating the smell also as the player's facial impression 90% of time.
All they eat is cotton candy.
You had fun with this! Very cool, Nathan. I enjoy demo videos like this where the player makes good choices of music that will make the most of the chosen synth voice. Well done, Nathan!
Never have I seen a synth pedal this wicked
Dude........sick. Nice work!!! Source audio knocks it out of the park yet again
This is actually pretty nuts.
Never liked any other synth pedals but this wild.
Mind blowing bass player
Thanks, bro! :D
Remco blows him out of the water but he's still okay I guess
@@Halvcorp didn't know this was a competition. Both are awesome in their own right
Dude that’s sick. Idk how I missed this!?!
Great timing! Ive been watching and reading all about this synth pedal and i must own it!
Awesome tones coming outta that thing man!
Thanks, Louie!
Just ordered this pedal.. can't wait....Cool playing n sounds 🤘
I sold my EHX Mono Synth and ordered this. Amazing that is has 4 voices!!!!
@@MisterQueue67 Yes, definitely..it excels at fat synth tones and things envelope stuff..Since I got it I've ventured more into ambient bass territory and it's not that good for ethereal pad stuff.. Actually I've just ordered a Boss SY 1 because it has a lot of pad and string/organ sounds.....But Il always keep my C4 if I want to let loose on fat riffing...
what Muse is like
Definitely a lot of Muse sounds in there. Royal Blood too. And Bootsy. And NIN. and. and. and...
More like deeper underground jamiroquai
Time is running out
this is the monster! And I also refer to the C4.
I JUST bought a bitcrusher 1hr ago. Thanks guys. Off to buy another
Love the little Trace Elliot. Love the Trace sound.
Nathan, can you do something to demonstrate the polyphonic tracking? I'm curious to see how well that works - not just for chords, but to see how my sloppier playing days might suffer. :)
Been waiting for this to come out. Great stuff, sequencing and overall hardsteppin shit, Natty. Looking forward to the user experience ;)
What a cool bass!👍
Mine’s coming next week. Take my money! So badass!
Awesome demo, Nathan. 😎🤘🏻🎸 This synth pedal sounds incredible. I’ve been thinking about purchasing the c4 synth sometime soon.
Amazing!!
Thanks, Carl! :D
That is the most amazing sounding bass I have ever heard you rock
Like it. More videos of this bass banter
Hey Nathan which do you prefer: Future Impact or C4?
Source Audio, this video is a cash grabber !!
AWESOME !!!!!
I'm buying I'm buying I'm buying I'm buying I'm buying
I'm sold
OMG I want that!!! Great Device, great presets, great playing. Count me in for buying one.
this is a pedal i don't usually use, but it's a good secret weapon. that's a wonderful setup, though!
Coming to a Muse gig near you soon lol. Probably the best pedal of that type I’ve heard. Hands down !!!
Bro, ur a beast
Thanks, Diego! :D
The bass world must be telling me to add this synth pedal to my board, since there are two reviews of this baby on the same day, same time, by my two favorite bass channels 🤣
Did you add it?
Awesome !! I need it now !!!
Mine arrived minutes ago, can't wait to plug it in :D
Sweet man btw that bass tone so cool and I have subbed to you and Notifications and liked
Source Audio is fucking amazing
Hello, question, how hard is it to pre-set custom settings on this pedal PRE show for live gigs without the 4 channel interface portion as seen mid way in this demo? Mainly, I guess, as a one pedal on my board because of lack of room is why I ask or else I would try the extra 3 or 4 channel source audio line selector if I'm not mistaken that's what that is being used in this video about midway. Thanks in advance to anyone who knows the answer. And as always, love the content, keep up the great content and of course LIKED & SUBSCRIBED!
My next Pedal . . . 100%
Hey Nate, what is the signal flow there? You have the expression pedal and the midi-controllers... but like, how are they all put together. And does the midi hubs/controller allow you to access more than 6 settings at a time?
Thank you.
Source audio owes you money because you sold this shit. I'm going to own one.
🤯🤯🤯
Right?! Am I right?!
@@NateNavarro dude I NEED one!
PS: Miss ya, homie!
@@patrickhunter Looking forward to next time, mang! :D
Как всегда, всё на высоте!
More than the pedal I was looking at the red bass. It is beautiful.... but where are the pickups?
Dubstep stompbox 🔥
Ok this is too good.
Loved the patches on the desktop software. Just waiting for Source Audio to release the Midi adapter to connect it to my midi rig. Do you use it live?
i wish i knew how you get the sound at 1:26
That is beyond awesome lol
Wow! I need or want that!!!!
Sweet!
What patch is at 2:37?
Sounds like “SpeedDemon” by M.J.
Sooooo phat!
that's awesome.
After trying a few Different Synth pedals this is the one I want Bigtime.
Hey Nathan, any chance you can give me a quick comparison between this and the Future Impact I? (which I bought after watching your previous videos on it) First impressions would appear that it might track even better, and the fact that it can even touch polyphony is a huge plus in general, although not as gamebreaking for bass players. It looks like it also has similar tone sculpting options on computer, but the biggest deal might be the 4 voice options. Thoughts?
Hi Mark, The tracking is the best I've seen - imperceivable latency and it follows dynamics much better than all the synths I've used. The editor is intuitive, flexible, and powerful for creating a variety of sounds from scratch. The four voices really open things up. Less than half the price of the FI too.
The arpeggio patches have definitely sold me. I need this pedal.....and that bass. What bass is that?
this blows off all the POGS synth
One pedal to do it all.
To rule them all
Damn!..not bad!!..not bad at all!...tones are usable & tracking seems fine....🤔My trusty ol’Boss ME-50b ,..Boss Bass Synth 3,...the Digitech Bass Synth,..Roland SY-1 & this Audio C4 May be all I’ll need to cover Synth tones!!...(..and won’t need no’mo’...!!) 🎸🎵🎶👍🏾
wow, I think it is great
keep sharing great video =D
Tq
Thanks, Tq! :D
And that's why I bought one... F'n killer crazy...
HUGE
what MIDI controller is it?
First the Boss SY-1 and now the Source Audio C4. How the hell will my wallet survive 2019?
i think that midi control would make the difference over the SY-1, i suspect it to be gimiky after some time. and using more than one setup live should be difficult... Good luck with it source audio!
Don't forget Meris Enzo... It's not from 2019, but...
2:09 I think I finally learned how the song from 'Army of Me' by Bjork came to be!
Buy once , cry once . That’s my motto :)
Whats a good one thats cheaper?
Its still good for hot hand 3? C4 is the new version of manta soundblox bass filter?
That is cool.
What's the preset controller?
INCREDIBOL!!!
Hey Nate how you connect the soleman with C4 using the SA-160 direct into the jack in the left side of using the hub? Thanks!
That intro tone hurt my ears mann. Still Awesome!
that's a real bass face, dig it!
that's ridiculous... .............I want one!
One question can get total control just c4 synth + soleman midi
Great demo! Your synth stuff was my inspiration for buying one of these... I'm currently trying to make a patch that sounds like The Prodigy "Omen" but I'm in over my head! Any pointers?
I'm ready for a lot of new synthesizers that sound just like guitars
Excellent ☆☆☆☆☆
How does this compare to the future impact?
What would you suggest, in terms of pedal order, when it comes to the C4 and Spectrum pedals?
Does it have good presets built in or do you have to use a computer on the side?
What are you using to switch banks?
Can you create presets and put them on the pedal and then playings thoses without a pc ?
What can’t you sell me on, first the after shock now this. Is there an official release date yet?
Its in stores now!
Fun sounds, but I wouldn’t know how to use them in a song 😅
Loops, loops and more loops
Hi Nathan, I love it ! What bass guitar do you use for this video please?
Thanks, Nicolas! It's a Willcox Saber Bass with HexFX.
Source Audio: Why make 10 pedals of the same effect when we can just make one pedal and let users do whatever the heck they want with it?
SonicXRage ...you're talking about communism . I like the concept of Capitalism, that lets me choose the
specific. Company and pedal features that I want.
@@jamiemorgan4146 I'm all for capitalism. I just think it's funny how Source Audio basically has one pedal for each effect while other brands make several different ones with different tonal possibilities. I like that, but between this pedal and the new Boss synth pedal, I'd go for the Boss first because I prefer its simplicity and accessibility. It already has enough effects for me.
Hello Nathan I have not been able to find information on whether the pedal is monophonic or polyphonic, I mean, is it possible that recognizes a chord or just one note at a time?
Is that a Wilcox bass I see?
Indeed it is! The Willcox Saber Bass with HexFX.
Nathan Navarro such a clean looking design and it sounds great! Not to mention the main point of the video, the synth, which I will definitely picking up.
@@DJProfessorL Sweet! Yeah, the bass plays great too. I'm going to experiment with it's quintaphonic output (each string isolated) with five C4s in parallel. Enjoy your C4!
Hi Nathan
C4 with a Soleman enough to access 128 patches?
Or do I need more devices like the Neurohub?
Something else, is fretless bass possible?
Thanks in advance
Nathan, what is the name of the synth bass sound you used at the end of the video?
Hey, Sean! Nice speaking with you earlier. The sound at the end of the video is user, sifrancis - Synth Bass preset. In the Neuro Mobile App or Neuro Desktop Editor, go to the Community tab. Select the filter icon in the top right, and choose just the C4 to see only C4 presets. Next, select the magnifying glass icon and search, sifrancis. You'll see all of his presets there. :)
@@NateNavarro Pleasure speaking with you as well Nathan! Thanks for all your help today with my C4! That synth bass sound is awesome!
C4 or Future Impact V3? Preference??
Which tracks better???
hot hand3 compatible?
Can I use this pedal in chain with overdrive and or distortion? :P Just a curious :P
How do you get the synth waveforms to be polyphonic I have the pedal but chords don't track on square or saw
Hey Nathan, I'm a bass music (dubstep, DnB, Riddim, Neuro) producer and I'm looking to weave my bass guitar into my music for the drops to add human expressiveness and the ability to improv on stage...so my question is: Does Source Audio's C4 Synth work well with the Hot Hand? What sort of results can be produced? I'd love to see a demo of this, if that's possible?
Do you have to keep it connected to the computer to go beyond the presets, or are you able to load user-created patches onto the pedal for later, offline use?
Hi Nathan, how is the tracking when playing octaves (fast) like on many typical synth basslines? My current EHX Bass Mono Synth can‘t do it, so looking for an alternative
What's the name of the patch that you use at the end of the demo? It's very Squarepusher.
Finally a good demo for a synth pedal which shows the sounds and capability of the pedal, most would just play a standard rock riffs and calling it a day which doesn't do justice and even some are down right bad. Anyways how are the tracking on this thing? Does it handle well with chords since I'm very keen on getting this instead of the boss sy1
Thanks, Junaidi! The tracking is the best I've seen, but it is monophonic for all settings other than the polyphonic pitch shifter setting mode - check out 1:57 for an example. I definitely recommend try both units out and seeing which works best for you. I have the SY-300 and it sounds thin/hollow to me.
O my GOD! I want that...
Got one & hated it. It wasn't very user friendly at all...
Is it possible to build it up like this in a live situation, without having to have a phone up at the same time changing parameters as you play? lol
Actually I guess each 'part' could be set up as a separate preset, to just scroll through them
@Nathan Navarro I've been having MASSIVE tracking issues with this pedal. I'm coming from a Electro Harmonix Bass Synth pedal that was limited but sounded GREAT. Pretty frustrated...I have adjusting the tracking to "faster" but I can literally heard the pedal trying to figure out which note I hit on certain sounds...maybe I need to do another firmware update? Any suggestions?
The "faster" setting will trigger notes more quickly, but with less accuracy in some cases. Setting the instrument note range should help improve tracking. For you and anyone else looking for suggestions, you can reach out to Source Audio directly at contact(at)sourceaudio.net. :)
@@NateNavarro Thank so much! I like the pedal and have gotten some great sounds but also...some REALLY not great sounds! LOL! Thanks for your comments!
