I found this game about half a year ago (or something like that) and finally bought it a few weeks ago. This game is everything I wanted from a Zelda style dungeon maker and I am very happy that multiple youtubers are talking about this now.

Fun video as always. This is such a cool game. I picked it up a year or so ago roughly I think it was. I sadly didn't' play to to much because none of my friends ended up being interested. Super happy to see they have updated and added it seems like a lot since I played it. Will have to load it up again and give it another go~

Just catching up with your videos -- I liked your dungeon because it actually makes sense. It's hard to find decent builders, with that being said, awesome video! I would watch more of these if you did them.

This was a neat little game! Funny how they chose a chicken as the animal, since there are the chicken things that are in the game . . . I can't remember they're name. Is Toad disguised as a chicken because he went to jail for rigging the chest game? Did he escape? This Toad lore is getting deep . . . this wasn't meant to happen. Fink instead of Link . . . sure. Jumping Spiders sounds terrifying. Nice little game seems well made. Dungeon you made looked cool too! Have a good rest of your day (Insert reader name)

I heart maker games! Darb could you do another video on Super Mario Maker World Engine? It is still alive and many players might not know.
Commenting on an older video, but this game is awesome. The dev did an awesome job. Also, I'm sure people have mentioned it, but the links awakening remaster on switch is a great game that you should play if you get the chance. I'd watch a let's play of that. Or playing more levels here.

It's also basically Zelda Classic + ZQuest, but much simpler so no one will have to spend DAYS learning how to make a single dungeon.
it should've been called super derp chicken thing, the deaths in this game are not pushing at all, they should bring you back to the start of the dungeon whenever you die.

Fans doing what Nintendo refuses to do. A "zelda maker" has been my dream game ever since I was a kid. Currently the closest you could get (before this game) is Zquest but it's sadly too unintuitive outdated and awkward to use, however this games super mario maker approach makes it significantly more user friendly. If they add workshop support this could be one of the best "maker" games out there.
And to be honest, the fact it plays pretty much exactly like Zelda makes me like it more. Nintendo won't be doing this anytime soon so i'm absolutely down for it.
For some reason, this game kind of reminds me of a Switch game I used to play called SuperMash. You pick from these six different genres and the game will generate a small game out of them. They do get repetitive once you get used to the genres.

The god like beings that are the cuccos have transformed Link into a chicken as punishment for all the torture he has inflected on those birds over the years.
In all seriousness I would like to see what you can actually do in this game. What are the items available to you, what enemies are available, and how much can you customize the health of Fink and the enemies. It has a cool art style and a user friendly interface.
The only drawback is that it lacks some of the story telling elements and power progression that is possible in something like Zelda classic. It is only a dungeon creator, not a world creator.

I think that 'Super Dungeon Maker' was inspired by the dungeons of the 'Legend of Zelda', not the games in general! ^_^ There is more to the games than the dungeons! I hope that if Nintendo ever does make a 'Legend of Zelda' maker game, that it will have Overworlds, with Towns/Villages, not just dungeons! :D
I think that would be too much. Maker games flow better when the levels can be beaten in a decent amount of time IMO.
@@BlueTelevisionGames I didn't mean huge Overworlds, with dungeons in them! I meant like a 'Legend of Zelda' maker game, but it follows the same kind of theme as the 'Super Mario Maker' games, like you can create some areas that look like dungeons, and some areas that look like they're from an Overworld, and you have to have Link travel through each area to get to the end! XD
Hi Can you play mari0 12 maps of xmas 4? the newest installation of the mari0 christmas mappack series and it's a lot of fun with good humor and cool boss fights
You could create your own dungeon in Link’s Awakening for the Nintendo Switch, but you can only create dungeons from all the dungeon rooms that you already visited from the dungeons already built into the game. Therefore, none of the dungeons you could make were truly unique, only the arrangement or order of rooms can be unique. Plus, you couldn’t share the dungeons you made online or play multiplayer. I understand it was designed like that so no one could create an impossible to clear dungeon or one that soft blocks you, even though the game checks to make sure that doesn’t happen like if your dungeon has an odd amount of staircases and one staircase doesn’t connect to any other rooms or if there’s too many locked doors and not enough keys or because of the way you arrange your dungeon rooms with lock doors or keys, some rooms may still not have an accessible route to get inside them like if the next room only has 1 key and 4 locked doors, but depending on and among which door you unlocked, the next room doesn’t have any keys to unlock any of the other 3 doors making them inaccessible or if a room has an exit, but it’s not connected to any of the other rooms or if you don’t put a boss fight room in your dungeon. Sense the game checks for all that anyways, I don’t understand why they couldn’t allow you to share your dungeons online or locally, or at least make a multiplayer mode which would’ve been so cool.
