I loved this.l was a boarder at Blanceland 60 years ago above the valley.Happy memories!
We visited here only yesterday. Beautiful view and food. Great little video ‘living in Guernsey’ well worth a visit on a lazy Sunday afternoon
I worked in the cafe in the 60s when a lovely man, Mr Gentle ran the tea rooms. It was a wonderful job.
How nice is this. Its only when you get older you appreciate these beautiful places/views.
Renoir loved that view too. Can go to New York and enjoy the view from the tearoom on at least one of his paintings...
The birds were amazing. Always loved going there - mind you when we went there there wasn't a café that I can remember. I'm talking 50s!! Thanks Ross.
I cant manage that walk anymore so thank you for letting me see it again ❤❤
You are so welcome
I have discovered all these small roads, lanes and footpaths during several years, using a map you can find at the tourist information center for example. This is a nice place to swim… at low tide ! I have never had a drink at the café, it was always closed. I see it has been renewed and the Renoir cottage too.
We worked at the Bon Port Hotel 1976 and this was our local beach. Gail
Stunning spot for a cafe! 👏
It really is!
Thanks for a delightful film again, we stayed in a hotel in that area many years ago. I think it was called Hougue fougue or something similar, it actually had the Renoir painting there, it was quite small I seem to remember. Thanks again for good memories. Diane
Thanks for the info!
Lovely already pining to come back and I was only there 4 weeks ago ....love the south coast absolutely beautiful ❤
It really is!
Ross you have no thumbs up on the screen, but 54 people have left thumbs down I assume by mistake. just thought you should know. Lesley, Victoria, BC. Canada.
Can I ask if you were able to monetise your youtube channel? Is Guernsey one of the eligible countries? Per list it’s not.
bit to hilly for me
