    These presets you created are absolutely amazing! None of the other demos were really convincing me of this pedal, but now I might have to get one...

    That mono dirty filter sounds SOOOO good! Got huge John Mayer "I Don't Trust Myself With Loving You" vibes!

    4:14 - That's literally the most MASSIVE sound I've ever heard through my Audio Technia headphones....and I've owned them for many years, use them for everything, including guitar. For context, my I use an HM-2 and Super Fuzz, yet your synth tone here is so much more massive than even those beasts. I'm buying this pedal!

    • @seanmurrayguitar
      @seanmurrayguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Haha, thanks Anthony! The C4 has an amazing low end, so sounds massive when layered with the guitar! Running the synth to its own output helps too so that you get the full frequency spectrum.

  • @jframjams

    Dude, amazing sounds wow! Was literally not ready for that. Really searching for whether or not the C4 can do a plethora of clean, ambient, beautiful sounds. Would you say so? Cheers

    Nicely done Sean!!..👏🏾😄✨🎉🎈 I’ll be picking up the Source Audio C4 soon so,..We’ll both get to enjoy it’s awesoness‼️✨🎛🎈🤘🏾 I’m into it because I’m gonna do an Album/CD of original tunes featuring All Guitar Sounds (no Keyboards!!) Thus real interested in just what the SA-C4 has to offer. Yeah,..it’s pricey but for Cost/vs Performance,...I think it’s worth the investment!! The Boss SY-1 & Future Impact Pedals also have my interest as well but overall the C4 seems to do much more and is actually best for my needs. And the fact that you may also use it on Bass Guitar is awesomely excellent too! Anyway,..I’ve “Subbed” 🤘🏾so,..looking forward to seeing more Vids and perhaps converse on the C4 if you don’t mind! 🙏🏾🥺

      Awesome! The C4 is fantastic. Full of features and inspiration! Thanks for watching and subscribing, I really appreciate it! More videos on the way!

    Absolutely amazing sounds! Cant wait to try these out. What is your signal chain? For guitar Would it be better to run this at beginning of pedalboard but would have to be in mono.. or run it after drives right before wet stuff to be able to run it out in stereo? Thanks!

    Really enjoyed your demo and breakdown. Seriously considering this pedal. Can you build presets on the computer and download onto the C4? Don't always want to be tethered. Would use their new midi adapter, if it'll work.

    Can this C4 pedal get all the classic Qtron / John Mayer type of phat filter tones? Or would you say something like the Qtron would sound a litt but better for that

    Any video suggestions for even learning where to start making a preset?

    • @seanmurrayguitar
      @seanmurrayguitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Matt! Connecting the pedal to the Neuro Editor and exploring the various options is best place to start! For me, I had a knowledge of synthesis before using this pedal which helped, but I learned that over the years from experimenting and making many bad sounds before I could make great ones! Exploration and experimentation is key! Thanks for watching!

  • @WheezyLiam
    @WheezyLiam 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Aw man these are great. Does it track well? Last time I gave in to GAS I bought a Fishman TriplePlay and tbh I'm kinda disappointed. Feeling the desire to grab this bad boy but don't want to face the same disappointment again.

    • @seanmurrayguitar
      @seanmurrayguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Liam, thanks man! The tracking is really good! Because it's audio based and monophonic, you may still get the occasional glitch, but I was blown away by the tracking and low latency. Even if you run into any issues, the Neuro editor allows you to dial in the perfect amount of input sensitivity and gate amounts to suit your particular instrument or part, etc. The mono riffage patch, for example, I sometimes struggled to eliminate all glitches - but I found these were mostly from inaccuracies in my own playing (hitting multiple strings/string noise, etc)
      I imagine you would only get better performance from a midi pick-up based solution, but I haven't tried any myself.
      Thanks for watching and hope that helps!

      @220_hz4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've owned a C4 for around 7 months now. It is without a doubt the best tracking synth/octave/digital pedal I've ever played through, but like what Seán said, It can be a little finicky when there are stray overtones or if theres string noise getting into the signal. I've found that a high output guitar or bass with the tone knob all the way down provides the best tracking IME, but it's definitely still useable in every other situation. The C4 (for me) replaced 4 or 5 pedals, but I still want to get a Disaster Area MIDI controller to get the most function out of it. Being locked to 6 presets isn't my issue, it's having to bend down every time I want to switch something that gets annoying.
      All in all, It's a really powerful tool that can do a lot for you if you're into synthesis & filtering. I love mine

  • @sw7681
    @sw7681 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does your led flash red? I can't get mine to turn red while I try to set input unity gain

    • @seanmurrayguitar
      @seanmurrayguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! The LED flashes red when the optimum input level is reached. I adjusted a lot of these parameters using the Neuro App when creating the presets so I was using my ear. For lower output pickups, you night have to turn it up louder. Great thing is, if you're not getting high input gain, you can compensate with the output gain or the envelope sensitivity further down the chain. Very versatile!

    Why have the C4 in the effects loop instead of just at the beginning of the chain?

    • @seanmurrayguitar
      @seanmurrayguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Josh, as the Helix only has a mono input on the front of the unit, I placed the C4 in the effects loop so I could easily switch between mono or stereo routings on the C4. I find the pedal really comes to life when you explore the stereo options, especially for recording. Thanks for watching!

    @gwugluud ปีที่แล้ว

    I really didn't know this pedal was so dependent on outside software, and I've never got on well with computers. One must go to the computer, hope nothing's hinky as it doubtless would be 85% of the time, then do boring rocket surgery just to switch patches. Then when you want to try something else you must go through another book report on "War And Peace". Maybe this makes sense to flat-earthers born 6 months ago, but it seems ludicrous to me.

  • @MarkusWutte
    @MarkusWutte 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does anybody know if this pedal can be profiled with a Kemper? So I could create sounds with the pedal in the studio and take them on stage with the Kemper (for the ease of use). Thanks! :)
