I work in consumer electronics. Buying a Smart TV requires A LOT of homework and research. If you do that well, you will get the right model that suits your needs and budget.
The NU8000 is basically the cheapest way to get some of the amazing HDMI 2.1 gaming features in 2018. Gamers (especially Xbox gamers) need to get this or a Samsung Q series. The best thing to do is wait until next year, when EVERY TV will have these features.

Hi ✋🏼 , i have a several questions and i can’t find any information about my questions.I came here because, you guys are experts on everything that has motions inside of a frame 😄👍🏼 My questions; What are usb ports of NU8000 is capable to do ? Like, what kind of formats (mkv,mp4 etc.) can it play from hdd ? Can 4k HDR movies up to triple layer ones like 80-100gb playable without any issues ? How much gb/tb external hdd supported maximum ( 512gb,8tb,20tb ) ? If 4k HDR movies are playable, how is it when compared to HDMI port ? Would i lose any quality because of USB port ? Excuse me if i asked so much questions. 😄 I’m planing to get 65NU8000 in next month i hope with PS4 pro. So started doing research.
Found this if anyone interested; downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201805/20180530102420977/ENG_US_KM2ATSCN-2.0.0.pdf But still no information about max hdd capacity support and display quality differences between hdmi/usb sources if there is any.

@Nick Romano I havent had time to set it up yet, currently at work. I do know though that 4k tvs upscale lower resolution images pixel count to fit on the 4k tv so no, i dont believe the image would be distorted at all
What settings did you use for calibrating the xbox one x on the Nu8000? Also what settings did you use to calibrate your TV. Did you use Rtings settings
So the 49" version NU8000 doesn't have 120hz refresh rate? So it's better to go for 50" Ver of NU7470. Right? The major difference is HDR 10+, HDR Elite and 40W speakers. 7470 also has the HDR 10+, HLG. So which one do you think it's better to buy? If the 49NU8000 has 60hz refresh rate, it's waste of money. Better go to 7470.
Even with the Q6,7,8 &9 available the sony XF900 is still the better buy taking price v performance into consideration. I have been looking at alternatives to the xf900 and the nu800 came up but came up short.

It's my dream all along to play a game in SOE (Interpolation on) with low input lag but I'm curious will it work well? Especially on PS4 Pro that I have trouble in many games such as Monster Hunter World , Last of US , Horrizon Zero Dawn ,Uncharted4 and even latest Epic game like God of war. When I move camera horizontal it's appear ghosting or double image sometime flickering that eye irritate and this problem never gone since I bought first LCD TV 10 years ago. If someone happened to try this NU8000 with GAME MOTION PLUS please tell me about it. I curious about Its smoothness, picture artifact , de -judder and blur reduction and how well responsiveness because If it's work well this will be my new TV.
Yes it's true that you can achieve an interpolated 120 FPS @ 1080p on a console with this TV (or 60 FPS @ 4K), and have very low input lag. However, interpolation introduces motion artifacts that are annoying to some people. Personally I don't mind, but you might want to check out this video that shows the differences when playing on a console with Game Motion Plus on and off. In my opinion I'll take a smooth 120 FPS with some artifacts any day over a choppy, but artifact-free 30/60 FPS. Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/tMAwu1zPcmE/w-d-xo.html

You always recommend TVs other than the one you reviewing .. I really can't take a decision from your videos.
They are always giving you alternatives and how they compare to the model in review. You should make your own decision based on your budget and priorities.
I work in consumer electronics. Buying a Smart TV requires A LOT of homework and research. If you do that well, you will get the right model that suits your needs and budget.
Love your tests !! Any way to get a test on Philips 55PUS8602 ? Cheers :)
The NU8000 is basically the cheapest way to get some of the amazing HDMI 2.1 gaming features in 2018. Gamers (especially Xbox gamers) need to get this or a Samsung Q series. The best thing to do is wait until next year, when EVERY TV will have these features.
Jas ThePeach does every monitor have these features?
C Anderson No there are very few monitors that support HDMI 2.1 and they are very expensive.
he says that it does not support HDMI 2.1, but you say it does?
@@irritatedpanda6489 hdmi 2.1 isnt even a thing yet we are like atleast 2 years away
2.1 hdmi is more than 3 years in future.
Not talking about prices: Samsung QE55Q6F, Samsung 55NU8000 or LG 55SK9000?
Thx for review anyway :)
Hi nice and detailed review.
But for a layman who watches tv in a good light room and mostly straight sitting , which one is better SAMSUNG UA75NU8000 or
SONY X8500F.
I mostly watch movies and sports on tv .
Please do let me no
Shawnn Kalon both r really great....... If it is straight sight then u can buy both..... But if uf is a wide sitting then u should go for sony
I don t know why, but my tv doesnt what to set 1440p 120hz custome rezolution :(
Great review
Bought this tv at best buy yesterday for 899+ tax, it used to be 1199 but i guess they are on sale. They also have the 55inch qled6 for 799 so thats not a bad deal either
I'm thinking about buying the 49 inch one for 600 euros converted 673 dollars. Not sure yet though.. I wanna have like a enjoyable movie experience like watching Infinity war and having a great gaming experience. You tested anything out? movies, gaming or what so ever? got a 32 inch samsung lcd tv now so it would deff be an upgrade but I mean do you feel like you really watching a 4k movie or nah?
@@sani-thedutchserbianmuslim8708 I have yet to watch a movie on it but the gameplay smoothness/picture quality is amazing. I was playing on a 40in samsung hd smart tv before but this 4k shit is next level
I paid 319 at bjs for a display model
Hi,are NU8000 has better black level in dark room then ks8000? Thanks for info
Adrian Falkirk yes
@@sivashankar5021 but if you use subtitles picture goes to bright and black go to Grey becouse local dimming can't be off. Great TV but not for all. Bixby don't work on European also (only English, German and Italian wtf?) not support dts audio. For gaming is good that's why I will buy it soon, but for moves is poor.
fedur82able I don't find these issues bro...... Maybe bcoz my
Room is a small one
@@fedur82able What tv is better for movies with subtitles with comparable price?
@@jjoriley2221 none, not on Poland samsung ue55nu8072bis best for its price i pay 800€ euro . If you add more here you can get Sony 55 xe9005 or specialy 55b7 oled both 1300€ what is best for moves with subtitle, but the price is too big. I change some options on swmsubg and for now Samsung is good for me for watching moves super for games but for tv is weak becouse I have weak sd signal 576i and only few 1080p canals so it looks ugly, my plazma is better for that. I have no cable TV only that from air antena here.
What are common problems with 75+ inch TVs in general? Are they at higher risk to screen issues apposed to smaller tvs?
Getting one for Christmas with a ps pro
I am looking at buying a new tv would you recommend this over the Samsung q6f 82 inch want too know which one would be good for gaming on console and watching videos
Hi ✋🏼 , i have a several questions and i can’t find any information about my questions.I came here because, you guys are experts on everything that has motions inside of a frame 😄👍🏼
My questions;
What are usb ports of NU8000 is capable to do ?
Like, what kind of formats (mkv,mp4 etc.) can it play from hdd ?
Can 4k HDR movies up to triple layer ones like 80-100gb playable without any issues ?
How much gb/tb external hdd supported maximum ( 512gb,8tb,20tb ) ?
If 4k HDR movies are playable, how is it when compared to HDMI port ? Would i lose any quality because of USB port ?
Excuse me if i asked so much questions. 😄 I’m planing to get 65NU8000 in next month i hope with PS4 pro. So started doing research.
Found this if anyone interested;
downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201805/20180530102420977/ENG_US_KM2ATSCN-2.0.0.pdf
But still no information about max hdd capacity support and display quality differences between hdmi/usb sources if there is any.
I’ve got this tv it’s stunning 😍 Xbox one x games never looked so good, I did have the 49” version but took back and got the 55” def the right choice, had to swap living room around to fit it in though! 😂
60hz vs 120hz panels
Can you please explain the differences between NU8000 and NU7470 ?
Why at 3:10, does it say for the most part, that the nits on the SDR content is higher than that of the HDR content? Is this accurate?
Bestbuy got a sale on them and I bought one yesterday. My first tv that I splurged on lol
Costco has a good sale too! + 3 year Square Trade Warranty
@Nick Romano i grabbed a 65 inch at best buy yesterday for 899 plus tax. Was 1199 so saved 300
@Nick Romano I havent had time to set it up yet, currently at work. I do know though that 4k tvs upscale lower resolution images pixel count to fit on the 4k tv so no, i dont believe the image would be distorted at all
What would you prefer if you compare thr Samsung 65nu800 vs the Sony 65x900E?
What settings did you use for calibrating the xbox one x on the Nu8000? Also what settings did you use to calibrate your TV. Did you use Rtings settings
I wish this was 40-43inches... 49 is to big for a monitor and the 7100 doesn't have the freesync, kinda sad, maybe we get new options this year
0:04 is the best fucking part of the video. He waves his hand all the way up in the air. 😂
How is the picture quality compared to the x900e especially the hdr quality AT gaming and movies?
Even with the Q6,7,8 &9 available the sony XF900 is still the better buy taking price v performance into consideration.
I have been looking at alternatives to the xf900 and the nu800 came up but came up short.
All I know is I can’t wait for the new TCL 600 series to come out on May 1st.

This TV in the 75'' is £1775 in UK right now. Do these types of TV's usually drop in price or should I just buy it now? I've seen plenty of TV's drop in price but not sure if this one will.
How does the tv gets such contrast with an edge lit?
Hello how it stands vs SK9500?
Where are the screws to remove the back panel for repair?

Clockwork 2020 maybe. Most likely 2021

Does this already come with amazon prime video?
Does 200Hz matters with this tv? Should I go for a higher Hz?
I just ordered this TV for $1000 from the Military Exchange website. Best buy has it right now for $1200, but on Black Friday it will be $998. I decided to go ahead and get it now I didn't want to take the chance of not getting it on Black Friday. I should have it on Wednesday.
It's $750 on newegg
HauntyMoto not the 65in. I got already and I didn't pay any tax plus I'm saving 10%
