I'm glad I found this, my car group has been recommending the Ravelco to stop thefts. I was watching a TH-cam video on cool car gadgets and found this device. I didn't like losing my remote start but had decided it was better than losing the car. Now when I get a new car I will be installing this. Their claim to fame was with 16 pins a thief would never figure it out. You have shown when there is a will there is a way. Thanks for the video.
I understand you have the right to challenge Raveco products or any product that claims to be a 100% theft deterrent. However, you can still make a video without every detail for car thieves. Car thieves browse TH-cam daily for videos like yours to stay ahead of people's hard-earned money that goes into these devices.
How would the world know just how easy it was if not for this video? An 'Intro to Electronics 101' student could bypass this device it's that rudimentary. A thief could just as easily rip that kick panel out and follow the wires to the disabling relay & jumper it. Probably less time than what's described in the video.
Brother, literally was going to get Ravelco. The funny part is the company was NOT getting back to me. Now I see your video and realize it’s meant to be that I avoid this system. Thank you for doing these videos.
Security through obscurity is not security. This should have never been released being this easy, if this is correct. While everyone is pissed at this guy and even if he has a conflict of interest, for the sake of the argument, the truth is the truth and announcing this is actually beneficial to the community. Ideally the manufacturer would have been contacted first to give them a chance to comment or fix.
Some of the more pro thiefs appear to be using ECU swap-outs to steal certain cars. Is the IGLA in any way dependent on the ECU? Would an ECU swap render the IGLA useless or would the car still be protected?
@pb24dagrk yea ok lol and where’s the video proof of that happening to validate your claim?? I’m looking all over for a vid can’t find anything. “Trust me bro” type of comment😂
I tried to contact IGLA, seems like it is a company in another country. I called the number and it said it is not in service... not sure if anyone had the same issue, im from California.
this is unlikely tho look at the hassle to by pass and the tools needed and knowledge this is still amazing anti theft agaisnt amateurs like black people
What I find most interesting about this video AND THE COMMENTS is how there are STILL no confirmed cases of a stolen vehicle by defeating the Ravelco System. Ravelco as is IGLA are not 100%, no system is all these systems are designed to have the thief say "fuck this I'll go to a softer target". If your truck or car is towed away ANY SYSTEM can be defeated by the average thief within a matter of hours. This video is staged, and a very good job he did doing it but it's fake, so I'll stick with my Ravelco until ONE confirmed case arises. This guy is a fake and a salesman for IGLA, another system that with time is also defeatable. Great salesman, a little shady, but a great salesman.
But there is many reported cases. Actually use your brain and research instead of pushing this false narrative. The funny part is you can find dozens of posts that say stolen vehicle with ravelco. But every single one thinks it was a tow. Yet no one confirms and or follows up. I assure you most are not via a tow truck and the unit is bypassed. Either at the plug like I showed. Or reversing the install. Which can also be done in a few minutes. You fan boys keep forgetting revelco has a road map. Wires to follow. What these legit videos show is I don’t even need to do any of that. Yes some people will say “fuck this” But when a vehicle is on their list as they do have lists. There won’t be a fuck this. I maybe someone selling Igla which is a superior product. But that’s not what it’s even about. This video was imitated because ravelco decided to compare their product to others. Just so happens I install Igla as well. The bullshit comments of its stages are just that bullshit. I will bet any single person to challenge it. But no one will. Because if I prove it to them their world will collapse. So you fan boys stating it’s staged put your money where your mouth is. I will do everything I did in either of these videos. In less than a minute as mentioned in the video. No prep.
You’re full of sit, and the only one here with any NARRATIVE at all is you; of course, so you can sell your “superior” product. I get it. I did use my brain and I did do my research, I have access to certain research regarding these issues that are far beyond post or chats, and zero confirm the theft by dismantling the Ravelco “on scene”. None! But my narrative is false because I say if there are thefts they must be by tow and you say not all thefts are by tow. Of course your narrative is true yet you have zero confirmation other than “oh look what I can do in a staged video”. There are confirmed thefts of vehicles with the IGLA system, of course those MUST be by tow? Of course!!! Dude, sell your IGLA for twice as much as the other products, that’s cool it’s your business I get it. But if the IGLA is so superior, why do you need to bash other products specifically RAVELCO? There are a million security systems out there, you need to state videos and bash the best because you want to be the best. IGLA is good, but too expensive, Ravelco is a much better buy for the money. To be the best you gotta beat the best, in all aspects of the game including $$$! Fan Boy? Hilarious, ok IGLA boot licker
This isnt the way. Ravelco has prevented theft on my vehicle twice. You may install a superior product but thats up to the consumer to decide. Putting out videos of how to guides for criminals and dragging another company which in your view has no competition is not the way. Even if i was shopping around for a new system. This isnt the way. I would not support the product.
Compustar when installed correctly even though it is installer friendly is much harder to bypass. Again I state when installed correctly. If you get a lazy or new installer they won’t make changes to the install to make it harder. Although with drone. And two way remotes it gives you a lot more notice than a ravelco can.
I understand the point bro but why would you expose a product paid by thousands of people who have that installed on their car, that's foul play, I know you have knowledge but you shouldn't expose that to thieves to prove a point for your product.
Unfortunately I can’t recommend anything else because it is fortunately the best available. It is expensive starting at 1200. But it’s the most intuitive easy most effective way to protect most push to start and some blades key cars
Ok, BS - you have the car ON, the signal is available...let it go into sleep, then you have to have the ability to turn it on...then go through the probing. BTW, what a tool to post this in the open.
First off you should probably research what you’re talking about first. Second I do not need to have the ignition on. In the video some stuff was done on purpose to make it seem like it’s hard. But in reality it’s easier than I made it seem and there is a universal bypass method. Assuming you have this worthless device. Have a good day.
Takes all of 45 seconds to pull the fuel pump relay and put it in your pocket. Most thieves don't carry a spare one. Even if they make a key, if no gas gets to the engine, they'll be pushing it.
IGLA, made in Russia. Costs $1500 plus. Four primary wires on the IGLA - power, ground, and two data lines. Cut any one of those and the IGLA is dead. I'm sure we can expect the Ravelco guys to post a nice friendly video like this on how the IGLA can be bypassed....
You do know that Russians and Germans are responsible for most of the advancements in vehicle communications etc right ? Sure if you find it😊. No road maps. Doesn’t present it self. Ravelco gives you a road map to the interface and wiring being interrupted. Not to mention on the Trx guys been fighting a slow crank changed out batteries etc. end result ravelco removed slow crank left with it.
