I have had one for 6 months and it works great except when I am distracted and forget to put in the pin and then have to wait for the vehicle to reset before trying again. Other than that I like the peace of mind when I have to stay in an hotel with outdoor parking or leave my car in a parking lot for a while. Having had to deal with insurance for a car claim in the last 6 months left me with the fear of having to put a claim in for insurance for a stolen vehicle which justified this install. If my car was standard and not automatic. I would not worry about having one installed.
I'm always amazed how many homeowners packed their garages with crap and leave their $50k plus vehicle exposed in the driveway. If you have a garage where you can hide your vehicle, use it.
3:16 What I am curious is whether if this valet solution is universal for all individual systems, if not, is it easy to replicate. If yes, then it being the vulnerability would make this system useless.
No no no, this only works if a fraction of car owners pay 1k to have it installed. If this is implemented widely by the manufacturer, then thieves would find a way to go around it, and it would be useless. You gotta remember, nothing is impenetrable, the only way your car is safe from theft is because the your vehicle is harder to steal than its peers and it would be more cost effective for the thieves to just find another target.
Hi Durham Autohaus, I want to get this system installed by your garage. I just want to know what's the point of taking other precautions such as a faraday box when the vehicle can't be turned on without authentication with the IGLA system?
Reminds me of the early WRX PIN code starters. They were great until thieves realised there was a universal code that worked on every single WRX, designed that way so Subaru servicing would always be able to start them... This would be much better though!
The thieves came back last week and tried to steal my car again. I heard my window break and my car alarm started going off at 1:27AM. By the time I got dressed and went out there they were gone. They were able to turn it on in accessory mode but couldn't start my car. I have a motion sensing camera pointed from my bedroom to my car, and it has them on video. I called the police and they arrived within a half hour, and they took a report. Play asked me if I wanted to press charges and I said yes, but they probably won't find them. The motion sensing camera that I have alerts my phone, but I had headphones on so I didn't hear the notification. I called a mobile window repair weather on the day to fix my window. @@DBR00
Do not get this if you have a Honda CRV 2023. Worked like a charm for 3 months then 8 months a nightmare. Would take 2-3 times to get the car started. It completely drained the battery so I had to get Hinda road side assistance at least 10 times. It was a pain to say the least. Brought it back to the service company that installed it and they had my car for 4 days to investigate why this was happening. Got my car back and didn't drive it (winter storm) for 2 days and the battery was drained again. Had to get a boost from a neighbour. Went back to the service company and asked them to take it out. May work for awhile but then it konks out.
Is it a problem with Igla or is it a problem with your CRV? Some Hondas have been known to have problems with batteries draining due to a bad a/c relay. You can do a search for this problem on the internet and you will find reports of this problem all over the place.
? I don't believe there is anything that can prevent towing apart from steel bollards surrounding a vehicle, or it physically being chained to the ground
So these people are criminals right?? So now you leave them with little to no choice…..if they can’t find a bypass then next best, wait till the vehicle is running and demand you the driver show them the pass code…..then off they go!! No one will refuse with a weapon in their faces.
IGLA has carjacking protection. Requires the PIN code AFTER the car drives a bit. So you can run away and the car will come to a stop and then cut off. They can have the fob in the car too.

Does this splice into the car’s wiring system thereby voiding the warranty?
Every car should come thus equipped.

Do you have any shops in Chicagoland area?
How you temporary disarm (for example Valet mode, repair-shop etc) that system?

Hi Durham Autohaus team, Do you sell Igla 231 or Igla Pro?
Did you get the basic or premium package?
I'm getting this installed on Monday because my car was stolen a month ago. Luckily the police found it because it has GPS.
How’s the system working after the install? Seems like all the videos for this product is from the same channel/poster.

Does it currently work with NX350H 2024 model ? I heard its not update yet. Thanks
Yes, it does
Is this comes with remote start as well?
@@ymansky81 no that’s extra
I drive manual car so thieves can still put it in neutral and move it. Do you think it’s still worth it for me to install this?
I’m trying to find one in California, but no luck😫
Full Blown Performance on Manchester in LA by USC is the only place in LA that installs it.
I just spoke with someone in union city that does it. I’m going to make an appointment momentarily

Sounds like whoever you took it to didn’t install it correctly. We install these into our local Honda dealership vehicles with zero issues!
@DurhamAutohaus hi may I ask please where is your dealership? I in Ottawa. Thanks for your response!

Can the IGLA anti-theft system prevent unauthorized towing?

How much for a 2019 camry hybrid?
Hey guys any chance to install this device în UK? 😊
UK equivalent is the GHOST II
the problem I see is why I will buy a product that I can not find any installation video or procedure
Do you want thief’s to know how to uninstall it. Use your brain 🧠.
Does igla stop hotwiring
Most modern cars have immobilizers, so yeah.
Can’t the car theft just remove this device ?
Ok so where do I get this

If they can’t start it right off the bat they will go on to the next vehicle that’s easier to steal.

It's only a matter of time before they learn to uninstall this. If they can get in the car, they can unwire this
Takes too long. Thieves want to be in and out in 60 seconds or less. 5 minutes max. Time is your friend.
@@Megatron797 Why would they be in a hurry, it's not like the cops are coming. Cops don't even show up if you tell them your car is being stolen.
